Philip�s heart is racing but he remains somewhat calm. He helps her over to the little bench sitting against the wall then he helps her sit down. He says, �I�ll be back in a flash�. He runs into the bathroom and brings several towels back with him. He throws a couple of them down on the tile, then takes one and cleans the bottom of Chloe�s shoes off so she doesn�t fall. He then dries her legs off and helps her back up.

She says, �Hubby, I think we need to call Dad/Mom and ask them if they want us to pick them up�. He takes his cell phone out then calls Craig. Craig answers and Philip says, �Dad, it�s time! Chloe�s water just broke and I had to clean her up a bit. She�s sitting on the little bench in the entryway and we were wondering if you/Mom would like us to pick you up�.

Craig says, �Oh..my�God! I�m so excited Philip�uh�umm..yeah, Kate/I will be waiting outside the gate�. Philip says, �All right Dad. We�ll be there in a few minutes�. Craig says, �See you in a few�! Craig runs into the kitchen and says, �Are you ready for our grandchildren to make their entrance�? Kate is so excited and says, �Oh my God! Are the kids at the Hospital already�?

Craig says, �No! Philip is on his way over here to pick us up. We need to hurry and be out at the gate in a few minutes�. She runs into the bedroom and gets her purse and throws her shoes on. Lucas says, �I�d love to go but Will is asleep and I don�t want to wake him. Call me and let me know what�s happening, all right�? Kate says, �All right Son�. She/Craig quickly make it out to the road.

Philip picks her up then carries her to the truck. He gently sets her down then buckles her up in her seatbelt. He closes the door then runs over to his side of the truck and hops in. He uses his remote control to open the gate then heads down the road to Craig/Kate�s Estate. He says, �Baby, how are you feeling�? She says, �I�m happy, excited, anxious, but also scared. The contractions are starting to really hurt�. He says, �I know you�re scared and I�m sorry you�re in pain. I wish I could take it away Baby. But just know that I�m here with you every step of the way. I love you sweetheart�. She says, �And I love you Hubby�.

They�re now at the Wesley Estate and Philip pulls up alongside Craig/Kate. They both get in and Philip takes off. Craig says, �Chloe baby, how are you feeling�? She says, �All of a sudden I feel a lot of pressure down there, Dad. I�ve been having contractions and it�s really hurting now�. He says, �I know sweetheart. Can you tell me how far apart the contractions are�? She says, �I�m not sure Dad. I guess about 6 or 7 minutes apart�. He says, �Son, did you call Dr. Campbell yet�? Philip says, �Oh my God! What�s wrong with me? I should�ve called her first�. Craig says, �Don�t worry about it Son. You�re doing a great job! I�m proud of both you/my beautiful daughter. I�ll just give her a call right now�.

So he calls and says, �Dr. Campbell, this is Dr. Wesley and Chloe�s water broke about ten to 15 minutes ago. She thinks her contractions are between 6 and 7 minutes apart and is experiencing a lot of pain. We�re just now pulling up into the circular drive and the entrance to the ER�. She says, �This is great because I�m already here. I was just checking up on one of my patients that gave birth yesterday. I�ll call downstairs and tell them to put her in a wheelchair and bring her upstairs to the 6th floor�. Craig says, �All right then, we�ll see you in a few�. He hangs up.

Craig says, �Son, why don�t you get out and I�ll go park this thing. Just run inside and tell them who you are and that Chloe is Dr. Campbell�s patient and they�ll take it from there�. So Craig takes Philip�s place behind the wheel, then Kate gets out and opens Chloe�s door. She sees how frightened Chloe is and takes her hand. She says, �Sweetheart, I know you�re scared but just try and relax. Take a nice deep breath then exhale slowly. If you do that every time you have a contraction, it really helps. I know it helped me the three times I was pregnant�.

Philip comes back with an orderly named Tom who's pushing a wheelchair. They help Chloe get out of the truck then into the wheelchair. Tom fixes the footrest on the wheelchair then pushes Chloe down the hall with Philip walking alongside it and holding her hand. Kate stays behind waiting for Craig. They are now in the elevator and Tom pushes the button for the 6th floor.

