Homer J. Simpson is the patriarch of the Simpsons family. He is married to Marge and is the father of three children: Bart (10), Lisa (8) and Maggie (1). Homer works for Mr. Burns at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant as a safety inspector in sector 7G. He would love to make more money -- as long as it doesn't interfere with his many donut breaks. When he's not protecting Springfield from nuclear meltdown, Homer can usually be found in front of a snack vending machine. His favourite pasttimes including eating anything that's edible or non-edible, drinking Duff beer, hanging out at Moe's Tavern and lounging on the couch.

Although Homer is a little slow and sluggish, he has accomplished some impressive feats. A native of Chicago, Dan Castellaneta is the voice of Homer J. Simpson. Castellaneta, who has been acting since he was six years old, is also the voice of various characters on the show including Krusty the Klown and Barney. Dan Castellaneta's other acting achievements include stints with Second City in Chicago, appearances on the Tracey Ullman show and he has also done voice work in more than 100 commercials.
