8. Joseph Winfield² Baker (Joseph¹) was born Oct 23, 1851. Joseph died Oct 7, 1942 at 90 years of age.

He married Caroline Speck. Caroline was born 1861. Caroline died Feb 2, 1901 at 39 years of age. Joseph worked most of his life as a carpenter, coming to Blairsville about 1890. He worked for various people including, G.C. Overdorff, which later became kunkles and Andres Lumber.

Joe and Callie lived on various streets in Blairsville, including Burrell, Chestnut, and N. Walnut st. They also lived near town on the "Hart" farm. Grandpap, as all the kids on North side called him, enjoyed good health and was active in both mind and body until his death.

Joseph Winfield Baker and Caroline Speck had the following children:

22 i. Fred³ Baker was born 1884. Fred died 1891 at 7 years of age.

+ 23 ii. Clarence Cleveland Baker was born Nov 19,1885.

24 iii. Edith Mae Baker was born 1888. Edith died 1973 at 85 years of age. Edith never married

+ 25 iv. Margaret Agness Baker was born Mar 22, 1890.

26 v. Bertha Baker was born July 1892. Bertha died Aug 2, 1892 at less than one year of age.

+ 27 vi. Joseph Jacob Baker was born Apr 23, 1898.