Tom says, �Your baby is going to be absolutely beautiful by the looks of the two of you�. Chloe smiles then looks at Philip then he says, �Thanks for the compliment. We�re having twins. A boy and a girl�. Tom smiles and says, �It never ceases to amaze me how all expectant parents have that certain look�that twinkle in their eyes. That�s what the two of you have right now�. Chloe holds her stomach and says, �Oh God! I feel like I need to use the restroom�.

The elevator door opens and Dr. Campbell is waiting. Chloe says, �Sarah, the pressure is really bad and it feels like I need to use the restroom. Please get me in there before �you know�. Sarah says, �Tom, take her into Birthing Room # 2 then give her a gown to put on. Philip can help her if she needs him to. You can go ahead and leave the wheelchair here in case we need it. I�ll be there in a few minutes. I have to make a couple of calls first�.

So she leaves then Tom pushes Chloe into Birthing Room # 2 and Philip helps her out of the wheelchair. Tom says, �I�ll be coming up here to see those babies of yours�. Chloe has tears in her eyes and says, �I can�t believe our babies are gonna be here soon. Hubby! I need to use the restroom�. So he goes in with her and waits until she�s finished. She washes her hands then puts the gown on. Philip ties it for her then Sarah comes back into the room.

She says, �Did that make some of the pressure go away�? Chloe says, �No! It�s just getting worse. Is this what it�s supposed to feel like�? Sarah says, �Yes! Chloe, why don�t you get up on the bed and lie down on your back so I can give you a thorough examination�. Philip helps her up onto the bed then stands alongside it holding her hand while Sarah does the examination. She checks her vitals and feels around on her tummy. She then checks to see how far she has dilated. She says, �Chloe, it looks like you�re half way there! You�re already dilated to 5 centimeters and need to be at 10�.

Chloe squeezes Philip�s hand and he says, �Baby, what�s wrong�? She says, �I�m having a really strong contraction�. Dr. Campbell says, �All right. Chloe sweetie, I want you to let me know when this one ends and when the next one begins�. Chloe says, �It�s ended Sarah�. She says, �Let me know the minute you feel the next one coming on Chloe�. She says, �All right�. Sarah places the stethoscope on Chloe�s tummy and says, �Everything sounds good in there. But we�re still a ways away from the actual births Chloe. Especially since this is your first pregnancy. So I�m going to stay in here with you until you have the next contraction then I�ll have Leilani watching over you until it�s time�.

Chloe is again in pain and says, �Sarah, I�m having another one. Ohhh�.God! This one is even stronger than the last one�. She squeezes Philip�s hand even tighter and he says, �Baby, just look into my eyes and think of that peaceful place�then take a nice, deep breath then let it out slowly�. She looks into his eyes then has a flashback of their being on the beach with the sun shining down on the water and the cool breezes rushing over their bodies. Philip is standing behind her with his arms wrapped around her. He gently kisses her neck then whispers in her ear, �I love you Chloe�.

Both look like they�re in a trance so Sarah says, �Leilani, it looks like it�s going to be hours before the first twin is born. From the looks of the Sonogram we did the other day, Blake will be coming first..of course I could be proven wrong. Chloe is dilated to 5 centimeters and her contractions are coming 5 minutes apart, so let me know when they get to 2. I don�t know why I�m telling you this stuff�you know the drill�. Leilani laughs and says, �If I don�t know it by now, there�s definitely something wrong�. They both laugh then Sarah leaves.

Leilani leaves the room for a second then comes back with a pole and a bag of D5W". Philip/Chloe come out of their trance then Leilani says, �Your husband seems to have a calming affect on you Mrs. Kiriakis�. Chloe smiles and says, �He sure does. I�d prefer it if you�d call me Chloe and I�m sure my Hubby would love it if you'd call him Philip�. She smiles then says, �All right Chloe. Let�s get this identification bracelet on then I need to start an IV drip�. So she puts the ID bracelet on her then rolls a stool over next to the bed and places all of her needles and lines, etc. on the bed. She takes Chloe�s hand then says, �I need to find a good vein to put this catheter needle into�. Chloe cringes then squeezes Philip�s hand.

