Daddy's Onion Pie

1. Make the pastry as for any pie.

2. Slice onions real thin into the pastry lined pie plate until just full.

3. Sprinkle with flour, about 2 T. and a bit of milk, about a 1/4 cup.

4. Season with salt and pepper to taste and top all with 4 dabs of butter.

5. Put on the top crust and scallop edges.

6. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 35 to 40 minutes. Cool slightly before serving.

The first time my Dad wanted me to come over for a piece of "onion pie", I thought it sounded so disgusting. The only reason I went was because my Mom was downstate at my sister's and I figured he was lonely. Needless to say, after tasting it, I had seconds. Amazingly enough, this is great.
