Synopsis

Note: This synopsis came from Time-Warner's official Babylon 5 page.

Londo has a surprise for Vir when he introduces him to Lyndisty, a Centauri woman and recent arrival to Babylon 5. Londo explains that through a prearranged agreement between Vir's uncle and mother, Lyndisty is to be Vir's wife, much to his surprise.

Zack alerts Ivanova about an unusually large influx of Narns coming to Babylon 5. Ivanova isn't suspicious until she discovers that they were all approved through Vir's office on Minbar. When she confronts Vir, he claims that the transfer of Narns is actually part of a work program. Without authority to approve such transfers, he forged a fake identity to ensure their relocation.

Meanwhile, Sheridan asks Delenn out on a date, and she graciously accepts. As the two enjoy a romantic dinner at his quarters, they are interrupted by news from security of an assault in progress. When Sheridan arrives, he finds Vir struggling with a Narn armed with a knife. Sheridan joins in the fight, and subdues the Narn long enough for Zack to arrive. The Narn still manages to charge, and security guards intervene and shoot the attacker.

Ivanova confronts Londo, who confesses to knowing nothing of Vir's actions. When Ivanova approaches Vir, he finally confesses the truth: those relocated were mostly females and children injured when the Centauri bombed their world. Since they weren't receiving proper medical treatment, he had them transferred to other worlds to get them proper care. When they were healthy, Vir filtered them back to several places, including Babylon 5.

Later, Lyndisty brings Vir to her quarters for a surprise. What he discovers are the two Narns lying hurt on the floor, one of them being his assailant. Lyndisty confesses that they were actually intending to harm her, not Vir, since she took part in the pacification of many Narn populations following the war. These two had escaped and were looking to kill her. Lyndisty asks Vir to finish them off as a testimony to their marriage, but he refuses.

Londo ends Vir's tenure as the Centauri liaison to Minbar, and informs Vir that the marriage with Lyndisty has been put on hold as a result of the recent developments. Lyndisty leaves Babylon 5, but expresses that she will continue to wait for him. Vir, however, knows that their beliefs are far too different to overcome.

Unbeknownst to Londo, Ivanova keeps Vir's fake identity at the Centauri Relocation Bureau so that he can continue to keep issuing travel papers to those Narns in need of help.