RN Leilani taps her fingers on the top of Chloe�s left hand then says, �Looks like I found a good one�. She takes the needle out then says, �Now Chloe, this is going to hurt and you�ll feel a sharp sting, but I promise it�ll be over in a matter of seconds�. She looks into Philip�s eyes as Leilani does this then she says, �Well Chloe, you�re all set now�. Chloe has a look of relief on her face and Philip says, �I love you Baby�. She smiles then says, �And I love you Hubby�.

Leilani checks the tubing to make sure it doesn�t have any kinks in it then checks the drip, then says, �Well, it looks like everything is under control so I�ll leave the two of you alone. I�ve got other patients to check on but will be coming in every 15 minutes or so to check up on you. But if you feel the need to push or your contractions get to where they�re coming every couple of minutes I need you to push the button and I'll come running in�. Chloe says, �All right Leilani. Thanks�.

Philip leans over and kisses her forehead. He sees that there are washcloths sitting on the little table in the corner so he quickly goes over and picks one up. He goes into the bathroom and runs cool water over it then wrings it out. He walks over to the head of Chloe�s bed then gently places the cool washcloth on her forehead. She says, �Hubby, thanks so much. That feels sooo good. My mouth is really dry. Can I have something to drink? A glass of water�anything�?

Craig/Kate walk in and he says, �Beautiful daughter of mine, unfortunately you can�t have anything to drink, but you can have ice cubes. Dad will go get you some, all right�? She smiles then says, �Thanks Dad, I love you�. He walks over to her then kisses her on the cheek. He lovingly looks into her eyes and says, �And Dad loves you sweetheart. I�ll be right back�. Kate walks over to Chloe then takes her hand and says, �How are you feeling sweetie�?

She says, �I sure wish this was over with. I can�t wait to see who Blake and Amanda look like. For some reason I have this feeling that both Blake/Amanda are gonna have their Daddy�s dimples and his smile. Blake will be handsome like his Daddy, and Amanda will look like me�. Philip says, �I think Amanda is gonna look just like her Mommy. All of the boys are gonna be after her at a very young age and we�ll have to watch her like a hawk�. Chloe smiles then says, �And all of the little girls will be after Blake. We�re gonna be very busy raising these two Hubby�.

Craig comes back into the room and says, �I hope the two of you will allow your Mother/I to take them for the day and spoil them rotten every now and then�. Chloe smiles then says, �We�re counting on that. Both Philip/I want Blake/Amanda to be happy with us as well as without us. It�ll give them a happy balance in their lives�. Dad! I completely forgot. We need to call Mom, Dad, and Grandma Miller. They said they wanted to be here. Oh! and can you call Auntie Fran afte we have the babies"? So Craig picks up the phone on the desk then dials 9 to make an outside call. He punches in Nancy�s home phone number then lets it ring.

Nancy has been pacing the floor and doesn�t know why. The phone rings so she picks it up and Craig says, �Well Grandma, it�s time for you, Grandma Miller, and Grandpa Vic to head this way�! Nancy�s heart is racing and she has a huge smile on her face. She walks around the room with the cordless phone in hand then goes into the kitchen and says, �Mother! It�s time. The twins�oh my goodness�Craig! How is my baby doing�?

Craig says, �Our beautiful baby is doing just fine. She�s a real trooper. Please call Victor and tell him we�re at Kauai General and in Birthing Room # 2. We�ll see the three of you when you get here�. She says, �Oh my goodness�.oh my�Craig, can I please talk to my baby for a minute�? Craig smiles then says, �Sure you can Nance. I�m sure Chloe would love to talk to you�.

Craig hands the phone to Chloe and says, �Your Mother would like to talk to you sweetheart�. She is overcome with emotions and has tears in her eyes. She says, �Mom, I�I�. Tears are running down Nancy�s face and she says, �Chloe Baby, Momma�s gonna be there for you as soon as she can get there. And I love you too. Are you in any pain, sweetheart�? Chloe says, �I�ve been having contractions but they seem to have stopped for a few minutes�.

Chloe drops the phone then starts sweating and is obviously having another strong contraction and in pain. Nancy says, �Chloe? Are you there sweetheart�? Craig says, �Nance, she�s having another really strong contraction, so I need to go. Please call Victor and get here as soon as you can�. She says, �All right Craig. Take care of our Baby until I get there�. She hangs up then calls Victor.

