Uh-oh! I’m in for it now.

Mom’s got out the curlers again. She does that every now and then. I’m not too crazy about it, but she likes it and it’s not like I have any choice, is it?

Usually she makes a big deal out of it, making me take a bath and wash my hair and stuff. Last time she did this it took all morning … I missed all of my cartoons and the guys were all out on the porch hollerin’ for me to come out and play ball.

I guess I don’t have to tell you I stayed inside for the rest of the day.
