Chloe is crying and standing next to their tree tracing the P & C 4 EVER with her finger. She�s thinking: I love you with all of my heart, and need to know that you still love me. Why do I feel like you�re here with me Philip? Is it because you�re a part of me and you hold the key to my heart? I need you more than ever Philip. I took you and your love for granted and now you�ve fallen in love with Belle. Philip has been quietly watching her from afar, but when he sees her drop to the ground he slowly goes to her. Tears are running down her face and she says, �Why does loving you have to hurt so badly? Why did you give up on me when I need you the most? Why do you love Belle? Why don�t you love me any more?

She smells his cologne then slowly turns around to see him standing there and notices that his eyes are red. He says, �I�m sorry I interrupted you. I paid your taxi driver because I figured you needed time alone. I�ll call another one for you when you�re ready, un�.unless you�ll allow me to take you home. Anyway, I�ll leave you alone, and when you�re ready I�ll be waiting in my car�. So he turns around and starts to leave.

Chloe�s heart is racing and she feels breathless but says, �Philip, please�please don�t leave me. Please don�t go�. He places his palm up and she slowly walks over to him. She puts hers up against his, then both just look into one another�s eyes and feel the love they share. She then places her head against his chest and wraps her arms around his waist.

It does his heart good to have her in his arms and to feel her love. She doesn�t have to say a word because he can see it in her eyes. He holds her for a while then he says, �Why don�t we go sit on the log over by our tree and you can tell me what I can do to ease your pain�. So they walk over to the log and sit next to one another.

She places her hand on his cheek then looks into his eyes. She says, �Please tell me what�s wrong. I see so much pain in your eyes�. He has tears in his eyes and says, �I�ve hurt you so badly and it�s breaking my heart to see you in so much pain because of me. I know you won�t believe me but it�s not you I don�t trust. It�s Brady. But I�m not gonna go there because no matter what I do/say you�ll just think I�m saying these things to get you to come back to me. I�m in one of those situations where I�m damned if I do, and damned if I don�t�.

She says, �What do you mean�? He hesitates and she says, �Please tell me�. So he says, �If I tell you something I overheard it�ll hurt you, and you�ll think I�m lying to turn you against Brady and come back to me. Then if I don�t tell you I�ll be keeping a secret from you, and I don�t want to keep anything from you. But you�ll be hurt when you find out what�s been going on. So I don�t know what to do�. She takes his hand and says, �Please tell me because I�d rather know what�s going on than to be left in the dark�.

He hesitates and tears well up in his eyes but he wipes them away and says, �I ran down the stairs to get out of the house because all I could think about was how badly I�ve hurt you, Chloe. I was heading out the door when I heard my Father talking to someone. I�I overheard Brady telling my Father that it looked like their plan was working because you wanted nothing more to do with me".

Philip continues and says, "He said all he had to do was tell you that our relationship was doomed, that my being jealous of him would continue to make you think I didn�t trust you so this must mean I don�t love you, so you�d push me away. He also said that all he has to do to keep you with him is to act angry/like he doesn�t care, and you�ll feel rejected by him, and will do anything to be with him. Then last, but not least, he says that he tells you that you�re just friends because he knows that if you become too emotionally attached to him, you�ll push him away just like you�ve done to me. He says he should teach a course called, �Manipulation 101�.

He clears his throat then continues saying, �I felt sick to my stomach and felt so betrayed, hurt, and angry. I wanted to go in there and beat Brady to a pulp for doing this to you�to us. But I stood there and listened to see what my Father had to say. He basically said that he never intended for you to be manipulated like this and that it is because of you that I�m alive and well today. He told Brady that he�s gonna come clean with me and he expects him to do the same. He told Brady that if I want to see you he�ll welcome you with open arms. He says he wants me to be happy�.

She�s visibly hurt and angry but says, �I thought Brady was my friend, and to think I actually felt sorry for him and tried to help him. I can�t believe I didn�t see what he was doing to me. How could I have been so blind? You�ve not only been hurt badly, but betrayed by both your Father and Brady. And then I�I turn my back on the one person who means more to me than anything in this world. I�m so sorry Philip! I wouldn�t blame you if you never wanted to see me again. My heart was breaking because I thought you�d given up on me/our relationship. I thought you didn�t love me any more and you�d moved on with Belle. I was so afraid you�d fallen in love with her on that island, and this is why I came here tonight. She gets up and walks over to their tree with tears running down her face.