Victor is pacing the floor and doesn�t know why he�s feeling so anxious then the phone rings. Henderson says, �I�ll get it Sir�. Victor says, �I�ll get it Henderson. Thanks�. So he picks up the phone to hear Nancy babbling something. He says, �Nancy, please slow down. I can�t understand a word you�re saying�. She takes a deep breath then says, �It�s..it�s time Victor! The�the kids are at Kauai General..General in the birthing room�. Victor says, �I�ve been pacing the floor and didn�t know why, but now it all makes sense. All right Nancy, I�ll see you in 10 minutes�. She says, �See you in 10 Grandpa�.

He hangs up then says, �Henderson! Henderson, where are you�? Henderson walks into the living room to see Victor smiling from ear to ear. He says, �The twins! The kids are in the Hospital�.Can you please bring my bags downstairs? I packed them several days ago knowing that my grandchildren would be coming soon�.

So he gives Victor a hug and says, �Congratulations Mr. K., and I�ll have your bags down in just a minute�. Victor smiles then makes a call to Sebastian and tells him to bring the car around. He makes another call then heads out the door. He gets in the car then heads over to Nancy�s place and she/Grandma Miller are waiting. They make it to the airport then board the �Concord�. Nancy and Mrs. Miller can�t believe their eyes. Nancy says, �Wow! Victor I didn�t think they rented this thing out for the day�. He says, �They do if you pay them enough money. We needed to get there in a hurry so this was my only other option�. They relax for their journey to Kauai.

Chloe�s pains are even stronger than ever. Her hair and body are drenched with sweat. She rises up and Philip gently massages her back and says, �Baby, take a deep breath then exhale slowly�. Craig says, �How long was it between the last contraction and this one Kate�? She says, �About 4 minutes�. Craig leaves the room and comes back with RN Leilani.

She checks Chloe to see how much she�s dilated and says, �Well, it looks like we�re now at 6 centimeters. Are the contractions lasting longer and more painful now Chloe�? She�s really tired and says, �Yes. I feel like I need to use the restroom again and feel the need to push�. Leilani says, �Well, let�s just use a bed pan right now�. So she gets one and covers Chloe up while she urinates in it. Chloe says, �That relieved a little bit of the pressure but I still feel like I need to push�. Leilani says, �Let me call Dr. Campbell. I�ll be right back�.

Chloe has a worried look on her face and Philip says, �Baby, everything is gonna be all right. I�m here for you and so are Dad/Mom�. He says, �Mom, can you please take this washcloth and run cold water over it so I can lay it on Chloe�s forehead�? Kate smiles then takes it into the bathroom. She comes back out with it and Philip places it on Chloe�s forehead. He hugs her and whispers in her ear, �I love you Mrs. K.�. Is your mouth dry�?

Her lips are now chapped and she says, �Yes. Can I please have some ice cubes to suck on�? He takes the spoon and places a couple of them on it then she opens her mouth wide. As she�s sucking on the ice cubes he says, �When you�re finished with the ice cubes I�ll put some chap stick on your lips Baby�. So she�s finished and he gently puts chapstick on her bottom lip then her top one. He then kisses her on the cheek.

Dr. Campbell is now in the room and says, �Leilani tells me that we�re at 6 centimeters and the contractions are getting stronger and lasting longer�. Craig says, �Yes, and they�re about 4 minutes apart�. Sarah does another exam and says, �Well, it appears we are now at 7 centimeters and I think within the hour you�ll be at 10 centimeters and Blake will be making his entrance. Leilani, you know what to do, and I�ll go get scrubbed and ready for these precious twins of ours. Chloe�hang in there and Leilani will be here monitoring you until I return�. Philip says, �Thanks Sarah�. She says, �Oh! I just love this job of mine! I�ll see you in a few�. She then leaves.

No sooner does she leave than Chloe has an even stronger contraction. She sits up and is in even more pain than ever. Her hair and gown are totally drenched in sweat. She grits her teeth then says, �Leilani, I feel like I need to push�. Leilani says, �Chloe, please try not to push because you haven�t dilated enough�. Philip says, �Baby, let�s do our breathing exercises Tammy taught us. Remember�? She looks into his eyes then he starts going: Hee�hee�who�who ..hee�hee�who..who.. and she does the same. The contraction subsides long enough for Chloe to see Nancy walk into the room.

