"Um, Emily? Not to be rude, but it's five am. What are you doing here?" Kento had gotten up for a snack and found Emily sitting in a slumped position at Mia's kitchen table. Emily didn't answer. Kento got suspicious. "Emily?" No answer. He walked up to her cautiously. "Em-ily?" No answer. Looking closer, Kento realized that Emily was asleep. "How in the world did she get here when
she's asleep?" he muttered to himself. "Emily? Wake up. Emily? EMILY!!!" he finally yelled with a voice that seemed to shake the whole house. Everyone else came BOLTING down the stairs. Emily slept soundly.
"What's wrong?" "Who got murdered?" "Where's the fire?" These were asked before Mia asked the question that was actually IMPORTANT. "What is Emily doing here?" "And why isn't she awake?" added Cye. "Emily once told me that she slept through a tornado. Her father had to carry her down to the cellar because she wouldn't wake up. I think that may be why she's still asleep. As to why she's here, I have no idea." Rowen answered. "M-maybe," said a shaky voice out of nowhere, "Maybe it's because I'm here."
All the Ronins spun around. Standing there was a girl who looked terrified at what she saw in front of her. "I-I'm Cali..." she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "I was wishing on my lucky star last night and when I closed my eyes I was here. I'm not dreaming, am I?" "No, I'm afraid not." Ryo looked worried. "If only we could find The Ancient..." he muttered. He was too busy thinking to notice Kento making eyes at Cali. Cali smiled back. Just then, The Ancient appeared. "I knew this would happen..." he said. "Drink this." he handed Cali a small bottle identical to the one that he had given Emily just a few weeks before. Cali looked at it uneasily. Then she gulped it down all at once. She made a face. "Blek! That was terrible! What did it do?" "It will make it so that you can control when you come here. Come over here, I will explain to you what I can." The Ancient and Cali stepped away. The Ronins began to talk amongst themselves.
"ANOTHER ONE!!!" exclaimed Sage. "Man Rowen, how far did you GO when you where out in space?!" Rowen just shrugged. "No idea. Maybe we should wake Emily up," he looked thoughtful. "She might be able to explain some stuff." "Um, Ro, dude, been there, done that! Remember?! That's the reason you guys are awake right now!!! The girl slept through a tornado!!" "Maybe we should try something else..." Rowen looked thoughtful again. He walked up to her and tapped her on the top of the head. "Em? Emily, wake up, wake up, Emily..." Kento gasped and Cye burst out laughing as Emily stirred and opened her eyes. "What happened?" she asked. "How did I get here?" "We're not completely sure yet either," Ryo said, "but you seem to have brought a
friend. Cali." "Cali? I don't know anybody named Cali." "Another Rowen-Wisher," explained Sage. "Oh." Emily looked a little disappointed. "Don't worry," Rowen said with a reassuring hug," "You're still our special girl!"
Cali and The Ancient finally came back. "Cali will be another guest of yours." The Ancient said. "Treat her with the same respect you treat Emily with." And with that he disappeared.
Everyone just stood around for a while, not sure what to say. Finally Mia spoke up. "So, The Ancient explained everything to you?" Cali nodded, wide-eyed. "Um, who wants to show Cali around?" asked Ryo. "I mean, no offense Cali, but it IS six in the morning..." "SIX?! Already?!" Kento cried. "Why, it's practically lunch time!!! I'll take Cali around!!" he grabbed her hand and led her outside. "KENTO?! AWAKE AT SIX IN THE MORNING?! WHAT'S GOTTEN INTO HIM????!!!!" "Kento never led ME around..." Emily quietly pouted. But Sage had overheard her. He grinned and whispered into her ear "That's because ROWEN was busy showing you around, remember?"
Kento and Cali were outside walking. Suddenly, Cali began to flicker. "Oh no! Why are you going back?! All you have to do is keep your eyes closed!!!" But Cali couldn't stop. Suddenly, she disappeared altogether. Kento stood staring at the spot where she'd been only a moment before. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" he howled. Suddenly, Cali was back. "CALI!!" Kento hugged her hard. But suddenly, she disappeared again...
"KENTO!!!! WAKE UP MAN!!!!!" Kento blinked. "What the...? Where's Cali??!!!" "Cali? Who's Cali?" Ryo looked down at him concerned. Focusing his eyes, Kento realized that he was lying in bed. Ryo, Cye,Sage, Rowen, Mia, and Yuli stood above him, looking scared but relieved. "What happened?" he groaned. "Where's Cali?" "Kento listen. We heard you screaming at the top of your lungs and we came running. When we came in, you were yelling something about Cali and screaming 'NOOOOO!!!'. We woke you up because we thought you were having a nightmare." "So...so there's no Cali?" Cye shook his head. "Sorry buddy, there's no Cali." Kento looked sad. "Well then, if Cali's a figment of my imagination, I'll just have to go back to sleep and see her again!"
