Chloe is thinking: My God Chloe, he just�he just said this beautiful song reminds him of�of us�Is it possible? Could we be in love? No! We can�t be! This only happens in fairytales and soap operas�. The song ends then Philip says, �Chloe�.we�re getting really close to Lahaina! What kind of food would you like to eat�? She sits back up in her seat then says, �Well, I don�t like a lot of red meat but I really love fish�. Philip smiles then says, �Well that makes two of us. I mean I love fish too. I know just the place to take you. They have this fish called �Ono� and it is absolutely delicious. I guarantee you�ll love it�.

Chloe says, �So what�s this place called�? He looks over at her then says, �It�s called �The Ocean House Restaurant�. He turns onto Front Street and sees a bank up ahead so he says, �Did you say �The Bank of Hawaii� was where you had to go�? Chloe says, �Let me make sure�. So she pulls the white envelope out of her purse. She looks at the little piece of paper then says, �Yes! That�s it�! He says, �Well, it looks like it�s just down the street from the restaurant I�m taking you to. Why don�t we eat first then I�ll take you there�?

Chloe laughs then says, �I think that�s a good idea because my stomach won�t stop growling. But if you�d like to take me to the bank first, that�s fine too�. Philip smiles and says, �Are you always this easy-going? I mean you�re really hungry and here you are thinking about what I want to do first�. She shyly says, �Well, I�I�m so used to people telling me what to do, say, and how to act and you treat me like a real person and give me choices. I like to treat people the way I�d like to be treated�you know with respect�.

Philip says, �Well Miss Chloe Lane I have nothing but admiration and respect for you. So, let�s eat first then I�ll take you to the bank�. She says, �All right. That sounds like a plan�. They are now approaching �The Ocean House Restaurant� then Philip says, �Well Chloe it looks like we lucked out. There�s a parking space right in front of the restaurant�. So he pulls into it then takes a look at himself in the mirror. Chloe says, �You�you look just fine Philip. But I�m sure I don�t�. He gently moves her hair over her shoulder then says, �You look absolutely beautiful�. She smiles then he hops out of the car then over to her side and opens the door for her.

She can�t believe how much of a gentleman he�s been since she first met him. He reaches out his hand to her then she takes it. She gets out of the car then he closes the door and locks it. He smiles then takes her hand once more as they make their way inside. They walk in to see that there are a lot of people eating inside but there are tables out near the beach as well.

The Hostess walks up to them and says, �Good afternoon. Will there just be the two of you? Would you like a table inside or outside�? Philip says, �Yes, it�s just the two of us�! He then looks at Chloe and says, �Which do you prefer Chloe�? She says, �I�d love to eat outside�. Philip smiles and tells the Hostess, �Well my beautiful lady has chosen outside so that�s what we�ll do�. She says, �All right then, just follow me�.

As Philip/Chloe follow the Hostess everyone is staring at them and Chloe feels really uncomfortable. Philip sees this and gently squeezes her hand. They are now outside and there are white tables with red tablecloths on them. There are all kinds of people out on the beach and definitely a lot of girls wearing very revealing bikinis. What the guys are wearing is very revealing as well. Chloe can�t believe her eyes. The Hostess says, �Your waitress will be Samantha so just let her know if you need anything�. Philip says, �Thanks�. He pulls out the chair for Chloe then she sits down. He sits on the other side of the table then they both look at their menus.

Chloe can�t believe how expensive it is here. She doesn�t want Philip to have to pay this much for fish but chooses not to say anything. Philip sees the expression on her face then says, �I know what you�re thinking! It�s too expensive, right? Well unfortunately living here is expensive. But I don�t want you to worry about a thing and I want you to order what you want, and as much as you like. When I take a beautiful lady out to eat, I don�t want her to go away hungry�. Chloe says, �But�Samantha walks up and is a really pretty blonde who�s wearing a pair of really short shorts and a bikini top.

