You would probably like to be told that you don't have to worry about coming to Israel. You'd like to hear that everything is fine, and that the accounts of Arab terrorism are overblown.
Sorry.
Don't let anybody try to convince you that it's safe in Israel. Those pictures that you see in the newspapers may not represent Israel properly, but the terror aspect that they portray is quite legitimate. Israel is in the middle of a continuing war.
The argument that it is dangerous elsewhere does not seem valid either. Yes, incidents do occur abroad, but in general most other countries are at peace. That is not the case with Israel.
However, there is a major difference between violence in the Diaspora and violence in Israel.
Jews who live in the Diaspora may be attacked, or even killed, by evildoers. They will be listed as another unfortunate crime statistic. People will mourn their unfortunate and meaningless death. Nobody will assert that anything was accomplished by the incident.
On the other hand, Jews in Israel who face similar circumstances will die for the sake of Heaven - .
No, that does not mean that you will look forward to being attacked, but it does make a major difference when you search for meaning in life - and in death.
