Chapter Three, The Arrival

"God damn, this is EXACTLY what I had pictured this place to be like!" Eve exclaimed. "You've never been here?" Breanna casually asked. "Nuh uh," Eve mumbled. "Oh, I thought you had." Breanna said. "Nope, never. My uncle invited me once but I couldn't go because of school." Eve explained. "Damn girl, screw school! This is Vegas, baby! If we're lucky, we'll see hotter guys here than we saw at McDonald's." Breanna said as she pointed out the window to the city. Breanna wouldn't admit it to Eve, but the guy at McDonalds left a lingering effect on her. She knew she wouldn't forget that face anytime soon. She also knew that he ruined her week of romance. Breanna always believed that you only live once. There wasn't time in her life to stick to just one man. She loved having "variety" in her life. She didn't care to have the love of a man, either. She always figured that she had enough love from her friends and family. A man was for fun and pleasure. She couldn't see herself being committed. Las Vegas was to be no exception, except now she would compare every man who tried to romance her to the man who took her breath away earlier that day. She shrugged off the images she was giving herself. "B, what's up? You're in deep thought again." Eve asked. "Nothin's wrong girl. I'm fine. Just trying to take in the entire city . I want to create a mental picture I'll never forget." she explained. "Oh ok. For a second I thought you were actually thinking about your Prince." Eve giggled. "Prince?" Breanna asked as she read the street signs. "Who's my prince? What prince?" She asked Eve. "Hello?? Anyone home, B? You know who I'm talking about. Mr. Mickey D's." Eve stated. "Oh, no, I wasn't thinking about it, I mean him. I haven't really thought about him since we left McDonald's. He was just another pretty face. I'll meet many more this week." Breanna said happily.

"How many more minutes? I can't take this anymore. I feel too damn confined in this coffin!" Brian shouted. "Yo, B, calm down. We're almost there." Kevin said. "Naw, man, I know exactly how he feels. We've been on the road since early this morning." AJ complained. "Yo, guys! We just passed the Las Vegas city limits sign." Nick pointed out. "Finally! I kinda want to go out dancing tonight. Anyone gonna join me?" Howie asked as he started to put his shoes on. "Sure, I will." Kevin said as he grabbed his water bottle and took a swig. "You know where I will be!" AJ yelled over his shoulder as he walked to the back of bus. He and Nick had a game to finish. "I'll be there in a minute, Bone!" Nick yelled at him. "Sure, take your time!" AJ shouted back. "Hehe, he knows I'm gonna whoop his ass." Nick said as he walked back to the game room. "Ok, so we're goin' dancing tonight. AJ's probably gonna be in the casinos. What about you B? And Nick?" Howie asked Brian casually. "I dunno yet. I'm just gonna play it by ear and see what looks good. I'll probably end up joining you guys. Nick, too. Unless he finds some pretty young girls to hang out with." Brian said laughing. He knew Nick was shy around people he didn't know, especially the ladies. Nick would be with Brian for sure. "All right. It really doesn't matter what we do. You know how our plans go. We make plans, we never follow through with 'em. Usually a fan spots us and we're screwed." Kevin said as he saw the New York, New York hotel. "We really gotta stay there again." Kevin noted to Howie. "Man, you know how security was there. How many times did we find fans hidden away in our rooms?" Howie asked. "Too many times. You're right. We'll go when we're not touring." Kevin stated. "Cool. Ok, we'll I'm going to get my stuff together. Denise is starting to get a little pissed that we're not ready as it is." Howie said. Denise, AJ's mom and the road manager, started walking around the bus telling the guys to get ready. "We're gonna run into the hotel and security will take you up to your rooms. I'll get the keys to the rooms and meet you up there." She told the guys. "All right! Las Vegas, here I come!" AJ said in his gruffiest voice as he gathered his bags.

