CHRISTMAS EVE
        Ruth Dixon

On Christmas Eve before the moon
Turns on the stars to light the dark,
Our church bells chime a Christmas tune,
And we all gather in the park.
And in the snow we form a ring
Around a Christmas tree and then
We sing about the Newborn King
And Peace on Earth, Good Will Toward Men.
I hold hands with our bootblack's Joe
And sing and sing beside the tree
Of Bethlehem in Long -Ago ....
        And I feel very Christmas-y.

        EVER VERY NEAR
        Author Unknown

Father, we thank thee for the night.
Keep us safe till morning light,
As the shepherd in his fold
Keeps his sheep from harm and cold.
Bless all friends to us so dear,
        Father, Mother, and all here,
And may Thy little children be
        Ever very near to Thee.

        ABOUT CHRISTMAS
        Adelaide Love

There's so much to love about Christmas!
        The story that Mother tells
Of the Star and the Babe in the manger,
        The songs and the Christmas bells;

The toys and the wreaths and the candles,
        The snow and the company,
And oh, when you wake up on Christmas,
The smell of the Christmas tree!
