Chapter 33, Lunch Date |
The week flew by for everyone. Brian lucked out as Izabel agreed to move to Orlando so he could be closer to their son. Breanna and Eve had no trouble with their finals. Nick went on a few dates and even managed to get lucky a few times while in LA. AJ partied hard with Alexei, his new best friend. And Kevin and Howie couldn't believe how in love they were with their girls. Breanna and Eve were already moved out of their houses with their belongings on their way to Orlando. Things were going smoothly for everyone.
"So Rok, what's up with you?" Breanna asked Brian over lunch. They decided to hang out together that day to catch up on everything. "Nothings up. Why?" He asked Breanna with a glowing smile. "Well!?" she kicked him softly under the table. "What do you want to know?" He asked her. She smiled slowly as she looked upwards trying to think of something to ask him. "Okay, 20 questions!" She said excitedly. Brian grimaced as he placed his napkin on the table. "Oh, Bree...noooo...!" He whined. "C'mon!" She nudged him again with her foot. "Okay, okay...fine. But I get to ask you 20 things, too. And you *have* to be honest with me. No lying! And I promise I won't tell D." Brian tried to turn the tables on Breanna but surprisingly she agreed. "Okay...let's see..." Breanna thought for a few seconds. Brian became slightly nervous because he knew he couldn't lie. Breanna would see right through it.
"So, how's fatherhood?"
"It's hard. I didn't think it would take this much energy out of me but it does. When he's around and even when he's not around I have to be totally responsible, really aware of my actions. But, at the same time I love it. Thomas is starting to call me daddy." Brian replied with a smile thinking about his little boy.
"What's up with you a Izabel?"
"What do you mean? Okay! Stop kicking me! I won't be able to dance later tonight. Um, I don't know what's up. We're trying to be the best parents we can be but it's kinda hard for us to pick up where we left off. For me it is, anyway. I'm afraid she's going to leave again."
"Do you love her?"
Brian sighed. "More than I thought I did. After seeing her again that night in the club, I realized that she was all I ever wanted. And I honestly have to admit, I barely know her! But, yeah, I love her."
"Have you two had sex yet?"
"Breanna! Of course we have...how would I explain Thomas? Oh, you mean lately!? No, we haven't. Okay...next question." Brian was very uncomfortable.
"Okay. Have you two kissed at least? And I don't mean pecks. I mean full on lips, tonsil hockey, tongues being sucked, kissing."
Brian's mouth dropped at Breanna's description. "We've kissed like normal people." Brian smiled in reply. Breanna kicked him again. "Ouch! Fine! No, we haven't. We're still not sure where we are at this point."
"So, what's next for you guys?"
"You know about as much as I do. She's moving to Orlando with Lita and Thomas. I'm going to help them get a new house near mine and if things work out well for us then hopefully she'll move in with me."
"Do you think you could possibly get married?"
"Anything's possible, Breen."
"So, more kids with Izabel."
Brian didn't reply. He only smiled. "Okay, no answer for that one. Anyway, I'm done. I have no more questions." Breanna smiled. Brian nodded his head as an evil grin appeared. "Oh no..what do you have planned?" Breanna was nervous. Brian laughed. "My turn!" Brian replied excitedly. "Why do I get the feeling I should be drunk right now?" Breanna asked nervously as Brian smirked at her. "Hehehehe" Brian said.
"Question number one. How long have you and D been gettin' it on?"
"Oh geez...you perv! Ever since the night before you guys showed your face in Santa Monica." Breanna bluntly replied.
"Uh-huh. What took you two so long?"
"So long? Ask D! He wanted to wait until I was in Orlando and we knew things would work out for us. But, one night we were talking about our pasts and I finally told him everything about me, things Eve doesn't even know and he told me some things about himself and it was a little emotional for both of us so I guess we sought comfort in each other." Breanna explained as she played with the wrapper from her straw. Brian nodded his head. This wasn't going to turn into some funny, perverted game of 20 questions like he had originally planned.
"What did you tell him?"
"Just things that happened in my past. My ex boyfriend and something else."
"Oh. I won't push you to tell me anything."
"You're not pushing me. I'll eventually tell her but I have some strange sibling connection with you that I don't have with her. Probably cause I'm used to having a brother in my life." Brian nodded his head as he continued to listen to Breanna talk. "Let's see if I can sum up what happened to me in a couple of sentences. I was 17, with an abusive older guy, I got pregnant, he beat me cause I wouldn't get rid of the baby and because of that I lost the baby. No one knows about the abuse but Lex knows about the baby. He's the only one who understood me at the time. I didn't even know Eve yet."
Brian's chin dropped in reaction. "My God...are you okay? I mean, duh, of course you are but at the time?"
"I was okay. My parents were out of town on business at the time and Lex was playing my guardian when I went into the hospital during the miscarriage. He helped me pay the hospital bills. We stole them out of the mail when they came in and had the insurance pay for the normal, unsuspecting things like blood tests and antibiotics but the hospital stay was paid for by me and Lex. He used some of the left over money from his scholarships to help me."
