CONCLUSIONS
It follows from our results that the use of the
kinematically corrected impulse approximation improves the agreement between
the calculated and experimentally observed quantities for pA and
p A scattering, and it confirms the simplicity
of the mechanism of the K+A interaction; however, the
deviation from experiment in the low-energy region is not completely eliminated.
For further improvement of the agreement with experiment, it is apparently
necessary to take into account the influence of the nuclear medium on the
elementary interaction and to use algorithms for constructing the xA
potential like those of Refs. 9, 88, and
89. For xd scattering, it is desirable to use three-particle computational
schemes like those of Refs. 39 and 90.
