| O. J. Moen and Miss Emma Nyseth were united in marriage at Fergus Falls April 10th. They will reside on the John Moen farm in Oscar. April 17, 1909 Rothsay Paper. Ole John Moen, Rothsay, Dies In This City Spent His Entire Life on Farm Southeast of Rothsay Rothsay - (Special) - Ole J. Moen, respected pioneer of Rothsay, died at 2:30 this morning at St. Luke's Hospital at the age of 61 years, 11 months and 11 days. He had been in failing health since July, and death resulted from cancer. Mr. Moen was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John E. Moen. He was born in 1881 and grew to manhood on a farm 5.5 miles southeast of Rothsay, which he later purchased, and which had been his home ever since. In 1905 he was married to Emma Nyseth, who, with five children is left to mourn his passing. The children are: Mrs. Millard Nord (Mable), Mrs. Art Sorum (Agnes) both of Rothsay; Mrs. Clarence Anderson (Myrtle) of near Rothsay, Calmer, on a farm near Elizabeth and Albert at home. Five grandchildren also survive, and two brothers and one sister - Martin of Lund's Valley, ND; Johnny of Arthur, ND, and Mrs. Charles Grouws of Elizabeth. Mr. Moen had been a life long member of the Friborg Lutheran Church and an active worker in the church. Funeral arrangements have not been completed pending word from relatives.