Philip gets up and rushes over to her and says, �Chloe Baby, how could you ever doubt my love for you? My God, I�m so deeply in love with you that I don�t care about what the kids at school think of me. I mean, they�ve seen me practically beg you to take me back! That�s something the �K-man� would NEVER do�. He gently places his hand on her cheek then says, �I only have eyes for one woman, and that woman is you Chloe. And I�m gonna prove to you that I�m in this relationship of ours for the long haul. As far as Belle goes, we grew up together and share a special bond. I love her as a �friend�.

Chloe�s relieved and says, �Now I know what it feels like to be jealous. It�s because I�I care about you so much and am afraid of losing you that I feel this way. Now I understand how you feel about Brady because when you�re around Belle I can see the love you have for her in your eyes. Belle told me she could see it in my eyes as well as Brady�s when we look at one another, and that you can see it too. But I felt this special bond with him because he/I have a lot in common. We�re both different and have felt unloved all of our lives. I cared about him as a �friend�, and that�s all Philip�.

He rubs his eyes then says, �Brady wants more than that, and we�re gonna have to deal with that somehow. But I�ve also got some issues that need to be dealt with before I can be with anyone�. She says, �Are you saying you don�t want to see me anymore�? He hugs her then says, �Chloe, what I�d like to do is start over and do it right this time. The problems we had in our relationship were caused because we fell in�in love first and I was so afraid of doing/saying the wrong thing for fear you�d leave me. Anyway, we already love one another, but now we need to become really good �friends� and feel �TOTALLY� comfortable with each other. Then once that happens we won�t be afraid to tell each other how we really feel�.

She says, �Philip, I�I�ve never felt as close to anyone in my life, and you�re the only one I�ve felt comfortable with until�until Brady. The only reason I felt comfortable with him is because we�re just �friends� and I�m not afraid of losing him like I am with you. My feelings for you run deep, and this scares me. I�ve never felt like this before and when I thought I�d lost you I�I felt like a part of me died with you. I�m so afraid if I say those words�.well�something will take you away from me for good. I can�t bear that happening, so I�I�ve got to deal with this fear of mine�.

He has tears in his eyes and says, �I know you love me, but hearing this is music to my ears. And Chloe Baby, I�ll wait as long as it takes for you to tell me those three words I so desperately want/need to hear. We�ve already opened up our hearts to one another and now we�re starting to communicate our feelings. If we continue doing this, and become friends our relationship will be so strong nothing can keep us apart. Are you willing to take a chance on our love? She smiles and says, �Our love/relationship is worth risking it all, Philip. You�re the other half that makes me whole, and as long as I have you by my side, we can survive anything that comes our way. I�I�. Philip places his fingers on her lips then says, �Can you say, �I DON�T love you, Philip�? She gently kisses his lips then looks into his eyes and says, �I DON�T love you, I DON�T love you, I DON�T love you Philip�. He says, �And I DO love you. I DO love you, I DO love you Miss Chloe Lane Wesley�. They laugh then he says, �You don�t know how good this feels. Just looking into those beautiful blue eyes of yours, touching you, holding your body next to mine, and our kiss..MMM�my heart just melts�. She says, �MMM�I feel the same way Philip. I feel the same way�. He holds her for a while.

He says, �Well, I don�t think I�ll confront my Father about what I heard, and am gonna wait and see if he keeps his word about coming clean with me. And as far as Brady goes, what do you think we should do about him�? Chloe says, �I feel a little �Manipulation 101� might come in handy right about now. So what do you say we pretend that we�re still broken up and I�ll act like I�ve moved on with Brady".

She continues and says, "I�ll ask him to drive me to school tomorrow morning, then if you�ll be there at around the same time you were this morning, he�ll be watching us. Then walk up to me and I�ll act like I don�t want anything to do with you, but we�ll end up talking. This will really bother him. Then while we�re in school, I�ll act like I want nothing to do with you, and you�ll tell me it�s over. Then I�ll get jealous and start making the moves on you. I�ll tell you that I want to start over as �friends�. This way when Brady asks Belle what�s going on, she won�t have to lie. We need to keep everyone in the dark about our plan�.

