They went into the car and drove off. "So do yu know where she lives?" Kevin asked. "I was driving and I saw her in front of this house near the park. I think she lives around there," Brian replied while he stared out at the window. "You want me to drop you off?" Kevin asked looking over to Brian. "Yeah.. can you please?" Kevin and Brian drove to the park and Brian got off the car. "You got your phone?" Kevin yelled out from inside the car. "Yeah.. I'll call you later!" Brian said. "Okay!" Kevin drove off. Brian went to the nearest apartment building and check. He saw a security man and asked, "Excuse me, but how can I reach a person that lives in this building?" "You can check on the list over there and dial the number next to the name by using the telecom phone." "Okay, thanks a lot." Brian walked over to the telecom phone and next to it was a list of resident in the building. He started to search for her name. "Rebeckah Kelch.. Kelch.." he mumbled to himself while he ran his fingers down the list. He spotted her name and went straight up to her apartment. Brian knocked on the door and a girl about 21 years old answered the door. She saw Brian and was shocked. "Hi! Wait! Don't close the door on me!" Brian yelled out just as she was going to slam the door. "Look, we have to talk." "There's nothing to talk about Bri, I didn't wanted to marry you!" she said and walked over to her couch.
Brian didn't know what to do but to enter. He walked over to her and started to sound upset. "I don't want to marry you anymore! Not after what you did to me! I just want to know why you did that?" Rebeckah didn't say anything. "What does it feel like to be so cold Becky?" Brian asked her. "Brian, I'm sorry. I broke up with my boyfriend and then I met you.. I just needed soe love so I..I.." she hesitated. "So you what? Used me? How can you be so greedy?" he said. "You can't do this with love, don't you know that?" By this time moment, Rebeckah started to cry. "Please.. understand.. I didn't wnted to hurt you and it would've been a big mistake if I married you." "So it's true that you don't have any feelings for me?" Brian asked and placed his hand on his chest. He can feel his heart ache and took a deep breath. "Brian, you were a great friend. A really nice brother.. you were always there for me when I needed you." "How could you! But I'm not like you, I want you to live happily and I hope you find someone you really love," Brian was about to cry but he left.
As soon as he got out of the building he felt better. He was disappointed but he knew that it wasn't anyone's fault. He was heart broken but he knew that he has to move on. He felt so good, like nothing ever happened. He smiled and started to walk toward the park where Kevin had dropped him off. He felt free and nothing was on his mind. From out of nowhere he heard a woman's voice calling, "Kyle! Kyle! Sweetie!..Oh no! Where could he be?" "Umm Miss? Did you lose something?" Brian asked her. She didn't really noticed Brian until she bumped into him. "Huh? Did I lose what? Oh! I lost my son! Have you seen him? He's about 3, this tall, brown curly hair, blue eyes, really talkative." "Danni? Is that you?" Brian asked with a curious facial expression. "Oh! No way! You're Daniella Sutter from high school? This is great! How's it going?"
"How's it going? Brian Thomas Littrell, I just told you that I lost my son and you have time to ask me how's it going?" "Oh! I'm sorry. you're son? Okay... well, I'll go look for him and I'll meet you back here in 20 minutes alright?" Brian said calmly. Daniella nodded with concerned, she was redy to burst into tears if she doesn't find her son. Brian searched everywhere, even the sandbox. He finally went to the tennis court and saw a little boy sitting down, watching the squirrels. Brian walked over to him and sat down. "Hey you! Your Mommy is looking for you." "Look at dat! Si-quirrels!" he excitedly pointed at the squirrels. "C'mon, I'm gonna take you back to your mommy," Brian picked him up and carried him to Daniella. "There's MOmmy!" the little boy pointed at his mom. "Yeah," Brian laughed. He handed Daniella her son. "Oh! Thank you so much! Thanks Brian," she said and looked at her son. "Kyle! Don't you ever run off like that again! You never do that! You never do that! Never! Okay!" she scolded him. "Okee Mommy!" Kyle said with a baby face. "Thanks again Brian," she turned to look at him. "Hey, no problem. So what should I call you? Mrs?" "Oh! NO! I'm not married! Kyle here is adopted!" she sid with a laugh. "Oh sorry. I forgot how much yoyu love kids. You still have that kind of heart," Brian said. "So how's it going?" "Everything is perfect. Just me and Kyle. I am a nurse, so I work part time and get to spend a lot of time at home with Kyle," she said and gave Kyle a kiss on the cheek. And then Kyle gave her a kiss and and said, "I love you too Mommy." "Hey don't I get a kiss?" Brian asked and gave his cheek to Kyle. Kyle kissed him and said, "Mommy has to kiss you too!" Daniellan and Brian starting laughing. "Okay, come here," Daniella said and Brian leaned closer to her and she kissed him on the cheek.
