Here is a little (Ling: And we do mean little!) list of merchandise the three of us put together to help all of you fans out there with your shrines to us! :::All three of them grin:::

This list isn't complete and we'd like to think that there is more to put on it than is here right now, so if you've seen something that features us that is not on this list, let our friends An-Yi and Lien know!

Note: All prices are what we or others have paid for the merchandise or have priced in a store. They are likely to vary from store to store.

The Number One, MUST have Gang of Three thing is.... The Mulan Video!! It can now be pre-ordered through the Disney Catalog and shipped right to your door on the 2nd of Feburary along with an adorable lithograph and a beautiful book with water color pictures. Figurines/Action Figures


  • Mattel's Ling, Yao, and Chien Po Action Figures ~ Ling and Yao come packaged together with a bo, sword, and wooden block that Yao "chops" in two. Chien-Po is packaged seperate and comes with a bucket to wear on his head and a spear-like weapon. These guys are really cute and look just like the characters! They can be found nearly anywhere that sells toys. There is a picture of Ling and Yao here and Chien-Po here! $4.95 per packaged figure(s).

  • McDonald's Happy Meal Gang of Three Toy ~ The Gang was #8 in McDonald's recent Mulan Promotion. The toy is very cute, even if Ling's eyes tend to make him look possessed! It has Ling riding on Chien-Po's shoulders and they drag Yao along behind them as if he's water-skiing. ;-) The promotion is over, but they should still be extremly easy to obtain from e-bay auction web or a thrift shop. Price will vary.



    • Books


  • The Art of Mulan ~ This gorgeous book is every bit as nice as the other "Art of" books Disney has released. There is a whole section devoted to the development and animation of the guys as well as some great pictures of them. It is an absolutly beautiful book, I read quite a bit of it at Barnes and Noble the other day. Like all the books in this section, it can bought at any good bookstore, but it will probably put quite a dent in your pocketbook since it's current price tag is $60. I still haven't been able to get it yet.

  • The Collector's Edition Mulan Story Book ~ This one has several excellent stills of the guys as well as some behind the scenes stuff in the back, including a storyboard of "I'll Make a Man Out Of You". $13.95

  • Disney's Mulan: Junior Novelization ~ This tells the story nearly word for word from the movie, excluding the skinny-dipping scene. There is also a great still of the guys in drag! $3.95

  • Mulan Classic Storybook ~ This is the large picture book that is released with every Disney Movie. This one is one of the nicest I've seen though. The drawings are nicely done and actually look like the characters. The gang are in quite a few of them. $6.95

  • Various Mulan Children's Storybooks ~ There are three or four of these and they all tell the Mulan story in shortened form with pictures. All of them have at least one picture of the guys. However, they're not always drawn that decently. I remember seeing one where Yao looked rather like a fish in one drawing... Anywhere from $2.99 to $6.99.

  • The Two Mulan Coloring Books ~ These are great! The guys are in them a lot, not to mention you have some good pictures of all the characters to color! There are a few that just scream at you, "color me!", like the one of Ling in drag in his scrapbook. $2.95 each.

  • The Mulan Read Along and Sing Along Special Edition Set ~ This is *really* nice! It comes with a tape that is the typical read-along type with Grandma Fa narrating and all the original voices from the movie. The thing I *love* about this is the beautiful hard back book that comes with it that has gorgeous movie stills in it, including a few of the gang I *really* wanted. :D I got it at Waldenbooks, but I imagine it should be avalible anywhere. $13.95

  • Mushu's Story: This is a cute little book in the Disney "Chapters" series that tells the story from Mushu's POV. All the pictures are stills from the movie, even if their quality isn't great. Some of the stills are just too cute to pass up! $3.95



    • Miscellaneous


  • The Gang of Three Puzzle ~ A really cute 24 piece kiddie puzzle that has the gang, Mulan, Shang, and Chi-Fu on it. You can see a picture of the completed puzzle here! I found mine at Publix grocery store of all places along with several other cute Mulan puzzles. Somehow though, I don't think Shang would sit there and grin while Ling and Yao were slacking off like that! ;-) $1.99

  • Mulan Sing-Along Video: Honor To Us All ~ This video is scheduled to be released July 28th and will feature "Honor To Us All" and "I'll Make A Man Out Of you"! I can't wait for it to come out! Also on there are songs from Simba's Pride and Journey to the New World. Probably $9.95 or there about.

  • Mulan Original Motion Picture Soundtrack ~ Obviously, this is the soundtrack from the movie and features both of the songs the guys sing. In the CD booklet, there's even a little picture of the gang next to the lyrics to, "A Girl Worth Fighting For.". However, this ST is rather disappointing after seeing the movie since it doesn't have most of the beautiful score on it. My biggest complaints are the awesome music that plays while Mulan is preparing to leave home and the reprise of "I'll Make A Man Out Of You" when the guys are in drag. Anywhere from $12.99 to $17.99 depending on the store you go to. I recommend the on-line Music Blvd.

  • Mulan Animated Storybook ~ Disney's most elaborate and *expensive* computer animated storybook to date. It's fantastic! It features an entire section at the camp with the guys, not to mention that infamous Mahjong Game... ;-) All the original voice actors do the voices in it. :-) To see a picture from it, look here! $35.00-$40.00

  • International Mulan Poster ~ This poster features a large picture of Mulan in armor with several movie stills in the background. Two of these feature the guys in them! You can see several great pictures of it here!$15-$30

  • Special Edition Mulan Lithograph, "Friends and Foes" ~ This beautiful lithograph is a very rare limited edition. The only place I know of where it is avalible is e-Bay, so I cannot list a price for it. I'm hoping that maybe, just maybe, this will be the litho they give out when the video comes up for pre-order. Yeah, I know, wishful thinking... Anyhow, you can see a picture of it here!



  • ***NEW!!*** McDonald's and Disney have released a brand new set of Happy Meal Toys for the video release of Mulan in just a few days!!!! :-D Among them are Ling, Yao, and Chien-Po!!! This time though, they each get their own seperate toy instead of all being together! They are each little tops that you can spin around. They actually look like the characters as well. Let's hear it for Happy Meal Toys!! The rest of the set includes Mulan with a Cri-Kee pole that you can make her "throw". Shang with a rocket that he "shoots", Khan, who is a top like the Gang of Three, The Great Stone Dragon with Mushu squished against his gong which "shoots", and Shan-Yu who's Falcon "swoops off his arm." I think Shan-Yu is the neatest of the shooting toys while Ling is the cutest of the tops, of course. ;-) Go check your local McD's today! $1.99 a figure with McDonald's imitation food, $1.00 if you buy them seperate.

    Chien-Po: That's all there is so far.

    Ling: Sad really... you would think someone would realize how popular I... I mean we are and at least give us our own 12 inch fashion dolls!

    Yao: Yeah! And we should get beanies too! If that big-mouthed lizard who thinks he's a dragon can have two different beanies, then we should too!

    All: Yeah!
