
Cut into small pieces:
1/2# lean bacon
1 medium onion
1 green pepper
Fry together in frying pan until bacon is crisp and vegetables are done.
Drain grease, then add:
1 can tomato soup
1 small can mushrooms (drained)
1/2 #velveeta cheese cut up
Let all ingredients melt together, stirring occasionally.
In the meantime, boil 1 1/2 cups of elbow macaroni until tender.
Rinse and drain. Pour cheese mixture over precooked macaroni
and mix thoroughly. Bake 45 minutes, uncovered, at 350 degrees F.
Serves 4 to 6.
This recipe is from my Aunt Gen, in fact we call it "Aunt Gen's Casserole". It is one of our family favorites.
