Climate change will bring positive effects on
     agriculture in the north and negative impact in the
     south and east.

Animals & Plants-
     Rising temperatures will push species upward
     and northward.
     The loss of wetland, tundra and isloated habitats
     will endanger many species.

Glaciers-
   
1/2 of alpine glaciers & large areas of permafrost
    may disappear by th end of the 21st century.

Human Settlements-
     Flooding will increase, causing property damage
     and loss, especially in riverbank and costal
     settlements.

Tourism-
     Higher temperatures, increased heat waves, and
     decreased reliable snow conditions will change
     both winter and summer tourist destinations.

Water Resources-
     Summer runoff, water availability and soil moisture
     are likely to decline in southern Europe.
     Increases in runoff are likely for both northern and
     southern Europe in the winter.
