EPISODE PLOT

In the previous episode, Z'Ha'Dum, Captain Sheridan placed thermonuclear bombs in the White Star and programmed it to crash into the capital city of the planet. At the last moment, the voice of Kosh ordered Sheridan to jump. Sheridan did so, leaping into a huge chasm, which s 2 miles deep. The thermonuclear blast of about 1000 megatons completely obliterated the city. It also killed Anna Sheridan. Mr. Morden, however, survived the blast but sustained substantial injuries.

Londo Mollari, having been relocated back to Centauri Prime, reports in to Emperor Cartagia. Cartagia, young and conceited, informs Mollari that he struck a deal with the Shadows. Cartagia permitted the Shadows to use Centauri Prime as a base of operations, and in return the Shadows promised godhood to him. Londo, very unhappy with the situation, asks Vir to come to Centauri Prime, to help assassinate Cartagia.

The fragile alliance, believing that the war is at least temporarily over, recall their ships back to their respective homeworlds. Delenn, Ivanova and G'Kar unsuccessfully attempt to keep the alliance together.

Citizen G'Kar, feeling he owes his life to Security Chief Garibaldi, sets out to find him.

Ambassador Delenn, Lennier, Commander Ivanova, and Lyta Alexander set out in a White Star class ship to Z'Ha'Dum with the hope that they will be able to locate Sheridan. Lyta explains to Ivanova that if they are close enough, she can sense Captain Sheridan telepathically. When they arrive at Z'Ha'Dum, they are unable to locate Sheridan, and a HUGE Shadow shows up...driving the White Star back into hyperspace and away from Z'Ha'Dum. Ivanova, now feeling that Captain Sheridan is dead, attempts to force herself to put his death behind her and continue his work.
