Affiliate groups are run by Jewish Groups, but they are not full members of the set.
This is an ongoing project. I've been running these groups since late 1997, and many people who need Jewish information already know about its existence. I've been spending about 70 hours per week on the project. However, I can't expand it any more (and it desperately requires expansion) because there aren't enough hours in the week. I also have difficulty maintaining it at its present level because of monetary limitations. Thus, funding is urgently required.
There are now various options:
The groups may be commercialized by setting up an international legal entity.
They may be run as a non-profit organization with tax benefits in various countries (such as American 501(c)3 status).
The funding will determine the expansion and development of the groups, but it will not determine their continued existence. The groups will continue as they are now even if there is no funding. I will not abandon my commitment to world Jewry.
However, the project is too important to allow it to remain at the current level.
Surprisingly, the least important need for these groups is publicity. True, we are happy to have them grow, and we will be happy if you let others know about them. However, our list of priorities does include other issues that take precedence.
These groups have experts in all of these fields of knowledge, so that any information that is not available directly on any related websites or links is available from the knowledgeable participants. However, funding will make it possible to create a more respectable technical background and thus attract more experts.
The groups require an expert in computerization.
The groups require an American fundraiser. That person must meet several requirements:
The groups also require an individual to set up a legal non-profit entity.
The groups require a suitable trainee to replace the current owner after he retires. It is highly unlikely that anybody else will replace the owner on a voluntary basis, so it is important to lay the groundwork for a paid replacement at this time.