Victor and Grandma Miller peek in the door, so Craig/Kate let them go in to see Philip/Chloe. Chloe has tears in her eyes as does Nancy. Nancy runs over to Chloe�s bedside and wraps her arms around her then says, �Momma�s here Baby. Momma�s here�. Chloe says, �I�m so glad you�re here�. Victor walks over to Philip and looks lovingly into his eyes then gives him a hug and a kiss on the cheek.

He says, �Son, do you know how very proud I am of the two of you? You have got to be the best kids any parent could ask for. Soon we�ll be welcoming the next generation of Kiriakis�s and Wesley�s into this world. I�m so happy I could just�Victor has tears in his eyes just as Philip does, but makes his way over to Chloe then takes her hand. He looks lovingly into her eyes and says, �Anything you need, you�ve got. I�m so very proud of you/Philip. Thank you so much for just being you�.

Chloe has another very strong contraction then squeezes Philip�s hand and says, �It hurts Hubby. It really hurts. I don�t know if I�m strong enough to do this�. He says, �Baby, let�s do our breathing exercises again�. So both she/Philip are doing their hee..hee..who..who�s then Dr. Campbell comes into the room. Victor says, �I�ll leave now but will be pacing the floor in the hall�. So he joins Grandma Miller, Kate, and Craig in the hall. Nancy says, �Sweetheart, I�d like to stay if that would be all right with you/Philip�.

Chloe looks at Philip and he says, �We wouldn�t have it any other way Mom�. So Nancy smiles and takes Chloe�s free hand. Chloe is once again in a lot of pain and the contractions are now coming about every minute. Dr. Campbell puts on her gloves then does another quick exam and says, �Well it looks like you�ve dilated to 10, so the next time you feel the urge to push I want you to give me a good, strong one". Chloe�s in a lot of pain and doing her breathing exercises with Philip and she grits her teeth then pushes as hard as she can. Sarah says, �I see a little head, but I need you to give me another really good push�.

Chloe grits her teeth and just about squeezes Philip�s hand off then pushes really hard. Sarah says, �All right Chloe, Blake�s head is almost completely out and after this next push you�ll be home free�. Philip looks like he�s gonna pass out but says, �Come on Baby, you can do it. I know you can�. She looks at him then screams and gives it all she�s got. She�s really tired and falls back down onto the pillow and feels relieved because Blake is now completely out.

Dr. Campbell says, "Leilani, the time of birth is 7:33 PM�She then does a quick check on Blake then clears his little throat and ears. He starts crying then she puts some drops in his little blue eyes. She picks him up and takes him over to Chloe and places him on her tummy and says, �Well Mom and Dad, this is Blake and he�s one of the healthiest little baby boys I�ve had the pleasure of helping deliver. Mom did all of the work! He had an Apgar rating of 10� which is perfect�.

Chloe/Philip and Nancy all have tears in their eyes. Chloe�s chin is close to his lips and Blake starts sucking on it. Chloe smiles as does both Philip/Nancy. Philip takes his little hand and says, �Oh Baby�.he�s just�just perfect. Look at these little hands and feet�. Chloe counts them and says, �They�re all there and he�s not only got Daddy�s blue eyes and blonde hair, but his dimples as well�. Nancy is crying tears of joy and says, �He�s absolutely the most beautiful baby boy I�ve ever seen�.

Dr. Campbell says, �Mom, I need to take him away from you for just a few minutes then you can hold him until it�s time for Amanda to make her entrance�. So she takes him from her then says, �All right Dad! I need you to cut the chord so here are the scissors�. Philip is shaking and says, �Will this hurt Blake or Chloe�? She says, �No, it won�t Philip. After I get this clamp in place I want you to cut it about an inch above it�. He says, �All right�. So she clamps it then he cuts it�. It bleeds a little bit then she gives Blake to Leilani so she can clean him up, weigh him, measure his length, then get him ready to be held.

Craig/Kate/Victor, and Grandma Miller have huge smiles on their faces and pop their heads inside then Chloe says, �Can they come in Dr. Campbell�? She says, �Sure. I don�t see why not�. So everyone takes their turn giving Chloe a kiss/congratulating her. They go over to Philip and kiss/congratulate him and look at their new grandson. They are all doting over him and Leilani says, �Well, Blake weighs in at a whopping 8 lbs. 2 ounces and is 21 inches long�.

