Sunflower sachet
(Original design by Daphne Mah - 1999)

Materials used :   
- Hook F5
- Minlon Spark Nylon - golden yellow
- Minlon Spark Nylon - reddish brown
- Sewing thread &  tapestry needle
- 1/4" width satin ribbon  - green - 8" & 12"
- 1/2" width satin ribbon - red - 10"
- white netting material - 4.25" diameter
- small amount of scented potpourri 

Instruction :   
With reddish brown yarn, make a loop and into this loop, work as follow :  
Rnd 1 : Ch1, 8sc into loop, sl st to 1st sc to join.  Tighten loop by pulling end.
Rnd 2 : Ch1, work (2sc into each st) around.  Sl st to 1st sc to join. (16sc)
Rnd 3 : Ch1, work (2sc, sc into next st) around.  Sl st to 1st sc to join.(24sc)  
Rnd 4 : Ch1, work (2sc, sc into next 2sts) around.  Sl st to 1st sc to join.(32sc)  
Rnd 5 : Working in front loops only, (3ch, sc into next st) around. 
            Sl st to first st.  Fasten & break off yarn.  Weave in loose ends.
Rnd 6 : Working in back loops of Rnd 4, join golden yellow yarn with sl st.
            Work (10ch, sc into same loop, 10ch, sc into next loop) around.
            Sl st to first st to join. Fasten & break off yarn.  Weave in loose ends.

To make potpourri cover 
Loosely sew around netting material about 1/4" from edge.  
Fill in potpourri and pull up thread & fasten opening.  

To make up :  
Tack potpourri 'pouch' to middle of sunflower.  Using reddish brown yarn, thread onto 
tapestry needle and 'sew' front of 'pouch' in a 'netting' pattern as shown above.
Fasten 12" green ribbon from behind of flower &  with a red ribbon, make a bow
onto this dangling green ribbon.  Fasten the 8" ribbon from the back, directly opposite 
from this dangling ribbon for hanging.