"Are we there, yet?" Eve asked. "See that hotel ahead of us?" Eve nodded her head. "Well, good. Get your stuff together. We're here." Breanna said calmly. When it came to traveling and hotels, Breanna was a pro. She preferred traveling over anything else. She was a frequent flyer but opted to drive this time. Breanna took traveling very serious and had a snootiness about her when it came to hotels. She demanded quality service from the hotels staff. She wasn't going to pay that kind of money unless it was worth it. Breanna and Eve stopped in front of the hotel, The MGM Grand, and had the bell boys unload the car, while valet parked it. They noticed a lot of young teenage girls walking around. A lot of them saw Breanna and Eve and pointed at them while talking quietly to each other. They gave Eve and Breanna dirty looks. "Boy, I feel welcomed!" Eve commented as they walked into the building. Breanna giggled, "There's something going on here." They walked up to the front desk and Breanna gave them their names. "Hello, I am Breanna Winterson and this Eve Lexington. You were expecting us." Eve had a hard time keeping a straight face. She knew Breanna was having a fun time BS'ing them with her faux persona. "Right away, Ms. Winterson. Gianni, take these ladies to our top executive floor." A good looking bell boy came over to escort the girls upstairs. "Ladies, these are your room keys, and here are your security passes. Please show them to the security on your floor when you exit the elevator." Breanna looked at Eve and winked. "Thank you, kind sir." She said to the manager. As they got into the elevator with the bell boy, they burst into giggles. "We're really not bitches. We're just having fun." Breanna tried to explain to the bell boy. He only smiled at them.

When they arrived on their floor Breanna and Eve showed the security guard their passes. This is a strict hotel, Breanna though. They gave the bell boy a handsome tip "Thank you, Gianni." Breanna said in her most grown up voice. He leaned over and kissed her cheek. "You're welcome." he whispered. As soon as he left, Eve wasn't sure if she should yell at her friend for flirting with the hotel staff or kiss her for booking such a beautiful room. It wasn't even a room. It was as large as her house. There were two bedrooms each with it's own bathroom, an extra bathroom, a kitchen, a living room with a large entertainment center, and the most breath taking view of the city from their large balcony. The suite was two story’s with the rooms up stairs and the extra bathroom downstairs. "The couch turns into a bed!" Eve pointed out excitedly. "Thank God! 'Cause I know I'll be too wasted to climb those stairs later on." Breanna stated. Eve only giggled. She had seen her friend drunk many times and each time was a lot of fun in her opinion. Breanna was a crazy and fun drunk. She wasn't too wild or loud. She had more guts and confidence when she was drunk which made for a lot of good times when they were around many good looking men. "Well, we've seen the bedroom. It's large, gorgeous, a dream. Let's go check out the rest of this joint." Breanna said unimpressed. Eve jumped up and grabbed her purse and ran to the door. "Aren't you forgetting something?" Breanna asked. "No, I don't think so." Eve replied. "Hun, look on the table." Breanna said pointedly. There sat Eve's room key and security pass. "Shit." Eve mumbled. "Ok, I got it. Let's go!" Eve said. "Finally! What we've been waiting for for the past two years!" Breanna said happily as they closed the door behind them.

"There are fans all over the hotel, guys. We're gonna have to make this a hit and run." Q, the bodyguard told the guys. "Ok, ready guys?" Kevin asked. "Let's roll!" AJ said. As they walked off the bus, they noticed they were in the back of the hotel. A hotel security official opened a back door and the guys ran in. They were escorted to their floor through a service elevator. "Oh, this is elegant." AJ said bluntly. "Bone, stop complaining." Nick joked. "Hey, I'm not complaining. I was just stating the obvious." "If it's obvious, then you don't need to say nothing." Nick shot back. AJ rolled his eyes. Kevin, Howie, and Brian started laughing. "Ok guys, we're getting off on this floor. We'll take the regular elevator up the last 10 story’s." The security official said. Nick and Brian were the first ones off the service elevator. They raced each other with Brian beating Nick by a fraction of a second to the regular elevator. They started bickering about who won. "No, man, I got here first. I pushed the elevator button before you did!" Brian said. "No man, I swear I got here....first...you just...pushed the button first." Nick said out of breath.

