A Trusty Shield
This reformation project came from a WELS/ELS
Homeschool list I am on. Thanks, Ruth in Norway!!
You will need:

1.  Cut out the shape of a shield from the cardboard.

2.  Apply a light coat of glue to shield and cover with aluminum foil.  Fold extra foil to the back of the shield.

3.  Cut out an open Bible.  Use the black for the cover and white for the pages.

4.  Write a Bible passage on the white page of the Bible.  Think about what passages Luther might use.  For example, "The Just shall live by FAITH" or "God is my Refuge and Strength."  Think about other passages that are your favorites.  Choose one to put on your project.

5.  Adding a piece of red ribbon like a bookmarker, adds nice color to the project.

Note:  When I did this project with younger children, I provided them with patterns for the shield and Bible.  Older kids were on their own.  This same idea could be cut out of felt for a simple banner.