Philip says, �I don�t know Chloe. I have a bad feeling about all of this. You don�t know Brady like I know him. If he feels threatened he�ll strike back. You should�ve seen the look on his face when my Father told him he was ashamed of him and wanted him to leave. He was so angry I thought he was gonna punch a hole in the wall. I don�t care what he does to me. I can protect myself, but if he hurts you I�ll�well he�ll need more than crutches by the time I get through with him. Come to think of it, maybe we should just forget about making him pay for what he�s done to us�. She says, �But..but Philip he can�t get away with this. I think we at least need to give it a shot, and if I think he�s gonna harm me I�ll get angry and leave him. Then I�ll go to a pay phone and call you�.

Philip takes his cell phone out of his shirt pocket then says, �Here! It�s yours. I�ve got another one at home I can use. If you need me for anything all you have to do is call. My home phone number, as well as my car phone, and my other cell phone number are all programmed into it�. So he shows her how to use it, then she places it in her purse. They look into each other�s eyes and he says, �Well, as much as I hate to say this, I guess I�d better get you home�.

Chloe says, �That�s another thing Philip. Both Craig/Nancy think Brady is just about it since we went bowling together. They think he really cares about me. If they see you driving me home tonight, or any other time they�ll try and put a stop to it. Maybe you should take me somewhere and drop me off, then I�ll just walk the rest of the way home�.

Philip says, �Why is everyone so against us? It doesn�t matter whether we get along or not, everyone has been against us from the beginning. Oh well, let them be. Nothing is gonna keep us apart, EVER! I�ll just take you to the corner and let you off. I�ll watch you to make sure you get inside safely, all right�?

She says, �All right. Now can you do your new �friend� a favor and give her a little kiss on her lips�? He flashes those dimples and that smile and says, �MMM�I�d be more than happy to give her a little kiss�. So he gently kisses her lips then this kiss gets more intense. Their hearts are racing and both feel breathless, but he breaks away and says, �I�m really sorry�well�actually I�m not. I�d really love to continue kissing my beautiful new �friend� for the rest of our lives, but�. She smiles then kisses his cheek. He takes her by the hand and they walk back to his car.

Chloe is sitting right next to Philip and says, �Well, it looks like we�re almost at the corner. I�ll look forward to seeing you in the morning�. He smiles then says, �Me too Baby. I always look forward to seeing your beautiful face�. He pulls over to the curb then she leans over and gives him a quick kiss on his lips. He says, �MMM�Goodnight beautiful�. She smiles and says, �Goodnight handsome, I DON�T love you�. He says, �But I DO love you. Now hurry and get inside where it�s safe�. She blows him a kiss then he smiles at her and she leaves.

Philip notices Brady�s Jeep is parked in the Wesley�s driveway so he parks his car on a side street. He sees that Brady has come out of the house when he sees Chloe walking toward the door. Brady says, �Chloe, where have you been? We�ve been worried sick about you�. She says, �I took a long walk. I needed to think about things�. Brady says, �Is that why you smell like Philip�s cologne. He�s the only one around this town I know of that can afford it. It�s very expensive�.

Chloe says, �So now who�s being the jealous fool? We�re just friends, right? You don�t own me, and neither does Philip. So I want you to leave before I say something I�ll regret later�. Brady says, �Chloe, I�m really sorry I doubted you. What can I do to make it up to you�? She says, �For starters, you can leave. I�m tired and have a lot to do before school in the morning. Goodnight Brady�.

He says, �Well�well can I take you to school tomorrow morning if I promise not to accuse you of being with Philip again�? She rolls her eyes then says, �All right Brady. But I�m warning you, if you EVER accuse me of that again, our friendship is over. Got it�? Brady says, �I�ll see you in the morning then�. She goes in the house and he gets into his Jeep and slams the door.

Philip is watching him and sees that he�s very upset. Brady�s face is red and he�s very angry and says, �What a bitc*! Where does she get off talking to me like that! She�s going to be sorry if she�s lying to me about being with Philip. Philip is a loser, and will always be. There�s no way he�s going to win you back Chloe. No way in hel*! I always win, and Philip always loses. How could she love someone like him anyway? He�s just a rich, spoiled �pretty boy�. The only reason anyone likes him is because Daddy is one of the wealthiest men in the world. Chloe�s just interested in his money. That�s it. That�s the only reason she�d choose Philip over a stud like me. Well, she�d better not be lying to me or I�ll�. He grits his teeth then drives off. Philip leaves as well.

