FOURTH GENERATION

William D. King (1798-c1875) and Mary Ann Bryant (1804-1894)

William D. King was born about 1798 in Wilkes County, Georgia, apparently the son of Revolutionary War veteran Richard King and his wife Rachel. William grew up in Wilkes County and on September 21, 1819 he married neighbor Mary Ann Bryant, daughter of Nathan Bryant and Rebecca Little. By 1830, William and Mary Ann had moved to newly-formed Pike County along with her father Nathan, and there they lived for more than two decades, raising at least a dozen children. In 1852 William and Mary Ann King relocated to deep south Georgia in Lowndes County, eventually residing in Berrien County. William died there about 1875, and Mary Ann in 1894. Both are buried in Nashville Cemetery in Berrien County.