"No wonder you two are really close."
Breanna nodded her head. "We've always been close, ever since I was born." She smiled proudly.
"I'm glad things have turned out for the best. So, to change the subject slightly, what did D tell you?"
"Everything about Helaina."
"WHAT? He told you? Wow, he is serious about you. That woman fucked him over so bad. How'd you take it?"
"I was pissed...at her. She hurt him so bad and I hated hearing the pain in his voice as he explained. It was like he was apologizing for his past. It wasn't his fault. He was blind, that's all. I wish he'd stop blaming himself for who she was and still is." Breanna was angry again.
"Okay, this is depressing. Time for a little fun!" Brian ran his hand through his hair laughing at the question he finally came up with.
"What's the kinkiest thing you two have done so far?"
"BRIAN! Damn, boy. You need to get lucky."
"Nu-uh! Look what happens when you have sex. I plan to have Thomas all to myself for a couple of years before more of them come into my life."
"You're such a cornball! Anyway, kinkiest? Um, I don't know. It's been pretty normal for us. Let me get back to you on that one next week." Breanna said with a wink.
Brian's chin dropped again. "You and D are such opposites. I have no idea how you two connect so well."
"That's easy. I'm multifaceted. What you see isn't what you get. I'm one way with you, I'd be another way if I were kickin' back with AJ alone, and I'm someone totally different with D. I'm still the same person but D gets to see all of me." Breanna smiled at the thought.
"Yeah I bet he gets to see all of you." Brian mumbled to himself. "OUCH! What was that for?" Brian asked, leaning down to rub his shin. "I heard that Rok!" Breanna complained. "Anyway, wanna go shopping? I wanna buy Thomas some things. We can talk some more." "Sure!" Breanna replied with glee. Shopping was her favorite pastime.
After the bill was paid Brian and Breanna drove to the Gendale Galleria. Brian was still driving the rented BMW as Breanna explained where to park. "So you've never been here?" "Nope!" Brian replied. "Doesn't look so big." He added. "It is. Trust me! It's not the size that counts really, it's the selection!" Breanna loved shopping more than anybody and this place was one of her favorites. "That's what all girls say. 'It's not the size.'" Brian said in a whining female voice. "Honestly, it isn't the size. Guys have such egos to protect." Breanna replied in joking disgust. Brian glanced at her and rolled his eyes. "Ladies first!" He stated as he held the door open for Breanna. "Shit! I should be holding the door open for *you*...especially after Vegas." She teased. "It never happened. I don't remember a thing!" He said as he walked through the door behind Breanna. "Because you don't remember then that means it didn't happen?" She asked in shock. "Yup!" Brian replied with confidence. "I say if I don't remember it and you don't have evidence, then it never happened." "You are so mislead. We have the best kind of evidence." Breanna replied walking into the closest toy store. "Your memory? Sorry, darlin', but you were all wasted." He followed Breanna to the baby toy section of the store. "Memory? Ha! We have it on video." She replied nonchalantly glancing up at the toys on the top shelf trying to decide which toys would suit Thomas considering his age. Brian gasped as he tried to comprehend what Breanna just explained to him. "VIDEO!?" Breanna nodded her head as she reached for the top shelf and grabbed a hold of a set of colorful Sesame Street toys. "Yup! You can thank my boyfriend for that." She stated, tossing the toys to Brian who caught them without blinking, staring at Breanna in horror. "Dammit, D! Has anyone seen this video yet?" He asked laughing. "Nope! I want to see it but D or Kev owns the copyright on it." She teased.
After a couple of hours at the Galleria, both emerged with bag after bag filled with toys and clothes. "Ya know, we should have waited until we got to Orlando. Where are we going to put this stuff?" "We could always send it on ahead of us tomorrow." Breanna suggested. "Yeah, I guess we could do that." "Anyway, Bri, we're leaving for Orlando in two days. When we get there we'll have two days before we're off to Sweden. There's no time to shop for him." Breanna explained. "You're right! Like always!" He stated leaning in to give her a small peck on the lips. "C'mon! Everyone's gonna wonder what happened to us." Breanna explained tugging on his arm to get into the drivers side of the car. They had already packed the trunk with things for Thomas. "Alright! Alright! Let's get goin'!" He stated. Breanna grabbed his keys and opened the door for him. "Ladies, first!" She exclaimed. Brian laughed at her excitement. He placed his arms around her waist and pulled her in for a tight hug. "Thanks for such a nice day, sis!" He smiled looking into her eyes. "That's what a family's for." She stated with a grin. "Exactly." He replied. Breanna climbed into the car on his side and climbed over his seat to get to her seat but didn't make it across the seat exactly. "OUCH!" She yelled out as Brian laughed uncontrollably. "Ya had that one comin' all day." He stated. Brian took the perfect opportunity to kick Breanna in the ass.
