3. James M. ARMITAGE was born in 1828 in Wayne County. He died on 16 Apr 1898 in Seneca Falls. Brother Benjamin W. challanged the will in probate court, K. Armitage has a copy of the will. A good deal of family information was learned from the court papers in Waterloo, NY record no. 1992.

James lived at 108 State St. Seneca Falls, Seneca Co, NY. He willed his house and it's contents to Niece Stella (daughter of brother John B.). The estate was devided among most nieces, he had no hiers of his own.
He was married to Eliza in about 1867. Eliza died on 16 June 1897.
