Tomato Cucumber Marinade

list a:
      2 large ripe tomatoes
      1 medium cucumber
      1 medium onion

list b:
      1/2 c. light oil
      1/4 c. cider vinegar
      2 t. salt
      1 t. dried basil
      1 t. dried tarragon
      1/8 t. pepper

Slice vegetables into very thin slices, and layer them in a large bowl. (cucumbers/onions/tomatoes three times)

Combine ingredients in list b, shaking thoroughly to mix. Pour over sliced vegetables, cover and marinate in fridge for at least 5 hours. Longer is better.

I got this recipe from my sister-in-law Mary. It is a real treat. I usually make it for holidays, because it looks so fancy.
