Mark Lott (1815-1863) and Rhoda Davis (1825-1918)

Mark Lott was born on July 29, 1815 in Montgomery County, Georgia, the son of Daniel Lott and Lucinda Peterson. He moved with his family to the part of Ware County that became Coffee County, and first married Charlotte "Hollan" Gaskin, with whom he had five children. After her death about 1852, Mark married Rhoda Davis (January 3, 1833-December 28, 1918), daughter of James Davis and Ann Fletcher, in 1854. There Mark served as a Justice of the first Inferior Court of the newly-created Coffee County from 1854 until 1861. Mark and Rhoda had had six children together before Mark's death in 1863. ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS: As is the case with the vast majority of the family bio pages on this site, some of the information and details regarding this family are derived from the voluminous research of my uncle Daniel Worth, now available online at my father Gene Worth's web site Worth and Solomon Genealogy. My aunt Iva Yeager also shared her own related research with me more than two decades ago, which first sparked my interest in genealogy.