She places a baby blue Huggies diaper with little animals on it on him, a pair of baby blue booties on his little feet, and a baby blue cap on his head. She then wraps him up in a baby blue receiving blanket. She says, �Well Dad, would you like to hold your son�? Philip is nervous but says, �I�ve been waiting a long time to do this, but am afraid I�ll drop him�. She gives him to Philip and shows him how to cradle his little head then says, �He won�t break Daddy. You�re a natural�. Philip can�t believe how good it feels holding his son in his arms. Blake is looking at him and Philip just �melts�.

He takes him over to Chloe and says, �Baby, you�ve just given me one of the most precious things a woman can give a man besides her love and that�s our son Blake. He�s just�just so �perfect�. Blake starts sucking on his knuckles and Victor says, �Philip used to do that. Remember that Kate�? She smiles and says, �I sure do. That is just so precious. Blake is just so perfect�.

Everyone agrees then Blake cries. Dr. Campbell says, �Mom, I think he�s trying to tell you something�. Chloe says, �That he�s hungry�? She says, �You got it sweetie�. Leilani walks over to her and shows her how to get him to start nursing. Chloe is a natural and he starts nursing right away. Philip sits on the edge of the bed and he/Chloe look at one another with such love and contentment. This little family is so very happy and after a few minutes Blake has fallen asleep.

Chloe starts having contractions again and says, �Dr. Campbell, I think Amanda is ready to make her entrance now. I feel the need to push again�. So Leilani takes Blake and says, �Which one of you grandparents would like to be the first to hold your grandson�? Everyone looks at one another but they decide to let Mrs. Miller have the pleasure of holding him first. Leilani says, �Since he�s sleeping and Mom will probably be screaming in pain again, let�s go into the Nursery and you can rock him in there�. So they head for the Nursery then Leilani comes back into the Birthing Room to help Dr. Campbell with Chloe once again.

Chloe starts sweating again and Philip takes the washcloth Leilani gave him and places it on her forehead. He lovingly looks into her eyes and says, �Baby, this is it! After you do this we�ll see our beautiful baby girl�. She says, �I know Hubby, but I�m just so very tired. I don�t know if I have the strength to do this�. Philip says, �I have complete faith in you sweetheart and I�m here for you�.

Craig walks into the room then takes her hand. He says, �And Dad�s here for you too�. Chloe has tears in her eyes and says, �I sure love both of you�. Philip leans down and gives her a kiss then Craig kisses her cheek and they both say, �I love you Chloe�. They laugh then Chloe screams out in pain. She squeezes both Philip�s and Craig�s hands. Philip says, �All right Baby, let�s do our breathing exercises�.

So all three of them do the hee..hee..who..who�s then Dr. Campbell says, �All right sweetie. Give me a nice, strong push�. Chloe grits her teeth then rises up a little and gives a really strong push. Dr. Campbell says, �That was a really good one Chloe. Now all I need is one more really good push�. So Chloe grits her teeth one more time and gives it all she�s got. Amanda is totally out and Dr. Campbell clears her throat and ears, then she starts crying. She says, �Leilani, time of birth is 8:05 PM�.

She does a quick check on her then puts some drops in her little blue eyes. She takes her over to Chloe and places her on her tummy. She says, �Mom and Dad, this is Amanda and she�s one of the healthiest baby girls I�ve had the pleasure of helping deliver. Her Apgar rating was a perfect 10 just like her older brother�s. Philip/Chloe/Craig all have tears in their eyes and Craig says, �Sweetheart, she is absolutely beautiful�.

Philip says, �Oh my God! She�s got those amazing blue eyes and dark hair just like her Mommy�. Chloe counts her fingers and toes then says, �They�re all there and she�s got her Daddy�s dimples�. She starts crying and Philip says, �Baby, are you all right�? Chloe doesn�t say anything and Dr. Campbell says, �Mommy is tired and is overwhelmed with emotions�. She�s happy this is all over with. She�s relieved that both Blake/Amanda are healthy and have all of their little fingers and toes. She�s also scared�This is absolutely normal and she�ll be just fine�.

