Materials used
:
- Susan Bates US-G6
- J&P Coat Crochet Nylon - small
amount of Red
- Snap Button
- Tapestry Needle and matching thread
- Mirror approx. 1.5cm x 6cm (optional)
- UHU glue (optional)
Note : :
Gauge : 10 row = 2 inches, 19sc = 4 inches
Begin each row with Ch1,
Turn after each row, unless otherwise stated.
Instruction for Lipstick Holder:
Row 1 : Ch15, 1sc into 2nd ch from hook, 1sc each across. (14sc)
Row 2 - 17 : 1sc each across. (14sc)
Row 18 : Dec twice, 1sc each into next 6sc, dec twice. (10sc)
Row 19 : Dec, 1sc each into next 6sc, dec. (8sc)
Row 20 : Dec, 1sc each into next 4sc, dec. (6sc)
Row 21 : Dec, 1sc each into next 2sc, dec. (4sc)
Fasten and break off yarn, weave in loose end.
Side piece (make 2):
Row 1 : Ch5, 1sc into 2nd ch from hook, 1sc each into next 2sc,
3sc into last ch, working on the other side of ch, 1sc each across. ( 9sc)
Row 2 : 1sc each into first 3sc, inc into next 3sc, 1sc each into last 3sc. (12sc)
Fasten and break off yarn, weave in loose end.
Finishing:
To join - Sc into both thickness of side pieces and main piece as follows :
With both wrong sides of main piece & side piece facing,
(work with main piece facing you) start joining from first row of main piece,
sc across along the flap piece, then continute to join the other side of next side piece
to the main piece. Continue working sc across starting row of main piece till the end.
Fasten and break off yarn, weave in loose end.
Sew snap button to flap and corresponding spot on main piece.
Attach mirror to inner flap with UHU glue as below :
