Cockie - Cockroach, or Cockatoo
Cooee - A call used fo find someone lost in the bush
Cop out - Give up or give in
Cossie - Swimsuit
Couch Potato - Person who watches TV for long periods of time
Crash - Go to sleep, often at someone else's house
Cuppa - Cup of tea
Cushie - To hae it easy

Dag - Idiot, or unfashionable person, 'daggy'
Daks - Mens trousers
Damper - Bread made from flour and water on a campfire in the bush
Deadcert - Definate, certain
Deadhead - Good for nothen person
Deadset - Truthful
Dero - Homeless person, derilict, hobo
Didgeridoo - Aboriginal musical instrument made from a hollowed log
Digger - Australian soldier (usually WW1 vets)
Dill - idiot, being silly
Dinki-Di -  Genuine, honest
Dob in - Inform on someone
Doona - Duvet, quilt
Drongo - idiot
Dunny - Toilter, referring to the old outdoor variety

Jaffa - Orange flavored chocolate ball, with hard orange coating

Lolly - Sweets, candy
Longneck - Tall bottle of beer, 750ml or 26oz
Lucky Country - Nickname for Australia
Lurk - Illegal practice, dodge, racket

Mate - Friend, used instead of someones name!
Mates rates - Discount rates given to freinds

Pav - Pavlova-Australian desert: a meringue base with fruit and cream topping

Troppo- Slighty mad, from being in the sun too long
True blue - Genuinely Australian
Tub -  Bath
Tucker - Food
Two-up - Gambling game involving throwing two coins in the air from a holder

Unreal - Excellent
Up Yourself - Inflated ego
Ute - Utility Van with tray top, used by tradesman (and freaks like Mick)

Vegemite - Yeast spread; An acqured taste, useful hangover cure
Veg out - Relax
Violet Crumble - Chocolate coated honey comb bar

Walkabout - Disappeared, gone on a long walk
Wharfie - Dock worker
Whinge - Complain
Wino - Alcoholic (usually found drinking cheap cask wine)
Within Cooee - Close by, in hearing distance
Wobbly - Excitable behaviour "Chucka wobbly" get mad
Wog - Flu
Wowser - Killjoy, party pooper
