LEGIO VI

MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

Legio VI is always looking for new members.  But with that said membership in the Legion is not for everyone.  We are committed to portraying the Legion as accurately as possible within reason.  Membership takes a level of commitment measurably higher then that of the ordinary living history unit.  New members must be sponsored by a member of the unit and serve as an Auxiliary member for a period of three to six months.  This is to give both the prospective member and the Legion a chance to evaluate each other before making a serious commitment.

Once a prospect has shown his commitment to the Legion by completing his probationary period, he may petition the Legion Headquarters for full membership.  His petition must be approved by his Centurion and at least two members of his prospective century.   He must also at this time apply for citizenship in Nova Roma.  All members must be recognized members of Nova Roma as this is our Government system.  This membership also will provide members with the opportunity to serve the Empire in other capacities such as Senators, Consuls, etc.. Should they desire.  This may seem a bit extensive, but an Army without a solid foundation in it's government is nothing more then a MOB.  We are soldiers not mercenaries.

Each Member of Legio VI must declare a century they wish to belong to before they may petition the Headquarters for full membership.  A prospective member must have the appropriate equipment for the Century selected within 1 year of becoming a full member of the Legion.  Below is a list of minimum equipment a member must have:
