"Wow! That was just...so, so, so, so...," I went on and on. Nick held up his hand to my mouth and laughed. I pried it off and went on. "As I was saying, I thought it was so beautiful. I swear, I literally felt my heart melting." Everyone chuckled.
"Why didn't you join us?" asked Howie. I put on a puzzled look.
"What do ya mean?" He shrugged.
"You are a fabulous singer," he looked around. "At least I heard." He grinned at me. I couldn't help but laugh.
"Oh please, you're making me blush." The boys awwwed. I rolled my eyes. Mrs. Carter and Mrs. McLean walked over to us.
"How about we go now? You boys have a show to do tonight," suggested Mrs. McLean.
"Aw, man," pouted AJ. "We wanted to talk a little longer." I playfully punched him on the arm.
"Come on, AJ. We still have a whole month." Kevin joined in.
"Yeah, and we can still talk on the way there, you know?" AJ slapped his forehead and we all laughed.
"Well, DUH AJ. You'll have to excuse him," goofed Brian as he pointed to AJ. "He's a little coo-coo in the head. A little too much bleach and dye in his hair I guess." I covered my mouth and giggled. AJ tried to whack Brian on the head but Brian was quick so he ducked the blow. Brian stuck his tongue out at AJ and ran off. AJ shrugged and ran on after him. I sighed and rolled my eyes.
We started walking off in their direction. Howie was on my right, Nick and Kevin were on my left. I looked over at all of them, but I think I over did it.
"What?" asked Nick. "Do we have like a booger up our nose or something?" I snapped out of the trance and laughed. I quickly shook my head because they were beginning to look worried.
"No, of course not. I was just thinking," I said. Howie smiled.
"About what, my fair lady?" I chuckled.
"I was thinking how lucky I am. It's not everyday I get to walk around with the Backstreet Boys by my side."
"Oh, I see," said Kevin. "You nervous?" I shrugged my shoulders.
"Just a bit. Not nervous like, trembling nervous though." Nick put his arm around my shoulder as we kept walking and watching AJ and Brian fooling around in the distance.
"You have nothing to worry about, Nikki. We're your friends now. And you have no choice but to like us back!" he laughed. I glared at him, trying to laugh.
"I don't think so, Mr. Carter. I don't have to like anyone I don't wanna like. So there." Nick, Kevin, and Howie all chuckled. We were getting closer to Brian and AJ since they stopped running. They were in the middle of the aisle wrestling. Mrs. McLean came running up to us.
"Can you guys go and stop them?" she asked, out of breath. "They're catching the public eye and some girls over there are eyeing them. And I think you boys know what that means!" They're eyes kind of widened but quickly turned their caps way down so no one can see their eyes or nose. I figured what they were thinking. I grinned and said,
"Hey, I'll race ya!" and ran off towards Brian and AJ who were now causing so much commotion everyone was staring. But I don't think they noticed, they were having so much fun. I finally got to the two boys and fell to my knees, totally out of breath.
"Hey..*pant*..guys! Did..*pant*..you..know...everyone..*pant*...is staring?" I saw that they were not paying any attention to me. I got to my feet and put my hands on my hips. My face got stern. I guess you can tell I don't like being ignored.
"Alexander James McLean and Brian Thomas Littrell! You two get off the floor right this minute or I'll...," I yelled. I thought for a minute. What would I do if they don't get off the floor? I glanced over at the two maniacs and saw that they stopped and were staring at me. I grinned ever so slightly and continued.
"...I'll do this!" and grabbed both their ears and pulled them up. They started screaming for me to let go and I just laughed and laughed. The way they looked and sounded, ohmigosh! AJ's head and body were like twisted and Brian was screaming, "letgoletgoletgoletgoletgoletgo!" The "audience" who were still staring started laughing and applauded. I finally let go of the two screaming Backstreet Boys and bowed to the crowd.
"Thank you, it was surely nothing. A great pleasure," I laughed. I looked back at Brian and AJ and laughed again. They were both lying on the floor massaging their ears and head. They looked up at me, and pointed their index finger at me.
"Ooh, you are bad," said AJ with an evil look on his face.
"Ditto," Brian said slyly.
