Nanna told Nick to look after Kayla and make sure she's in bed. "Nanna? I was wondering if I can get Kayla out of here for a few days." Nick asked for her permission. "I also want to spend some time with her. I'll be great for her." "Yeah...I agree, but make sure you take care of her. Okay?" Nanna pinched Nick's cheek. "Owwww.. howcome you always do that!" Nick laughed. "It's been a long time since I did that to you." They both laughed. Remembering the time when Nick was at the house hanging out with Kayla. Nick went upstairs and found Kayla in a bath robe. "Sorry! i didn't mean to! I'm sorry!" He said quickly and turned around and closed his eyes tight. "It's not like you meant to." She said. He looked at her. "It's really great to see some color in you. You look beautiful." Nick said and came closer to her to kiss her. "You smell great too!" He said with a smile. "Hey, I have good news! Nanna agreed to let me take you to Tampa! I just can't wait to show you my family and Aaron! He's gonna love you!" He said excitedly. "So, I'll come by and pick you up tomorrow?" "Yeah...that would be just fine," Kayla climb into bed and Nick pulled a sheet over her. he sat down next to her. "You know, I really want to know what's on your mind, and what you're thinking. You have nothing to be scare of me." He said holding her hands. "I know." Kayla said with a whisper. "I don't want to see you so miserable, I want to make you happy and protect you, and not let anything like that to happen to you again. I love you Kay. I really do. And I want to marry you someday. That is, when I'm older and more mature." Nick sat there and talked to her. He didn't realize that she had fallen asleep. "Kay?" He said and smiled. "Goodnight Kay." He gave her a kiss on the forehead and left.
"Nanna! I'm leaving. I'll be back to pick her up tomorrow." He said, stepping out of the door. "Okay, Sweetie, get some rest." She closed the door behind him. Nick drove back to the apartment and was greeted by Brok. "Hey! Did everything go okay?" He asked. Kevin and AJ was on the couches watching TV. Howie was in the shower. "Oh Man! You have no idea what I've been through today! But everything turned out perfect! He said and hugged Brian. "Alright!" Brian was excited for him. Howie stepped out of teh restroom in shorts and a T-shirt with a towel over him. He saw Nick and Brian hugging. "Umm...Kev?...Bone?...Please tell me Brok and Nick's okay." He said looking at the two strangely. "Cuz, they're scaring me." Everyone started to laugh and talk for awhile. "That's a great think you did today." Kevin told Nick. "Yeah....But you did make her feel bad about being you know...." AJ told him. "I know and that won't happen again." Nick said. "Brian?...Thanks for being there. You really helped. "Hey, anytime Buddy!" Brian answered him. "Jesus...I've never been through all that when I was eighteen!" Howie said. "Yeah! Cuz or little Nicky here is toooo cute!" Kevin said with a laugh. Nick blushed. "Awwww...." The other guys all said at once. "So how did it feel the first time?" AJ asked him, laughing. "Hey, now that's way too personal to share with you guys....I'm not talking to you guys about this. I'm going to sleep." Nick said and his face got redder.
The guys all laughed and Nick went into the room. Nick knocked on the door to Kayla's house. Kayla opened the door and greeted him. "Hey, you're pretty early." "Are you ready?" Nick asked. "Yeah! I have two duffle bags. You mind helping me?" She said handing him a bag. Nick and Kayla waved to Nanna and Kayla's Grandpa. "Have fun Sweetie!" Nanna called out from the doorsteps. It takes about 2 to 3 hours to get to Nick's house, so he decided to talk to Kayla on the way. They were driving and Kayla suddenly said. "Nick?...My answer is yes..." "Huh? I'm sorry, I don't understand." He said. "I heard you last night...and... yes...I would marry you someday." Nick looked at her and smiled. "You did? Oh, no...this is so embarassing!" He said. Kayla laughed and lean over to give him a kiss on the cheek. Through the whole ride, Nick and Kayla lauged and talk. Nick told her jokes and made her laugh. Nick and Kayla rung the door bell to the Carter's house. They were greeted by a little blonde boy that looks like a younger version of Nick. "Hey Big A! So, how's it going!" Nick said and gave him a hug. "Nick! You're home! BJ! Leslie! Angel! Nick's home!" Aaron yelled. "Hey, Aaron! Say hi to Kayla, my girlfriend." Nick introduced them. "Hi!" Kayla said and smile. "Oh, hello!" He said, studying Kayla. "You're really pretty!" "And you're cute!" She kneeled down and gave him a kiss on the cheek. They went in and greeted everyone else. "It's really nice to meet you Mr. and Mrs. Carter." Kayla said politely. "Nice to meet you too Honey! Why don't you settle her down Nicky, and get ready for dinner" Mrs. Carter said.
Nick went to put Kayla's stuff away and then came back and ate dinner. After dinner, Nick took Kayla to the back where Kayla noticed there was a lake. "Hey, where are we going?" Kayla asked. "Oh! When I come home, I stay on my boat. You don't mind do you?" Nick explained. "No...as long as I'm with you." She said, taking his hand and giving it a little squeeze. Nick put his arm around Kayla. "This boat is really nice." Kayla said and Nick helped her up. "Yeah, it has a nice view at night." Nick pointed to the top of the boat. He showed her around the boat. It has a T.V. set and some couches. Inside, it has a roomy bedroom and the restroom. There was also a little neat clean kitchen with the fridge. And at the top there were lounge chairs so you can sun bathe. Kayla thought it was like their own house. "Here you go, the bedroom! You stay here and I'll stay on teh couch." Nick said and was about to leave. "Nick? Please don't leave. I don't want to stay in here alone." She said holdind on to his hand, and looking scare. "What's wrong?" "It's your sisters, I don't think they like me." "Who? BJ and Leslies?" Kayla walked over to the bed and sat down. "Just ignore them, they're always like that. They act like this because it's the first time I bring home a girlfriend." Nick said trying to comfort her. "Don't worry, alright?" Nick gave her a kiss.
Nick put Kayla to sleep and went outside the room. Nick sensed that Kayla wasn't happy. he couldn't sleep so he called Brian but he wasn't home...nobody was. Nick slept on the couch that night. But what he didn't know was that he wasn't the only one that couldn't sleep. There was Kayla. Kayla cried that night.
