Be Ware Of BBR

BE WARE of Brody Britain Racing

Be ware of BBR, they once sold me a faulty custom made Clutch. The installation and removal was done in the Fiat Lancia Alpha Service Station by experienced technicians and engineers. BBR first agreed to replace the clutch for free agreeing that I ship to them the faulty one. But then I asked for a performance clutch which was going to be more expensive. I thought that I'd pay the difference and that's it. But they sent me a fax asking me for full price, At that time I sent them a harsh fax stating that this was their fault and they must understand that. They replied by insinuating that I'm an inexperienced driver and their company helps such small teams like mine blah blah blah ... The next fax to me included that the guy who sold me the clutch (which I have a recording with his voice that he will send me a new original as a replacement for free) is no longer in the same department.

Although they did supply me with other stuff for my Evo, but when it came to standing by their customers, they chose not to.

Another incident with a friend of mine in Cairo with a specially built gearbox for his VW GTi, which led to a cover becoming loose so that the geerbox' oil is spilled while on the high way leading to the damage of most gears. Also, the VW Service Station in Cairo was certain that this was the fault of who built the gearbox.

When I was in London November 97, I also heard an unfortunate story about another customer, but this time an English one.

It's a shame because I hear that not everything they do is bad.

People other than me who complains from BBR

In response to my complaint about BBR, I received the following complaints from other BBR customers :

I also have had a bad experience with BBR.After having them fit their lowered springs & setup my suspension geometry, the handling of my HF4WD became very nervous & twitchy. They had put 2 1/2 degrees negative camber on the front,(too much for a road car) hadn't adjusted the rear toe/tracking at all, & left the rear suspension sitting on the bumpstops.

After I complained to them, they blamed me for having bald tyres on my car & said that the car had to be driven to settle, although this did not stop them from setting the front up, also I could have driven it to settle it, on their large & private site. After they had reset the negative camber to 1 degree, & set the rear toe, they then CHARGED me for this. Also I believe that the spring rates are for a 16V Integrale which has a thicker front anti roll bar than the HF4WD & 8V Integrale, as I was not happy with the handling even after this.

Any other complaints are welcome to be posted here.