Amanda is sucking her two middle fingers on her right hand. Nancy walks in and says, �Oh my God! Chloe did that when she was born�. Dr. Campbell says, �Well, I again need Dad�s help in cutting the chord�. So she takes Amanda from Chloe�s tummy and places a clamp on the chord. Philip takes the scissors and cuts it an inch away from the clamp just like he did with Blake�s. It bleeds a little but quickly stops. She hands her over to Leilani and she cleans her up, weighs her, and measures her length. She says, �Well, it looks like little Miss Amanda weighs 6 lbs. 8 ounces and is 20 inches long�.

She puts a pink Huggies diaper with animals on it on her, then a pair of pink booties on her feet. She also puts a little pink cap on her head and wraps her up in a pink receiving blanket. She hands her over to her Daddy and Philip has tears in his eyes. He can�t believe how good it feels to hold her in his arms. She looks at him and he just �melts�.

He takes her over to Chloe and she starts crying the minute she hits her Mommy�s tummy. She says, �I guess both Blake/Amanda know where their meal comes from�. Philip smiles and says, �She knows who her Mommy is and how to get her attention just like her older brother does�. Chloe has no trouble getting her started nursing and Philip looks lovingly into Chloe�s eyes and says, �Baby, I love you more than you�ll ever know. You are one of the strongest women I�ve ever known. You�re the best wife a man could ask for and the best Mother to our babies. Thank you so very much for giving me two such beautiful and precious babies�. She smiles then says, �Thank you Hubby for giving me two beautiful and precious babies�. He kisses her then Amanda falls asleep.

Dr. Campbell says, �Dad, I need you to take Amanda so I can get Mom all squared away down here. Then if she feels like it she can take a quick shower and get cleaned up�. So Philip takes Amanda and says, �Sweetheart, I�m gonna go down to the Nursery and show her to the grandparents. I�ll be back in a few minutes, all right�? She smiles then says, �All right Hubby�.

Chloe has expelled the placenta and everything looks good then Dr. Campbell says, �Well sweetie, I�m very proud of you. You did an excellent job, and Blake/Amanda are both very healthy. They are absolutely beautiful and I expect to have pictures of them for my wall at the office�. Chloe says, �Thanks for everything Dr. Campbell and we�ll definitely be taking a lot of pictures. Philip bought a new digital camera, as well as a camcorder and the grandparents did the very same thing. If I know my husband, he�ll give you more than a few pictures of them�. Sarah laughs and says, �The more the merrier. You know I not only have pictures of the babies I�ve helped deliver at the office, but have pictures of them in albums at home�. Chloe says, �You really love your job, don�t you�? She says, �I really and truly do�.

Dr. Campbell says, �Well Chloe, I�ll go get the birth certificates squared away and have pictures taken of Blake/Amanda then after you get cleaned up I need to talk to both you/Philip about circumcising Blake�. Chloe says, �Do we have enough time to talk to our parents before we make this decision�? She says, �Sure you do. I�ll be here at the hospital for another 2 hours then I�ll be going home. When you decide, just beep me or call me on my cell phone�. Chloe says, �All right, thanks again Sarah�. She smiles then leaves.

Leilani comes back into the room and says, "Dr. Campbell told me she thought it'd be all right to take the catheter out of your hand then stop the IV drip". Chloe says, "That'll be just great. Now I'll be able to take a shower and get around without having to worry about this tubing and that pole". So Leilani takes the needle out of her hand then places a piece of cotton on it. She has Chloe put pressure on it until she gets a piece of tape. She does then Leilani places a piece of tape across it. She says, "You can take this off in about 5 minutes". So Leilani takes the pole as well as the tubing and leaves the room.

Philip comes back into the room without the babies and she says, �Hubby, will you help me take a shower�? He smiles then says, �Sure thing�. He helps her into the bathroom then she takes her clothes off. She's bleeding but was told this would happen so she�s not worried about it. Philip is though, and she explains to him that it�s normal. She gets into the shower and he stands outside of it and takes a sponge and washes the places she can�t reach.

