5-15 to 5-19, my oh my how the time flies when one is having fun. Since a good amount of time has gone by, I'm going to do short paragraphs highlighting the key events of the last few days (due to how busy I am . . . right now and always), and I will talk about the most interesting experiences. First of all, the 15th of May was my birthday. Sweet 16, Yeah Baby! It was a totally awesome day. The first thing that happened on campus was me walking up to my circle of morning friends, and all of their heads turning and gasping at my shaved face. People gave me a ton of complements, told me I look great, and agreed it was good to leave my mustache unscathed. Overall, it was pretty funny - two of my guy friends called me sexy and kissed my cheek simultaneously. It's those funny things that I'll always remember. For my private birthday evening, my mom let me have Merlin and Liz come over and eat dinner and stay for the evening. We had "Taco Grande", which as many of you may know from previous experience eating here is a night where you come, and all the ingredients for a great taco are placed out on a table in front of you. Though the ingredients are there, the tortillas done, etcetera etcetera, you must construct your own taco. If you don't like the taco, it's your own fault - you made it! It's really good, and really fun! we went up to the school and played basketball until around 9:00. A lot of really funny things happened: first of all we played basketball against some really short people (Team Sexy domination!). Liz doesn't like kissing much in public, and I'm not a huge fan of it either, so she showed me attention in other ways that I still found romantic, like holding my hand and such. It was fun nonetheless. (We obviously kissed later, in my room). We told a bunch of fun jokes, and then noticed that as soon as the sun went down it was mysteriously extremely dark. I realized the next day that it was because there was a full lunar eclipse - the moon wasn't visible for the first time in three years. The 16th was also a "sweet 16". It was a Friday night, so I was able to go dancing in the evening, which was good because the math test I took was very hard - I didn't finish it - I'm almost positive I failed it, and it was all around just stressful. The chemistry test rocked. Furthermore, the night went on, and it was totally awesome. I had my first Lindy-Hop lesson, which was fun but very complicated. For the last few days I've been trying to practice the steps as much as possible because it's a difficult dance. On top of that, I applied for a Jitterbug scholarship, which I believe I have a chance at getting. I'm also applying to be a member of the Sonoma Country Jitterbug Society. It should be a ton of fun! The night only got better though - after struggling with the Lindy Hop, we danced for awhile, then I was surprised to realize someone had submitted my birthday to David and Cirkl, and I was sent out into the middle of the floor. David played with me for awhile, asked me a few questions: the song I wanted to dance to for my birthday, etc. Of course, I asked for The Pink Panther, but he started out by playing "Sweet 16". I danced with almost all of my follow friends - with the exception of Amy, Liz, Lila, Jessica, Sara, and Amanda - whom sadly happen to be some of my favorites. I did however, get a chance to dance with almost all of my El Molino friends, which made it worthwhile. On the 17th, many good things happened as well. My knee was really killing me all week, which was something I forgot to mention, however I was scheduled to run the mile and the two-mile at the SCL Championships. (Sonoma County League for Track). I ran a 5:14 mile, my personal best, and exceeding my season's goal. My mom told me it looked like I was, "flying" as I was running. I felt very accomplished, but I also felt sick to my stomach because I ate eggs to late in the morning. I didn't run the two-mile as much as I wanted to because I was afraid of permenantly injuring myself. After the meet, my mom drove me over to see my Grandma, which took over an hour, but it was nice to see her. I hadn't had a chance to visit with her in awhile, and it was nice to play catch-up and see her mental status, etc. That evening, Liz called and invited me to go bowling. I'm not a fan of bowling, but nonetheless I accepted the offer. Before bowling, I slept, and actually didn't wake up until Liz arrived at my house and pulled on my arm. It was kind of cute. We went bowling (we being: Me, Liz, Nick, Amanda), had a great time (in my opinon), and then Liz drove me over to her house to pick up my watch which she'd accidently taken from me on the night of my Birthday, and then she drove me to her old house (to show me the architecture), and then we drove back to my house. My parents didn't know she was coming over, and since they were asleep and I want to keep their trust we were responsible about it and she didn't stay the night. I think we went the farthest we've ever gone that night though - definitely fun for me, and definitely fun for her (just judging by her reactions). We made out for a long time, talked for a long time, and had a great time listening to music. I really click with her on a lot of levels it seems, and I know I'm developing deeper feelings for her. I just want to make sure they aren't superficial feelings, because since I don't know a lot about these sort of emotions, I have to question myself and my actions before just thrusting myself into them. The 18th was my brother's birthday, but I didn't get a chance to wish him Happy Birthday myself because as of 9:00 in the morning (which I would have happily slept past, since Liz was over till about 3:30A.M.), I was attending a leadership workshop in San Ramon. The goal of this workshop is to inspire, advise, humor, and educate future and continuing leadership. This workship continued through the 19th, but since I've just received over twelve hours of lecturing, I'm a bit burned out on the subject of school leadership. I will happily share ideas with you in person or on here if you're interested, and I'm sure I'll continue updating this journal with events that I'm doing as the ASB Vice President. That just about settles the last few days of my life. I'm very tired, but I still have a lot of things I want to do. I tried calling some friends ahead of time for homework so I don't end up going to class tomorrow unprepared on all of my subjects. However, since it was a Monday I don't think that they're be anything besides Math and a little bit of Chemistry as it is. I just realized I haven't yet turned in my Chemistry notebook, because it was due today. That's really bad, I need to get that taken care of immediately. Take care all.
