"Ok, now what's wrong?" They immediately stopped laughing. I glanced at everyone's faces, they were all so serious and stern.
"Hey Nicole...," said Kevin cautiously. He sighed a deep sigh. I shivered a bit.
"Uh oh. You guys don't like me, huh? Oh, that's ok, I mean I knew that you wouldn't. Being 18 years old and still a bit "immature" I guess you can call it. I guess I'll go back home, I belong there...," I babbled on, really dissapointed but trying not to show it. I felt a warm and masculine hand on my shoulder. It was Howie.
"Stop right there, Miss Cartland. Don't go on," he said softly, looking into my eyes. A big smile spread across his face.
"Why?" I asked with my head down.
"Because we love ya!" everyone shouted in unison. I gasped. They all ran over to me and someone screamed,
"GROUP HUG!" I'm pretty sure that was Brian. I was literally squashed! It's not very fun having five big guys try and hug you at the same time, but since they were the Backstreet Boys, and now my friends, it was very cool. I tried to get out of the hug which wasn't a real hug. It was more of a...tackle. I rammed into them, tickled them, but nothing seemed to work! They wouldn't budge!
"GUYS! Let me out! There's no air in here!" I screamed, drowned by my laughing. I couldn't hear much since I was in between all these heavy (but cute!) bodies. But finally, one by one, they got off. Once again, I was lying on the floor but it wasn't that great since it was in the parking lot. I rolled my eyes and jumped up, immediately fixing my hair. Hey, they might be my friends now, but I've only known them for a few minutes! It's not "lady-like" to go around with your hair frizzing all over you now is it? I put my hair into a bun, trying to keep it from falling out.
"How do I look?" I asked, pretending to be a model. They laughed.
"Great!" said Nick cheerfully. "I have a question." I shrugged.
"Shoot."
"Why do girls always care about their looks?" I blushed, yeah, again. All the boys said "awwwww" and slapped Nick in the head and back. He whacked all of them back. "Hey, it's a question!" I laughed.
"Well Nick, I'm not so sure. It's in our blood or something...," I giggled. He crossed his arms across his chest. I held my hands up. "Ok, ok. No need to get fiesty! I think we do that because...uh...er, to get guys?" They all burst out laughing. "Well I don't know! It's not polite to not look good, right?" Nick shrugged.
"I don't care. I don't care what I look like," he said casually. AJ cracked up at that.
"Yeah right, Nicky! You spend hours looking in the mirror and fixing your hair! You know it too! Ha! Ha!" he bent over from laughing so hard. Nick glared hard at him.