Philip is really happy but is also very worried. He picks up the picture of he/Chloe at the first Last Blast Dance and says, �Chloe Baby, I�m so happy we�re gonna work things out. I have a good feeling about us, but am also very worried about Brady. I�ve got to call you and warn you about the way he was acting when you went into the house�. He calls and Chloe doesn�t answer, so he decides to take all of his clothes off then jump into bed.

Chloe runs into the house and up the stairs before Nancy and Craig see her. She�s so happy and throws her purse on her bed. She takes their picture of the first Last Blast Dance then looks at it and says, �Philip Robert Kiriakis and Chloe Lane Wesley��A match made in heaven�. I DO love you Philip. I DO. I love you with all of my heart. Now all I�ve got to do is tell you to your face�.

Philip decides to try calling Chloe one last time before going to sleep. So he calls and Chloe hears the cell phone ringing. She takes it out of her purse then answers by saying, �I DON�T love you Philip Robert Kiriakis. I really and truly DON�T�. Philip has tears in his eyes and says, �But I DO love you Baby. I really, and truly DO love you�.

Chloe has tears in her eyes and says, �MMM�do you know how good it feels to hear you say those words to me? I wish I was in your arms right now�. He says, �Me too, Baby. Me too�. She walks into the bathroom and removes her clothes, then throws a robe on. She lies down on her bed then says, �Philip, there�s something I have to tell you�. He says, �You sound worried. What�s wrong�?

She says, �Well, after you dropped me off Brady came out of the house and asked me where I�d been and that they were worried about me. I told him I took a long walk to think about things, and he asked me why I smelled like your cologne. He says it�s very expensive and that you�re the only one in town he knows of that can afford to buy it. You should�ve seen the look in his eyes when he asked me that! He�s told me you act like a jealous fool, so I said, �Now who�s acting like a jealous fool? We�re just friends, right? I told him he doesn�t own me and neither do you and that I thought he�d better leave before I said something I�d regret later�.

Philip says, �So what did he do then�? She says, �So he asked me what he could do to make it up to me and I told him to leave, and that if he accused me of that again our friendship would be over. I told him I had a lot of things to do before school tomorrow. He wanted to drive me to school in the morning so I agreed because I was gonna ask him to anyway�.

Philip says, �Baby, I want you to be very careful about what you say to him. Just act like you usually do towards him, then he won�t suspect a thing. Then I�m sure Belle will be angry with you for treating me the way you�ll be treating me tomorrow and when she goes home Brady will ask her what�s wrong. She�ll tell him and will be helping us without even knowing it�.

Chloe says, �It�s just gonna be so hard to pretend that things are the same between us, because they�ll never be the same again. What he did to us is unforgivable. I can understand his doing it to me because he�s not blood-related to me, but to you! You�re his Uncle, and he should be loyal to his family. That is the absolute lowest thing a person could do in my book�.

Philip says, �I agree. I even hate doing what we�ll be doing to him, but he needs to be taught a lesson. I�m really glad you told me about what he said because I was gonna ask you about it. I stuck around for a few minutes to make sure you got into the house safely. He slammed the door of his Jeep and was visibly angry and talking to himself. He peeled out and left, so I left as well�.

She says, �It�s gonna be difficult to yell at you tomorrow so everyone thinks we�re splitting up for good, but at least this time it isn�t real. Do you know how hard it�s been for me to push you away all of this time�? He says, �I could see the pain in your eyes and knew you were just afraid of your feelings for me/mine for you. And then the fact that I love you more than anything in this world definitely kept me from giving up on our love. I�ll never give up on you Chloe. You/I are a �match made in heaven� and are �meant to be�. She has tears in her eyes and says, �That�s what I just said when I had our picture of the first Last Blast Dance in my hands and was looking at it�.

