"Hello?" she answered. "Hi Hun, it's me." "Oh hi, mom. What's up?" Breanna asked. "Not much. Is Eve around? I have a surprise for the both of you." she said. Breanna could guess by her mothers tone of voice that this would be a call that would change her entire weekend...for the better. "She's in the shower. Tell me what the surprise is. I could use the cheering up." Breanna commented nonchalantly. "Well, I guess I can tell you. Marilyn called me an hour or so ago. She got some mail for Eve. It's from your university." Her mom said excitedly. "You better have your bags packed by August. You're going to Florida!" her mom yelled. Breanna screamed as loud as she could. "Ohmigod! Mom I'll call you back!" Breanna screamed. "But..." her mom started but Breanna had already hung up. Breanna ran downstairs in a towel to find Eve. Eve was in the kitchen in her towel with her headphones on. "All my useless advice. All my hanging around. All your cutting down to size..." Eve was singing along with Depeche Mode. "Eve!!!" Breanna screamed while pulling off Eve's headphones. Eve jumped. "Damn, don't ever scare me like that again or I'll kick your ass!" Eve screamed back. "No, Eve, listen to me. My mom just called. Your mom just called her. Um, we have to pack our bags..." Breanna started to explain. "Why?" Eve looked scared at first, then freaked out. Breanna looked as if she had been crying but she also looked as if she was delusional. She was just too happy for Eve. "We're going to Florida, baby! We made it in!" "OH MY GOD!!!!!!!" Eve screamed. "We're going to Florida! We're going to Florida!" Both girls said while jumping up and down together in the kitchen. It hit both girls that they were leaving California. "AHHHHHHH!" they screamed on the top of their lungs. All of a sudden there was a knock on the door. Both girls giggled and ran to the door. "I think we have some explaining to do." Breanna said as she answered the door.

"Are you alright? I heard some screaming and I thought..." the man started to explain. "Oh, no, we're fine. Thank you." Eve said. "We were just accepted by a graduate school at the University of Central Florida. We've been planning on going to graduate school together but we never dreamed that it would happen. Our families just called us to let us know and, well, you're probably wondering what we're doing answering the door in a towel. Uhm, well..." Breanna looked down. She was turning red. "We were getting ready to go out and well, we got the phone call and all." She started explaining. "No need, ladies. I'm kind of enjoying the view." he remarked. "I'd invite you in but um, we're not dressed. I don't think you'd be too comfortable." Breanna said. Just then she felt cool cloth rolling over her shoulders. Eve had ran upstairs to Breanna's room and grabbed Breanna's robe while grabbing hers along with it. "Well, never mind." Breanna said quietly. "You'll have to excuse Breanna. She's an exhibitionist by nature and she's not used to being this covered up." Eve joked. He laughed, "Oh really? You sound like me." He said. "Come inside." Breanna said ushering the man inside. "Hi, I'm Breanna. You can call me Bre, or B, or whatever you want." Breanna said handing him her hand. "How about I call you beautiful?" he said laughing. "Nice to meet you. I'm AJ" he said while shaking her hand. "That's Eve over there." Breanna said pointing to Eve who was calling her mom. "Nice to meet you." He mouthed to Eve as she talked to her mother who had just answered the phone. AJ cocked his head to one side. "You look really familiar." He said to her. "McDonalds!" He heard Eve shout from the living room. "Ah, the famous McDonald's ladies." AJ cooed. "Excuse me?" Breanna asked with a confused look on her face. She went into the kitchen. "Want something to drink?" She asked AJ. "Bottled water or a coke is fine. All of my buddies saw you both today at the rest stop. Brian and Nick saw you two get on an elevator and thought it was kind of weird that you were here, in the same hotel we're in. Especially on the same floor." AJ explained. "I have both. Here, have a coke. Oh, ok. Yeah, I thought I recognized one of the guys from this afternoon. He was shorter..." Breanna started to explain. "That was Brian. Coke's fine. Thanks." "He was a nice looking guy." Breanna said while