She does a double take and says, �Oh my God Philip! Is that you? How are you doing�? Philip smiles then gets up and gives her a really big hug. Chloe is thinking: She�s beautiful�she must�ve been one of his many girlfriends. How can I ever compete against her? And just look at all of the beautiful girls out on the beach. They don�t have bruises all over their bodies like I do. Chloe you�re way out of your league. Why would he ever want you as anything more than a friend when he has all of these girls to choose from�? He says, �When the Hostess said our waitress was Samantha I was wondering if it was you. I�m doing just fine. Samantha I�d like you to meet my beautiful friend Chloe Lane�. Samantha smiles then says, �Nice to meet you Chloe. Have you ever been here before�? Chloe says, �No this is my first time�.

Samantha says, �What happened to your arm�? Philip quickly jumps in when he sees how uncomfortable this has just made Chloe and says, �It�s kind of a long story Sami�. Sami takes the hint then says, �Well it was nice meeting you Chloe and when the two of you are ready to order just wave and I�ll come running�. Philip says, �All right Sami, thanks�. Chloe is really quiet so he sits down in the chair next to her and takes her hand in his. He says, �I know Sami's asking you about your arm is bothering you but I sense something else. Tell me what�s wrong Chloe. Did I do or say something to upset you�?

She says, �I�m..I�m fine Philip. Don�t worry about me�. He says, �But I do! I can tell something is bothering you and it has to do with Sami doesn�t it? You know Sami and I have known each other for a very long time and she and my buddy Rick have been dating since their freshman year in high school. They decided to get married at the end of their junior year and have been happily married ever since. She doesn�t have to work but she loves working here and meeting all of the tourists and stuff. I�ll introduce you to Rick soon, all right�? She says, �You don�t owe me any explanations Philip. You don�t belong to me. I�d love to meet your friend Rick though�.

He says, �I feel so close to you and want us to become really good friends and�and take it from there. But if you don�t feel the same way then�well�. She says, �But�but I do Philip. I want to know everything about you�. He smiles then kisses the top of her hand and says, �Well now that we�ve got that settled how about taking a look at this menu and telling me what you�d like to order�. He moves his chair even closer to her then says, �How about ordering the �Ono� and it comes with a Caesar�s salad, garlic toast, and rice pilaf�? She says, �MMM�I�d love to have that�.

Sami sees Philip motion for her to come over to their table and she says, �So have you decided�? Philip passes the menu to her then says, �We�ve decided to have the special. We�d like 3 of them�. Sami says, �Sounds like the Philip I know! Always ordering two of everything to fill that bottomless pit of yours�. Chloe and Sami have a good laugh then Philip says, �Hey! It's not my fault you know. It�s genetic�. Sami says, �Whatever you say Philip�. She says, �What kind of salad dressing would you like, and what would you like to drink�? Chloe says, �I�d like Thousand Island and how about a glass of iced tea�? She says, �All right Chloe. Now how about you Philip�? He says, �Ditto�. Sami says, �I�ll be back in a few then�.

She leaves then Philip says, �So how do you like it here so far�? Chloe says, �I really love it. I can�t believe I�m actually sitting out here with you. This table is practically on the beach. Then look at all of the people out there. I love the cool breeze and all of the palm trees and everything is so lush and green. I can�t wait to take my shoes off and walk along the beach�. Philip says, �Well you know that can easily be arranged. Would you like to do that after we eat�? Chloe smiles and says, �I remember my friend Tammy telling me there�s a really beautiful stretch of beach where her family�s beach house is. If that�s true I�d love to take a walk along it when we get there�.

Philip says, �What is your friends last name? Maybe I know them�! Chloe says, �Armstrong�. Philip says, �Oh my God! Are her parents John & Lynn Armstrong�. Chloe says, �Yeah! How did you know�? He says, �They live right next door to my Father�s Estate! It looks like we�ll be neighbors�. Chloe is thinking: How did I get so lucky? MMM�.I�m sooo excited�he�ll be soooo close to me�Philip gently nudges her then says, �Chloe! Did you hear what I just said�?