He says, �MMMM�since I can�t have you here with me I�ll be dreaming about you�. She rolls over on her bed and says, �I�ll definitely be dreaming about you. What will you be dreaming about�? He smiles and says, �Remember our kiss on your porch during the rainstorm�? Her heart skips a beat and she says, �How could I forget that night Philip? I�ve never felt as close to you as I did that night. We almost�almost �you know��.

His face becomes flushed and he says, �I�m really glad we didn�t make love because we weren�t ready. I want our �first time� to be special and something we�ll remember for the rest of our lives�. She says, �Me too Philip. Have I told you lately how much I DON�T love you�? He smiles and says, �I don�t recall�maybe you�d better tell me again�.

She says, �I DON�T love you Philip. I really and truly DON�T�. She�s starting to get sleepy and says, �I�d love to talk to you all night but I�m getting really tired so�I�ll see you in the morning�. He says, �All right sweetheart. I DO love you with all of my heart and want you to have a good night�s rest. I�ll be dreaming about you�. She smiles and says, �I�ll definitely be dreaming about you and just remember, �I DON�T love you and sweet dreams�. He says, �Good night Baby�. She says, �Good night Philip�. They both fall asleep.

Philip is tossing and turning then starts dreaming and has a fantasy:

He�s lying on his bed with nothing on and she appears in a see-through baby blue nightgown. His bedroom window is open and her hair is blowing in the wind. He�s lying there and can�t believe his eyes. His heart is racing and it�s becoming extremely warm in the room. She�s at the foot of his bed and reaches out for him.

He quickly gets up and goes to her. She runs her fingers through his hair then along his chest as he slowly removes her gown. It falls to the floor and he starts to kiss every inch of her body. She pulls him into a kiss. He breaks away for air then takes her in his arms and kisses her very passionately. He then lowers her onto the bed as they continue kissing. His body feels like it�s on fire and his heart feels like its gonna beat out of his chest. He breaks away from the kiss and she says, �Make love to me Philip�.

Philip hears a noise and wakes up in a sweat and is breathing heavily. He looks around the room and says, �MMM..Chloe�! It was only a dream. God it felt so real�. He lays down and goes back to sleep.

Chloe�s tossing and turning and is having a fantasy:

She�s lying on her bed with a white see through negligee on and Philip appears out of nowhere in a pair of black silk boxer shorts. His hair is slicked back so she can see every inch of his beautiful face. He stands at the foot of her bed reaching out for her. She quickly gets up and goes to him then they look into each others eyes and their desire takes over. She runs her fingers across the top of his boxer shorts then slowly removes them to reveal the most beautiful body she�s ever seen.

She becomes extremely aroused when she sees what�s below his waist. She takes a deep breath then kisses her way up to his lips. She kisses him passionately then he breaks away for air and slowly starts to remove her negligee. It falls to the ground then he takes her into his arms and kisses her once more. Passionately kissing her he lowers her down onto the bed and starts kissing every inch of her body. He makes his way back up to her lips then lowers her body down onto the bed. He breaks away and says, �Baby, I want to make love to you. I want you now�. She says, �I want you too Philip�.

Something startles her and she wakes up breathless and is drenched in sweat. She looks around the room and says, �My God. What a dream! MMM�.Philip�. She lays back down and falls asleep.

Philip is up at the crack of dawn anxious to start the day. He takes a quick shower then puts a pair of Levis on, and a long-sleeved navy blue pull over sweater. He puts his socks and shoes on then goes over to the mirror and brushes his hair. He attaches his cell phone to his pants then takes his backpack and heads down the stairs.

He starts to run out the door and Kate says, �Shouldn�t you be taking it easy Son�? He smiles then kisses her cheek. He says, �I�m feeling really good today Mom. Don�t worry. I�ve gotta go. See you later�. She says, �Well all right Son. Have a good day at school�. He smiles then leaves.

Chloe takes a quick shower then puts on a pair of Levis and a dark blue sweater. She puts her shoes and socks on and is thinking: God! That dream was amazing�How am I gonna be able to concentrate in class today? MMM�Philip, I love you so much and can�t wait to see you today�. She brushes her hair then hears the doorbell ring. She grabs her backpack and runs down the stairs.

She answers the door to find Brady on the other side of it. He says, �What�s put you in such a good mood this morning Chloe�? She says, �I have a really good feeling about today. Come on, let�s go before Nancy comes down�. So they leave.