"Mommy! Kyle hungry," Kyle said rubbing his little tummy. "Okay. We're gonna eat now. Brian, thank you so much. I'd love it if you join us," Daniella suggested. "Yeah! Sure! I'd love to. I'm starving!" he said rubbing his stomach. "Come here Kyle," he took Kyle from Daneilla and put him on his back. "Wheee! This is cool!" Kyle screamed.
They walked to Daniella's car and drove off. They drove to Daniella's condo. "Wow! This is so weird. You only live a block away from me. How come I don't see you around?" "Really? Where do you live?" "Just a block down there. You know, that complex apartment." "That's weird, do you even come home at all?" "Oh, you have a point there. I'm hardly home because we're always on the raod." "Yeah.. I should have known since you joined that music group," she said with a smile. "Kyle loves your music, actually he just loves music ever since I brought him home two years ago." "REally? Just like me!" Brian said helping Kyle get out of the baby seat. "Okay Kyle! Dinner time!" "Yay!" Kyle said running to him mommy. The three went into Daniella's house. They had dinner. Daneilla made Kyle's favorite dish, macaroni and cheese. "Hey! I love macaroni and cheese too!" Brian said and poured more milk for Kyle.
After dinner Daniella put Kyle to bed. "Hey Brian?" Daniella said. Brian was sitting on the couch and she joined him. "If you're gonna thank me agian, I got it," he said with a smile. She laughed. "Danni, you are the sweetest girl that I know. You are my best friend you know. I can't believe that you actually moved from Kentucky to Orlando, Florida and you live right next to me. I never meant to lost touch with you, I'm really sorry." "I can't believe that you rejected me when I asked you to be my prom date." Daniella told him. "What was I thinking! You were beautiful, smart. Not including the part that you were a cheerleader. You were probably the only cheerleader with intelligence," Brian said and they both started to laugh. "I was intimidated by you cuz you were beautiful and nice... you were just too perfect.. I thought you can't be real," he said and looked at her. "Danne, I really fell in love with you and I think it's about to happen again," she leaned over and kissed her. Somehow the kiss went on and on. Daniella finally pulled away and said, "Brian." "Oh!I'm sorry. I think I should leave," Brian said and stood up.
He knew that something was wrong, but he was scared. He wanted to see her again. "I think that's a good idea," she stood up and walked him to the door. "Bye Danni. Tell Kyle I said goodnight and give him a kiss for me," Brian said and gave her a kiss. "Can I call you? Goodnight." "Yeah," she closed the door. Brian walked home and opened the door. He saw Kayla and Nick playing video games. The others were watching them and laughing at the way Nick was being crushed by Kayla. "Yeah Kay! We've been looking for you all this time. You're practically the only one that can beat him!" AJ said and everyone started to laugh. "No you guys. He's just letting me win," Kayla said and laughed. "Yeah! You hear that? I'm just letting her win cuz she's a girl," Nick said with his eyes on the screen, concentrating on his game. Everyone started to crack up. "What are you guys laughing at?" Nick asked. "Hey, where did Brian go? I saw him come in but he's gone now," Kevin said and went around to search for him. "Hey, what's wrong?" Kevin asked. "Oh, nothing," Brian said. "Bad news from Becky? I'm sorry," Kevin said and sat down next to him. "Actually, I'm glad that I went to see her. Cuz I met one of my friend from high school," Brian explained. "I don't get it. So you actually broke up with Becky and met another girl right after?" "Yes! And her name's Danni..Daniella I mean. And she has this kid, Kyle, he's just amazing. He looks exactly like me and he likes everything I like," Brian explained proudly. "You got to be kidding! Is he yours?" Kevin asked, he sounded worried. Brian started laughing and said, "Uh..uh.. I never slept with her. Nope! Yeah..I wish the kid is mine. He's really amazing and smart." "Wow! So things really worked out for you?" Kevin asked. He sounded really calm now. "Yeah, but when I kissed her, she seemed to hesitated and pulled away. I know she likes me but I don't know what happened," Brian explained. "I think you're moving too fast kiddo. You can scare her like that," Kevin said and patted his shoulder. "Yeah. I guess you're right," he said and heard Kayla and Nick laughing from the living room. "Seems like things are working for Nick and Kay too!" Brian said and was about to join them, but Kevin called him back. "That's what I'm afraid of. They've been spending way too much time with each other. She's been sleeping over in his room and I don't know. They're only 18 your know?" Kevin sounded like a father. "I know what you mean, but I think he knows what he's doing. You can't just keep them apart. He's gonna hate you. You're not his dad," Brian said and looked at Kevin. He knew that Kevin was worried about Nick. "I'm just afraid they're gonna make the biggest mistake of their lives," Kevin said and stood up. The two joined the others outside. But Brian and Kevin didn't say a word abut what they talked about.
