| Edvart is a son of Tollef and Hannah Braatelien. He was born in Braaten, Sigdal, in 1868, and came with his parents to America. He worked a few years in the vicinity of Rothsay. Then in 1895 he bought a farm near Sunbright, Tennessee, and stayed there a few years. He has taken a homestead in Ward County, North Dakota, and lives there now on his own farm, still frying his own pancakes because he has not found himself a mate. His address is Larson, North Dakota.