He opens the door for her and she gets in his Jeep. As they�re driving he says, �So have you heard from Philip�? She has a sad look on her face and he says, �You�re not still in love with that �jerk� are you? I�m telling you Chloe, you guys are all wrong for each other, and your relationship is doomed. Why can�t you see that? I�m only trying to help you because I�m your friend and don�t want to see you get hurt again�. She says, �I don�t want to talk about it Brady. Can we talk about something else for a change�? He says, �I won�t be able to pick you up after school because I�ll be working late tonight. Now that I�m working for my Father in this important position of mine, I won�t have as much time to spend with you�.

She says, �Oh, that�s all right. I�m gonna have tons of homework and won�t have much time to spend with anyone from now on. And don�t worry about taking me to school in the mornings because I�ll just walk, all right�? He looks angry and says, �Sounds to me like you�re trying to get rid of me Chloe. What�s up with that? I thought we were friends and you liked spending time with me. Oh well, that�s all right because I�ll be spending most of my time at Basic Black. My Dad has hired this knock-out new Secretary. I think she�s got the �hots� for me. Doesn�t everybody�?

He pulls into the circular drive at Salem high then opens her door for her. She says, �Thanks for the ride Brady. Oh, and good luck with this new Secretary. Maybe the two of you will hit it off. I�m your friend and want you to find someone who makes you happy. Have a good day. Bye�. He walks back around and gets into his Jeep. He slams the door and is thinking: What the hel* is going on here? She usually falls all over me when she feels rejected by me. Something is going on here and I�ll bet it has to do with Uncle Phil. I�ve got a few minutes so I�ll just park over on the side street and watch her�.

Philip pulls up in a brand new red Corvette and gets out. He sees Chloe and quickly gets his backpack and books out of the seat. He presses the button and locks his car. She turns around knowing that it�s Philip, then quickly turns back around. He runs up to her and says, �Hey Chloe. How�s it going�? She winks at him and says, �Philip, I told you I don�t want to see you anymore. Just leave me alone�. He flashes those dimples and that smile and says, �But Chloe Baby, can�t we at least be friends�? She says, �All right, but that�s all�. So he winks at her and they walk down the corridor together.

Brady is angry and is thinking: What the hel* is going on here? He�s all wrong for her. He doesn�t know her like I do or know what she needs. Why would she want him back when she can have me? Well, I�m not going to worry about it because all I have to do is use the old �Manipulation 101� on her. I�ll have her down on her knees begging me to forgive her for the way she�s been acting today�. He looks in his mirror and says, �Brady Black, you are one good-looking guy. Chloe had better watch out because I�ve got all of the women drooling all over me. She may just have to fight them off if she wants this �HOT BOD� of mine�. He looks at his watch and leaves.

Philip/Chloe are alone in the corridor and she says, �I DON�T love you Philip�. He flashes those dimples and that smile and says, �But I DO love you Chloe. Are you ready for our big fight�? She says, �Not really, but let�s go for it�.

So Philip says, �Come on Chloe! Why won�t you give me another chance�? She acts angry and yells at him, �Philip, I�m sick and tired of giving you chances and you never learn your lesson. How many times do I have to tell you, �IT�S OVER�! You�re no longer my boyfriend, so leave me alone�. .

Philip acts hurt and angry then yells, �You don�t love me anymore. You love Brady! You�ve been lying to me all of this time. You said you were just friends. Yeah right! I�ve been right about the two of you all along. Oh well, he can have you. Tell Brady he doesn�t have to worry about me anymore. I want nothing to do with either one of you. Since we have an audience, I want all of you to know that the �K-man� is back�.

Philip walks away with Shawn following him. Shawn says, �Phil, I�m really sorry�. Philip says, �Not to worry Shawn. I�ll be just fine. Now just leave me alone�. So Shawn says, �All right Man, but you know where I am if you need me�. Philip walks off with Cynthia not far behind.

Chloe runs away and Belle follows her. Belle catches up to her and says, �I�m really sorry Chloe. I don�t know what else to say�. Chloe has tears in her eyes and says, �He doesn�t love me. I can�t believe he just gave up. That just proves that Brady�s been right all along. Philip doesn�t know me or love me. Brady is the only one who I can turn to now�. She runs down the hall and out of sight.
