Francois was born on 25 Jan, 1756 in New Orleans and christened in the St. Louis Cathedral on 23 Feb, 1756.  He married a Bridget Duvernay, who was also born in New Orleans on 22 Jan, 1767.  She was christened in St. Louis Cathedral on 25 Jan, 1767.   They were married on 28 Apr, 1783 in St. Louis Cathedral.

Francois and Bridget had 7 children.  Little is know about many of these children.  I hope to be able to find more information on these people as I expand my research.

The children are:

• Marie Adelaide Morin, chr. 27 May, 1784.  Married Buenaventura Martin on 18 Apr, 1809.  Had a second marriage.
• Francisca Amelia Morin, born 19 Jan, 1786.  Christened at St. Louis Cathedral on 19 Apr, 1787.  No other information.
• Luis Morin, born abt Nov 1786.  Died 30 Aug, 1787.  Buried in St. Louis Cemetary.
• Jean Eduardo Morin, born 2 Sep, 1792.  Married Marie Dolores Dolhone Perdomo 13 Jul, 1813 in St. Louis Cathedral.
• Joseph Morin, born 8 Sep, 1794 and christened 20 May, 1795 in St. Louise Cathedral.  No other information.
• Inocencio Francois Morin, born 28 Dec, 1796.  Christened at St. Louis Cathedral on 5 Jan, 1797.  Died 6 Jan, 1797 and buried in St. Louis Cemetery.
• Brigitte Morin.  Married Pierre Jose Duvernay on 24 Jan, 1816 in New Orleans.  No other information.

Little more is known about this generation.  Our line continues on through Jean Eduardo Morin and Marie Dolores Dolhone Perdomo, who�s father interestingly was born in Cuba!

* I find it interesting that Francois� name includes the nickname, �Portugues� when he was actually born in New Orleans.  His father, Antoine Gonzales Trauna Morin, was however, born in Portugal in about 1733.  Perhaps Francois was nicknamed �Portugues� to identify him as coming from a Portugues immigrant family?  I would like to find any family who might know anything about this nickname....