Chloe hesitates for a minute then says, �That�that makes me really happy. It'll be great having you as my neighbor while I'm here. Is that stretch of beach as beautiful as my friend says it is�? Philip says, �Chloe, it really is! There aren�t as many tourists that know about this beach so it�s usually a lot quieter than it is here. I�d love to take you on as many walks as you want along it if you�ll allow me to�. She has a huge smile on her face and says, �I�d really love that Philip�. Philip says, �Well it looks like we�re finally gonna get to eat. I�m starving�!

Sami places everything on their table then says, �Enjoy�. Chloe says, �Thanks Sami� then she leaves. Philip says, �Well, dig in�. So they eat their Caesar�s salad then he cuts a piece of his �Ono� and feeds it to her. She says, �MMM�this has got to be the best fish I�ve ever had Philip�. He smiles and says, �I told you you�d love it. Do you want another bite�? She doesn�t say anything then cuts a piece of hers and feeds it to him. He says, �MMM�it tastes even better when you feed it to me�.

She starts to give him another bite then this guy comes up to Philip and says, �Philip dude, how�s it going? Whooooo is this beautiful lady? MMM..MMM..MMM Philly boy, you sure know how to pick em� ". Before Philip can say a word this guy takes Chloe�s hand in his then kisses the top of it. Philip�s blood is boiling then he gets up from the table and says, �You know last time we saw each other you said we were no longer friends, and now you�re acting like we are. Gee, I wonder why? You haven�t changed one bit Matt! Take your hands off of my girlfriend�! He says, �Whoa! Take a chill pill dude. Geez, all I did was kiss her hand�. Philip says, �Chloe, this is Matt�. Chloe says, �Nice�nice to meet you Matt�. He says, �Likewise Baby. And if you get tired of Philly boy just let me know�.

Philip says, �Chloe Baby, please wait here and I�ll be right back�. Philip takes Matt�s arm then pulls him away from the table and says, �I�m warning you Matt! Stay away from my woman�. Matt says, �Would I try and take your woman away from you Phil�? Philip�s face turns red then he says, �You�ve tried it in the past and I certainly don�t trust you. So just leave�. Matt says, �I�ll leave but only because I have to go meet this chick. Don�t tell me what I can and can�t do Phil�. Philip says, �You�ve been warned and that�s all I�m gonna say�. Matt leaves angry.

Philip walks back to the table and sits down next to Chloe. She�s concerned and says, �Philip, what�s wrong�? He says, �I..I hope you�re not angry with me for saying that you�re my girlfriend but�but you don�t know Matt like I do. If he thinks you�re unattached, he�ll bug you non-stop to go out with him. He�s a player and I don�t want him anywhere near you�. Chloe says, �I�m not mad at you Philip. I think it�s so�so sweet that you�re trying to protect me. Nobody has ever done that except�except my adoptive Father�. Philip wraps his arm around her neck then says, �Well that�s my job now if�if that�s all right with you�? A tear rolls down her cheek then she says, �It�s�it�s fine with me�. So he smiles then kisses her on the cheek.

They continue eating then have their dessert. Sami comes back with the check then Philip quickly takes his wallet out and gives her his credit card. She goes away then comes back and says, �Well Philip. Now all I need is your signature�. Philip says, �Well Sami thanks for everything and will you tell Rick that I�m back in town. I�d really like to see him, and for him to meet Chloe�. Sami gives him a copy of the receipt then says, �I�ll tell him and Chloe, I hope while you�re here we can become friends. Take care you two�. Chloe says, �Me too Sami and thanks for everything�. Philip says, �Thanks Sami. Bye�. She leaves.

Chloe says, �Philip, thank you so much. That was delicious�. He says, �You�re most definitely welcome. Is your tummy full�? She says, �Oh yeah. I shouldn�t have to eat for quite a while. I can�t believe I ate that much. I guess I was a lot hungrier than I thought�. He says, �See, what did I tell you? When I take a lady out to eat, she doesn�t go away hungry�. Chloe smiles then says, �That�s for sure�.

