Lace Travel Tissue

- Tulip Hook 1/0
(or hook size recommended for #10 thread)
- Thread #10 - small
amount of White (for lace), Lilac (MC)
- Tapestry Needle

fit a small packet of travel tissue.
Instruction
(make 2) :
Start working
lace at opening of tissue holder with #10 White.
Row 1 : Ch42, 1sc
into 2nd ch from hook, (ch3, sk1 ch, sc into next ch) across, turn.
(you'll have 20 ch3-lps)
Row 2 : Ch4, sc into
sp of first ch3-lp, *(sk ch3-lp, 7dc into sp of next ch3-lp,
sk ch3-lp, sc into sp of next ch3-lp, ch3, sc into sp of next ch3-lp)*.
Repeat from * to * 3 times, ch1, dc into last sc, turn.
Row 3 : ch1, sc into
dc. * Ch1, work (dc, ch1) each into next 7dc, sc into next ch3-lp*.
Repeat from * to * 3 times, ch4, turn.
Row 4 : Sk first sp,
*work {sc into next sp {of ch made between 2dc}, ch3, sc into next
sp}
5 times*. ** Ch3, sk next 2sp**. Repeat from (* to * and ** to **)
twice.
Repeat from * to *, ch1, dc into last sc, ch1, turn.
Row 5 : Sc into first
dc, *sc into next sc, work (ch3, sk next ch3-lp, sc into next sc) 5 times,
ch1*.
Repeat from * to * twice. Sc into next sc, work (ch3, sk next ch3-lp,
sc into next sc),
sk 1ch, sc into next ch. Fasten and break off yarn. Join
lilac with sl st.
Row 6 : Working FPdc
into dc of Row 3, ch2, *sk next dc, FPdc into next dc,
work (ch1, FPdc into next dc) 4 times, FPdc into next sc*.
Repeat from * to * twice. Sk next dc, FPdc into next dc,
work (ch1, FPdc into next dc) 4 times, ch1, hdc into last sc of Row 5,
turn.
Row 7 : Ch3, dc into
first sp, ch1, dc into same sp, *(dc into next sp, ch1, dc into same sp)
4 times.
Sk next st, (dc into next st, ch1, dc into same st). Repeat from
* across, dc into last st, turn.
Row 8 : Ch3, work (dc
into next sp, ch1, dc into same sp) across, dc into last st, turn.
Repeat Row 8 till piece
is slightly longer than width of travel tissue pack.
Fasten and break off
yarn, weave in loose end.
Finishing
:
Join & sew last
row of both pieces together with MC..
Fold this joined piece
towards the middle so that both starting rows of lace meets at the
middle of the opening
for tissue, right side out. Sc both thickness at the sides
together with MC.
Work 1 or 2 rows of
edging, if desired.