looking down trying to open her can. "Oh, so you *were* checking him out." AJ said cracking up. "Checking who out? Brian? The one I saw at the elevator today?" She said as she opened her Dr. Pepper. "Yeah. You see, my friends, Brian and Howie, kept saying that the cute girl in the too-short-of-a-blue-dress was checking them out. Brian swore that you were checking Howie out and Howie swore that you were checking Brian out." AJ said in between sips. "Ok, let me get this straight," Breanna said as she tried to hop onto the counter. "You friends talked about me?" "Yeah, here, let me help you." AJ said as he picked Breanna up by the waist and placed her gently on top of the counter. "Thanks." Breanna said. "I didn't think I left an impression on them." Breanna stated. "Oh you did. And so did that cute friend of yours." AJ said pointing to Eve who was in deep conversation with her mother. "She did? On who?" "Kevin." AJ said quickly. "Ok, who's Kevin? Tall blonde boy or Mr. Greek God?" Breanna asked as she took another sip of her soda. "Must be Mr. Greek God as you put it. Tall guy, dark hair, blue eyes..." AJ started explaining. "No need to explain further. Eve's been talking about him all day. At one point I threatened to throw her out of the car if she didn't shut up." Breanna complained. "Must have been a fun trip." AJ said trying to sound sarcastic. "Oh it was!" Breanna said rolling her eyes. "So, can I ask who I might have left an impression on?" Breanna asked in a shy voice. "You're turning red. That's cute. Um, well, Howie was probably the one who really got turned on. Brian is having problems with his girlfriend so he's not really looking at the ladies right now. Personally I think the entire female species is pissing him off this week." AJ tried to explain. "And who would Howie be?" Breanna asked. "Oh, shorter looking guy, about ye high, dark hair, dark eyes, um..." AJ described. "Oh, ok. Again, no need to go further." Breanna said as a shy smile crept across her face. "Oh! So I guess it wasn't Brian you had your eyes set on after all." AJ said as he finished his last mouthful of coke. "Um, well..." Breanna tried to explain. "Haha, beautiful, it's ok. I totally see where you're coming from. You like my man Howie over there." AJ said while pointing to his left. "He's down the hall if you need him." AJ said with a wink. "I'll keep that in mind." Breanna said as she hopped off the counter with AJ's assistance. "B, that was your mom on the other line. Want to get excited again?" Eve asked. "Go for it! What did she say?" Breanna asked happily. "Well, your cousin Sveyta is going to Europe because she got a job offer but she doesn't want to give up her house in Orlando and all so she thought that we could...." Eve managed to get some of the words out as Breanna grabbed AJ's arm with excitement. "NO WAY!" Breanna screamed and ran towards her best friend with open arms as both girls jumped up and down in an embrace. "Now this is the kind of Kodak moment I'd love to capture!" AJ said aloud. Just then, another knock on the door. This time AJ answered as the girls kept hugging and jumping. "Hey D! Come in!" AJ said. Howie awkwardly walked into the hotel room. "You left to go check on where that scream came from and you didn't come back so I thought...." Howie stopped when he saw Breanna and Eve hugging and jumping in short bathrobes. It was obvious they had little on underneath. "Enjoy the view, D. They're too excited to notice you're here." AJ commented under his breath. "What's going on?" Howie asked. "Tell ya later." AJ answered while smiling on, staring at the girls. "Oh my god." Eve said staring at Howie. "B, look behind you!" She said as Breanna turned around. One look at Howie and she screamed without realizing it, scaring Howie at the same time. AJ fell to the floor laughing. "AJ!" Breanna scold. AJ put his hands up into the air showing that he was defenseless. "Hey, now, he was just as concerned with the welfare of two young, beautiful ladies as I was." he said in Howie's defense. "Sorry..." Howie started to say "No, it's ok. I'll be back." Breanna said as she turned around and walked upstairs. When she got into her room she screamed with happiness and hormones. The man she totally flipped for at McDonalds was now standing in her hotel rooms kitchen.
