IMPACT : ANIMALS & PLANTS

Some species may increase in number and range as a result of the increasing temperature.
Many other species, however, will face an increased risk of extinction, and loss of biodiversity.
As the warming increases to higher levels, the number of species and ecosystems affected will rise as well.

ECOSYSTEMS AT GREATEST RISK:

- Glacier, polar & alpine systems
   - Coral reefs & atolls
   - Mangroves
   - Boreal & tropical forest
   - Prarie wetlands
   - Native grasslands
