"Wh-wh-what's going on...?" BJ said, shaking her head. "BJ! You're okay, oh thank you God..." said Nick. He took his sister in his arms and held her. We all stood up, except Nick and BJ. Brian and AJ came running back down the steps. "The ambulance is on it's way. BJ! You're okay! How did she-" Brian said. "Sarah gave her CPR...she-she saved her life..." said Nick, down on the ground, and looked up at me. "You know CPR?" asked AJ. "Yeah, well, I used to be a lifeguard... it was the only thing I could think to do," I said. I felt tears building up in my eyes. Brian and AJ gave me a hug. "You saved her life. Thank you..." they said.
"Hey, it's okay," I said. I leaned down to take a look at BJ. "BJ? Are you okay?" I asked her, as she lay in Nick's arms. "Yeah, but my head and chest hurt..." she said. She sounded like a little child. "Just stay there, don't move," I said and stood up. "She might still have some water left in her lungs. She better stay there until the ambulance gets here." I walked over to Dawn and Leslie, who were off to the side, crying. "It's alright guys, she's gonna be okay," I said, sobbing myself. "I can't believe you did that Sarah. You saved her life," Dawn said. They both gave me a hug and we all cried tears of joy and fright at the same time. By that time the ambulance had arrived and the paramedics were putting BJ on a stretcher. I walked over to them. "Nick, you better go with BJ to the hospital. We'll call your mom and tell her what happened," I said. He too was crying. He gave me a hug. "Thank you so much. You saved her life, I don't know how to thank you," he said. "It's okay, now you better go or they'll leave without you." "Okay. Thank you." He ran off and followed the paramedics. The rest of us, still kind of in shock of what had just happened, got our stuff and went inside.
