White edged, pink sachet
(Original design by Daphne Mah - 1999)

Materials used :   
- Tulip Steel hook #2 (1.5mm) & # 3 (1.3mm)  
- Minlon Family - pink  
- Minlon Family - white  
- Sewing thread - pink  
- 1/4" width satin ribbon  - pink
- scented potpourri (wrapped in scraps of netting material)  - method  

Instruction :   
(make 2 pieces)  
Using hook #2 with pink Minlon thread,  make a loop and into this loop, work as follow :  
Rnd 1 : Work (4ch, 3tr-cluster, 5ch),  then work (4tr-cluster, 5ch) 7 times.  Sl st to 4th ch to join.  
Rnd 2 : Ch1, sl st to next loop, ch3.  Into same loop, work (2dc-cluster, ch2, 3dc-cluster, ch2).  
            *Into next loop, work (3dc-cluster, 2ch) twice.  Repeat from * around.  Sl st to 3rd ch to join.  
Rnd 3 : Ch1, work (sc into next sp, 5ch) around.  Ch2, dc into 1st sc to join.  
Rnd 4 : **Ch1, into next loop, work (1dc, 1ch) 5 times, sc into next loop.  Repeat from ** around.  
             Sl st to last dc of Rnd 3 to join.  Fasten and break off yarn.  Weave in loose ends.  

To make up :   
Align the 2 pieces wrong side together, with front facing.  (place wrapped potpourri in between these 
2 pieces).   
Rnd 5 : Using hook #2 with white Minlon, join both pieces with sc into 1st sp of 5dc-shell.   
            Ch5, work (sc into next sp, 5ch) around.  Ch1, hdc into 1st sc to join.  
Rnd 6 : Ch5, dc into next loop, ch2, work (dc into next loop, 2ch) around.   Sl st to 3rd ch to join.  
Rnd 7 : Ch1, work (sc into next sp, 10ch, dc into 4th ch from hook, 1dc each into next 6ch, sc into next sp,   
            sc into next dc, insert hook into 3ch-sp from behind of 7dc-strip just made, yo, pull yarn through)   
            around.   Sl st to 1st sc to join.   Fasten & break off yarn.  Weave in all loose ends.   
Weave in ribbon between dcs of Rnd 6.  Tie bow at meeting point of ribbon.  

To make potpourri cover 
Cut 2 pieces of 'netting' (or fabric) about the size of sachet to rnd 4..  
Using sewing thread of same colour as fabric and hook #3 (or suitable size for the thread used),  
crochet around the edges of the 2 pieces together with (sc, ch1)  around.  Stuff with potpourri and 
sew up opening.  Fasten and break off thread.  Weave in loose ends.  

Note :   
3tr-cluster  
*yo twice, insert hook into loop, yo, draw yarn through st, (yo, draw yarn through 2 loops on hook) twice,   
Repeat from * twice, yo, draw yarn through 4 loops on hook (3tr-cluster made)  

4tr-cluster  
*yo twice, insert hook into loop, yo, draw yarn through st, (yo, draw yarn through 2 loops on hook) twice,   
Repeat from * 3 times, yo, draw yarn through 5 loops on hook (4tr-cluster made)  

2dc-cluster   
*yo, insert hook in next st, yo, draw yarn through st, yo, draw through 2 loops on  hook.  
Repeat from * once more.  Yo, draw yarn through 3 loops on hook.(2dc-cluster made)  

3dc-cluster  
*yo, insert hook in next st, yo, draw yarn through st, yo, draw through 2 loops on hook.    
Repeat from * 2 times.  Yo, draw yarn through 4 loops on hook. (3dc-cluster made)
