Tim, Bill, and Jay all went to High School together. Tim and Jay frequented concerts at local venues quite often. They always had a strong friendship and always talked of someday starting a band. Tim had been playing Guitar since he was 11 years old, and Jay had been playing drums with some friends every chance he could get.
Tim got involved with a few different bands and projects, like Flux, Icharus, and Corporate Decoy, all of which disbanded after time.
Jay was involved in a band that was called Atomic Rage, until that was also abandoned.
In 2003, Tim started to work on recording a solo album with Bill, a guy he had known since around fifth grade, but had never been too familiar with. Bill had been involved with past bands like Acid 9 and Children of the Apocalypse. Together, they recorded a bunch of stuff that Tim had written, and Bill gained interest in starting a band with Tim and Jay.
With the addition of a second guitarist/vocalist named Brandy, Fatboy Overthrow was finally born.
Together, Fatboy Overthrow has a very unique style, with influences ranging from The Beatles and Pink Floyd to Marilyn Manson and Slayer. They try to play many different kinds of shows; punk, hardcore, rock, pop, and even more. Their sound has been compared to From Autumn to Ashes, Smashing Pumpkins, and more.