"What are you looking for?" Breanna asked Eve as she dug through her purse. "My cellphone. I want to call my parents to let them know I got here alright. I know they were worried because you were driving the entire way. I also want to rub this in my sisters faces." Eve said laughing. "Shut up about my driving, bitch!" Breanna yelled. They both started cracking up. "I also want to find my inhaler. This place really took my breath away." Breanna smacked her friend in the head for her corny joke. Just then, the elevator opened up to reveal two good looking guys. The blond one stepped into the elevator while the shorter guy with the darker hair pulled him back and pointed to the top the elevator. "Sorry guys, we're going down." Breanna said to the shorter one. Eve was still digging into her purse. The shorter guy looked at Breanna in shock. Breanna winked at him. "See ya around." she smiled as the elevator doors closed. Just then Eve looked up. Breanna had the biggest smile on her face. "What are you smiling about? See a few more guys you'd like to do on this lovely vacation?" Eve asked. "No, I saw something better." Breanna said with a tingling feeling in her stomach.

Brian looked in shock. "What is it, Frick? You look like you've seen a ghost." Nick noted. "Yeah, I admit they were cute. But we've seen hundreds of cute girls like that." He added. "No, man, it's not that. Where's D?" He asked looking around. "Behind you." Howie said. "Oh, man, you'll never guess who I think I just saw." Brian said. Nick still looked confused. "I really have no clue. Who?" Howie asked as Kevin arrived with AJ and the rest of security. The elevator doors opened and they all stepped in. "Remember McDonalds, D. When we were leavin'?" Brian asked. "Yeah, what about it?" Howie replied. "The girls? In the car?" Brian said trying to refresh his friends memory. "What? You saw them?" Kevin asked. "I think so. The one in the blue dress was kinda flirting with me. The one in the yellow dress was diggin' through her purse I think. They were on the elevator going down. I saw a security pass in their hands..." Brian was saying "Oh, then they are either staying on your floor or the floor below yours." The security official stated. "Anyway, the one with the blue dress, I think she recognized me. Or, err, she remembered me from McDonald's." Brian explained to his friends. Brian was still confused himself. "I think you're seeing things, B." Kevin said. "Nah, man, I really do think I just saw them." Brian argued. "Yeah, man, I was with him. They were cute but the one in the blue dress was definitely flirting with Brian." Nick said backing up his friends story. "Told you." Howie said with a smile on his face. "Told me?" Brian asked looking more confused as they arrived on their floor. "Yeah, I told you. She was checking *you* out when we were in line at McDonald's." Howie stated as he showed the security guard his pass. "Oh." Brian said, "Then again, she could have been checking both of us out." Brian finished. "Frick, you've been acting really weird today." Nick noted. "I haven't played a video game all day, man. That's my problem." Brian said as he jumped in the air onto Kevin's back. "Hey big bro, how's the view from up here?" Brian said jokingly. "Ok, he's fine." AJ confirmed.

"What is up with you? You've got the corniest smile on your face." Eve said to her friend. "Nada! I just think I saw something that would make both of our, well, at least *my* week better, if not, just the weekend." Breanna said while looking at her feet. "Girl, what is it? Don't make me beat it out of you. What was so special with that guy?" Eve asked impatiently. "Well, there were two guys..." Breanna started. "No shit, shirlock. I saw *that*. I just didn't pay attention to who they were." Eve stated. "Well, let me finish. One of them, the tall blonde one, attempted to walk into the elevator but the shorter one pulled him back." "I was too busy looking into my bag. I didn't really notice what was going on." "Yeah I know. Anyway, the shorter one was, I think, the same guy who was walking with *my* guy at McDonald's." Breanna finished. "Girl, you ok?" Eve asked as she put her hand to her friends forehead. Breanna pushed it away. "I'm fine. Anyway, I think it was. He looked at me in shock. His mouth dropped open and he couldn't think of what to say." Breanna explained. "Ohh!!" Eve exclaimed. "No wonder you told him you were going *ahem* down." Eve said slyly. Breanna elbowed her as the elevator opened up to the lobby. "No, I told him that because he wanted to go up. Anyway, I wouldn't have gone down on him. It was his friend I wanted." Breanna said but when she turned around, the hotel manager was standing behind her. "Open mouth, insert foot." Breanna said as she and Eve turned quickly around to walk towards the hotel restaurant. "These are going to be interesting guests." The manager noted to himself.