She washes her hair, then does a final rinse then he hands her a towel. He places one on the floor so she won�t slip and fall then takes another one and helps her dry off. He closes and locks the door to her room then quickly lays out the gown they packed for her as well as underwear, a robe, and a pair of slippers. He helps her put them on then brushes her hair for her as she sits in the chair over by the window.

She�s really tired but says, �Can you ask Leilani if it�d be all right if we walk down to the Nursery to see Blake/Amanda and the other babies�? He smiles then says, �I�ll be glad to do that but first I need something from you�. She raises her eyebrow and says, �And what might that be Hubby�? He says, �I�m in desperate need of some love and affection from my very beautiful wife and the mother of our twins�. She wraps her arms around his neck then he wraps his around her waist and she kisses him very passionately. The Nurse comes in and says, �I�m sorry. I didn�t think you�d be up and about so soon Chloe. You�re one strong young woman�.

Both Philip/Chloe smile and he says, �Would it be possible for me to walk Chloe down to the Nursery so she can see our twins and all of the other babies�? She smiles then says, �As long as she feels like it I don�t have a problem with it but I think after this she needs to get some rest�. Philip says, �I promise�I�ll lie down with her and make her rest�. So she says, �All right, I�ll have your things taken to Room 602 just a few feet from the Nursery. It looks like this room will be needed in less than an hour�. So they leave.

So Philip takes Chloe�s hand and they walk down the hall towards the Nursery. All of the grandparent�s are looking into the Nursery at the babies. Philip/Chloe walk up behind them and they can�t believe Chloe is up and about. Nancy says, �Sweetheart, you just gave birth to two healthy babies, aren�t you tired�? She says, �Yes, but I�ll have plenty of time to rest after while�. The grandparents look at one another then Kate says, �The days of resting are over kids. These two are going to keep you on your toes. But don�t worry, we�re all here to help you�. Philip wraps his arms around Chloe�s waist then they look at Blake/Amanda sleeping in their beds and Philip says, �We�re in this together, Baby. I�ll be by your side every step of the way. This is only the beginning of our long and happy life together as a family�.

Chloe kisses him then says, �Dad, Dr. Campbell wants to circumcise Blake right away. What are your feelings on this? Will it hurt him�? Craig says, �I really think it should be done because it�s easier to keep the area clean. And they�ve now decided that this DOES hurt the baby more than they originally thought, and will give them a local anesthetic so they don�t feel any pain. But it�s entirely up to the two of you�.

Philip says, �Baby, as long as it doesn�t hurt Blake I think we should have it done right away and get it over with�. Chloe agrees then Dr. Campbell comes up to them and says, �Well, have you decided yet�? Chloe says, �We�ve decided to have it done. The sooner the better�. So she says, �You�ve made a wise choice and I�ll go in and do it right now�.

So she goes in and gives Blake a mild anesthetic then does it. He cries and Chloe/Philip both have tears in their eyes. Craig says, �He�s not crying because it hurts kids. He�s crying because his sister is. They both must be hungry�. So Dr. Campbell motions for them to come into the Nursery after they�ve put gowns on. They do then she hands Blake to Chloe, and Amanda to Philip.

She says, �All right now, if you�ll let Blake nurse for a few minutes and rock him, then I think he�ll fall asleep. Then Dad can rock Amanda while you�re doing that. Then you can switch babies and Amanda can nurse and fall asleep while you rock her�. So Chloe lets Blake nurse and she wipes the tears away from his little eyes. Philip rocks Amanda and wipes the tears away from her little eyes.

After they�ve both been fed the Nurse takes both babies and places them in their beds. She then says, �The two of you need to get some rest. If you want to we can keep the babies here while you rest and bring them to you when they get hungry. OR you can have them, along with their beds in your room with you at all times�. Chloe says, �We want them in our room with us�. So they head toward Chloe�s room�.

Chloe lies down then Philip lies beside her. The babies are right alongside each other and Craig says, �We�ll come back to visit you guys in the morning, all right�? Philip/Chloe say, �All right�. Philip wraps his arms around Chloe and says, "I love you with all of my heart, body, and soul Mrs. K". And I love Blake/Amanda so very much". She says, "And I love you with all of my heart, body, and soul Mr. K. I love Blake/Amanda so very much". They both fall asleep in each other's arms. Blake/Amanda are both asleep as well. ________________________________________
