Do you like to get the pattern for the above bags?

I've received numerous requests for patterns for some of the bags on 'Daphne's Bags' page, which unfortunately does not have any pattern to begin with, as I did not write down any of the pattern when designing/making them.

I've recently designed and managed to write down the pattern for the above bag during my long weekend and days off from work.  To satisfy my Yarn Acquisition Syndrome (YAS) and some of your requests for patterns to some of my original bags design, I've think up a solution!

How would you like to "exchange a ball of yarn for the pattern of the above bag" and at the same time, stand a chance to win one of Daphne's Original bags?  Well, read on!

After designing and making up so many bags with different materials/yarns, I found that it's best to make bags with Cotton as it's really durable and does not 'wool' with usage!

As I would really like to try out Lion Brand's "Kitchen Cotton" and it's really not easy for me to get any cotton yarn here in Malaysia (notice that I have to get my cotton yarns from Singapore's 'Spotlight' store during one of my tight scheduled business meeting trips to Singapore!) or any thick yarn at all, (I've to use/hold 5 to 8 strands of acrylic thread together to get the most suitable thickness for some of the bags you see on my bags page) and your requests for patterns to some of my bags, I've come up with the idea to exchange yarns for my original designed pattern.

This would really give me the initiative to really spend some time to write up more patterns of my original designs!  With the yarns received, I would be able to make some of the bags again so that I could write down the pattern as I go along making the bag!  What do I do with all these bags as I go along 're-making' them in order to write the pattern out?  Well, read on…

What better way than to give out these bags to those of you who have 'contributed' to my yarn stash?  For pattern exchanged, you are automatically eligible to participate in a lucky draw to win one of my original bags made from some of the yarns received. The lucky draw would be held for every 10 patterns exchanged, and those names not drawn, would still be eligible for the subsequent draws - this means, the earlier you are in the exchange, you have more chances of winning!

Remember, only names with yarns received would be eligible for the above!  Once the yarn is received, an e-mail notification of receipt and the pattern would be sent out.  The name would automatically be entered into the draw.

As the number of names received nears each draw, an announcement would be made on this page/site so that you could keep track of the nearing draw. Of course, the 'Daphne's Original Bag' prize for the draw would be displayed before each draw on 'Daphne's Bags' page for you to have an idea what the bag looks like! The name of the winner would be announced on this page/site and the winner would be notified via e-mail to look out for the prize in the mail.

How does that sound to you?  If you are still genuinely interested, please write to me at [email protected] for further details of the yarn/pattern exchange
