Photographed on Oct. 13, 2001 in Gillies Grove, in Arprior. One of two fungi found growing against or on rotting wood at ground level. I revisited the same site a week later and photographed one of the fungi (see below). Both fungi had collapsed during the previous week and were barely recognizable.