Philip says, �Well, why don�t we go to the bank then I was wondering if you�d do me a huge favor�? She says, �Sure! What would you like me to do for you�? He says, �Well I didn�t bring enough clothes with me and I thought that maybe�well maybe you�d go shopping with me. But�but only if you feel like it�. She says, �Sure! I�d love to�. He stands up then says, �Well I guess we�d better get a move on then because we have a lot to do�. So he helps her up then they leave.

They are now standing outside of the restaurant. He says, �How about we walk down to the bank since it looks like people are waiting to find parking spaces. We can look in a couple of the stores on our way�. She says, �All right�! He takes her right hand then they walk hand-in-hand down the street. Philip says, �Oh Chloe, this store is really a good one. They have just about everything a person could want in here�. So they walk in and he says, �I�ll be right back, all right�? She says, �I�ll just be over here looking at the dresses and stuff. If they�re not too expensive and I find something I like I�ll have the saleslady hold it for me until I get back from the bank�.

So Philip walks over to the saleslady and speaks to her. Chloe is wondering what he�s talking to her about but figures it�s none of her business then continues to look at the dresses. She pulls out a couple of them then looks at the price tag and puts them back on the rack. Philip comes back and says, �Well while you were looking at the dresses I picked out a bunch of shirts, and some shorts. So I�m gonna try them on then model them for you and I need your help in deciding which ones I should buy. You can sit in a chair while you wait for me to change each time. So is that all right with you�? Chloe�s thinking: MMM�this is definitely something I�ll thoroughly enjoy�. He says, �Ummm�Chloe�! She says, �Oh ummm�yeah that�s fine with me�.

So he goes into the dressing room and within a few minutes he comes out with a beautiful blue Hawaiian shirt on and a pair of white khaki shorts. Her heart skips a beat and she�s thinking: My God he looks �HOT�. He says, �Well what do you think�? She smiles then gives him a thumbs- up. He continues trying things on and is finally finished. He walks over to her and says, �You know, I just realized something�! Chloe says, �What�? He laughs then says, �You gave me the thumbs-up on everything I just tried on. So I guess I�ll have to buy it all�!

She laughs and says, �I guess that�ll teach you�! He says, �What do you mean�? She says, �Well now you�ll have to buy everything. It�s gonna cost quite a bit after looking at the prices for everything in here�. Philip says, �I really needed all of these clothes though. Everything I have at the Estate is old and outdated. Did you find anything you liked�?

She says, �Oh there were a lot of things I liked but I just thought about something�. He says, �And�? She says, �I don�t know how I�m gonna be able to dress/undress myself or do anything like that. You know I really had no problem eating because thank goodness my right arm isn�t the one that is broken but�

Philip says, �I was gonna help you eat but as I watched you I saw that you were doing a really good job on your own. I�d be happy to hire someone to help you out a couple times a day. You know to help you get cleaned up then help you get dressed and un�undressed. Then�then if you�ll allow me to I�d be more than happy to come over and cook for you. OR you can come over to my place and I�ll cook for you. My Father has people come in every couple of days to keep the place clean as well as take care of the landscaping, but other than that I�ll be there by myself�.

Chloe says, �I�I don�t know what to say. I mean, I�m kind of in a predicament here with this stupid cast on my arm, and the way it�s bent at the elbow it�ll make it even harder to dress myself. So I guess I�ll take you up on your offer as far as you coming over to help me cook and stuff. I�ll pay someone to come help me do the things you can�t help me with�. He says, �But I want to do that. Please let me do that for you. It would really, really make me happy! You know I�d help you myself but�well you know. I�I�m sorry I shouldn�t have said that Chloe. You know that last part. I hope you�ll forgive me�.

She gently runs the back of her hand across his cheek then says, �There�s no need to apologize for wanting to help me do everything. You are the sweetest, most loving, and caring guy I�ve ever met and I don�t want you to ever change. If it�ll make you happy to pay for someone to come help me then it�s fine with me�. He smiles then says, �I think I know just the person to do this. I�ll give her a call when I get to my place�.

The saleslady walks over to them and says, �So have you decided yet�? Philip says, �Chloe will you excuse me for a second�? She says, �Sure. I�ll just be over here looking at the souvenirs�. Linda, the saleslady says, �