Nick washed up and went to the top of the boat and spot Kayla. He saw Kayla running down the beach and a man approached her. He immediately heads toward the beach. He ran up to Kayla and a man in his thirties. "Hey, can I help you?" Nick asked immediately as he tries to catch his breath. "Yeah, you have a beautiful girlfriend. She has quite a special feature. I was talking to her about modeling and she wasn't sure. Why don't you talk to her," he handed Nick a business card. Nick took a look at it and stared at Kayla. "Wow.. you are beautiful," Nick teased her. Kayla laughed and hit him in the arm. "Hey! What's that suppose to mean? Wasn't I beautiful the other night?" The man and Nick both laughed. "Hey, I recognize you. You're a Backstreet Boys aren't you?" the man asked. Nick smiled and nodded. "Well, I work with a lot of designers and magazines, I'm not going to guarantee that you're going to get chosen, so you should go and tryout. Just give me a call and I'll make the arrangements, cuz a girl like you shouldn't be wasted. Okay, I'll leave you two alone. Have a nice day," he said and started jogging away.
Nick and Kayla started walking slowly. "Hey, I was just joking. I always knew you were beautiful," Nick said with a smile, "wow, so what do you think?" "I don't know. I never thought this will happen to me. I don't think I have that face to be a model. Have you ever see Kate Moss and Cindy Crawford? Wow.. they're skinny and beautiful!" Kayla said. "Yeah.. I did, and they're not that pretty," Nick said and took her hand and the two continue to walk. "How much do you weight anyways?" "What!!" she started laughing. "Why don't you tell me?" she said and climbed on his back and he started to run. "No way! You're gonna break my back! Catch me if you want a piggy ride! Ha ha!" he started running faster and Kayla ran after him. Nick and Kayla came back to the boat and Kayla decided to call Trisha. "Hey Trish? Guess what?" Kayla was excited. "I'm gonna be a model!" "You what?" Trisha asked. "Wow, you're so lucky!" "But I don't know if I should." "Why not? You got the perfect smile, that thin body of yours, and I was always jealous of your hieght and your stupid long legs!" Trisha said trying to convince Kayla. "So, do you think I should go for it?" "Yeah girl!" "Okay then.. cool...okay.. I'll see you tomorrow," Kayla hung up the phone. Then she called the number on the business card and left her name and Nick's cell phone number.
"Okay, all set.. I hope they like me!" Kayla said turning over to Nick. "Trust me.. you're perfect! Has anybody tell you that you look like Cameron Diaz?" Nick said with a smile. "No.. and stop teasing me!" Kayla said smiling and grabbing a bottle of water out of the fridge. "No. I really mean it. I can picture you walking down the Donna Karen runway," he said and smiled. "Oh yeah.. and on the cover of YM. You have no idea how beautiful you are." "Oh really? So did you think I was beautiful when I had braces in elementary school? Huh?" she asked him specifically. "I thought you were the cutest metal mouth girl!" Nick said and started to crack up. "What? That was it! I'm going to get you for this!" she started chasing him around the boat.
The phone rang and Kayla picked it up. "Hello? This is Kayla, yeah, he's here.. okay.. really? What happened? Okay, I'll tell him," Kayla said and hung up the phone. "Nick? It was Kevin.. come out, I'm not playing anymore," she called out to him. "Kev called? For what?" Nick said coming in from the outside. "It's Brian.. he's in the hospital. And I think we should be there right now!" she said and started running around to find her stuff. "Why is he in the hospital?" "Kevin said it's about some girl name Rebeckah," Kayla explained. "Becky? What's she doing back? I thought she got married?" "Hey, are you going to stand there all day? We have to get to Brok now and you can find out for yourself," she said stuffing her stuff in the luggage.
Nick and Kayla got in the car and left. They got to the hospital and saw the guys sitting there. "Kev! What's up with all this? You said something about Becky?" NIck said with a worried look. "Will someone tell me who Becky is?" Kayla asked sounding confused. "Becky was Brok's finacee, but she left him the day before the wedding. It took him a while to repair his life, since he has a bad health problem. He just started to date and this has to happen," Kevin explained. Kayla nodded her head and felt sorry for Brian. "So what's she doing back here, and why Brian's in the Emergency Room?" Nick asked. "I heard that some people found him at a nearby park.. he was gasping for air and holding onto his heart. The people said he was argueing with Becky and he got really upset and she walked away," AJ told everyone. "Yeah, hasn't she caused enough troubles?" Howie stood up, sounding mad. "Maybe she had an excuze or something," Kayla said. "Poor Brian, she really broke his heart." "Nick looked at her and put his arm around her. "We'll just have to wait and hear it from Brok," Nick said, starring up at the ceiling.
They waited for 45 minutes and the doctors came out. They ran up to them. "Okay, any family members here?" one of the doctor asked. "Yes, I'm his cousin," Kevin said as he stepped up. "He's all right, just needed some oxygen. But you have to comprimise with him. That means, you guys are not to make him mad and put him in tense situation." Eveyone nodded and headed towards the room. "Hey Frick! You alright?" Nick asked, trying to sound happy. "I saw Becky.. I saw her Nick," Brian said and closed his eyes like he was in pain. Nick looked at Kevin. Kevin shooked his head. "Are you sure Frick? It must have been a dream. I mean, we haven't heard from her for about a year now," Nick said with a smile. "Don't trick me Frack. I know what I saw. It was Becky. I talked to her and I got to go look for her now," Brian tried to get off the bed but was in too much pain. "Did you know that she left you all alone in the park and you were gasping for oxygen? She's not worth it Brok! She doesn't deserve you! And you don't deserve this!" Howie said with a mad look. "I got to ask her why," Brian said softly and fell asleep. "The medicine must have started to work," AJ said. "Well, everyone. I guess we have to leave, so the patient can get some rest," a nurse came in and said. "Don't worry, I'll take good care of him."
They all drove back to the apartment and Kevin went ito his room and called Brian's parents. Howie and AJ decided to go get some food. Nick came in after he showered and found Kayla sleepy and tired on the bed. "Hey, get some rest. Don't worry about Brian. He's gonna be fine okay?" Nick said. He came over to her and laid down next to her. "Kay? WOuld you ever leave me like Becky did to Brian?" Nick asked all of a sudden. Kayla turned around to face him. "You crazy to even ask that! Of course I won't. But I think Becky has her reasons to do that," Kayla said looking at him. "I don't know what to do if you did that to me," Nick said tucking his body under the sheets next to her. "Don't worry," she said and kissed him.
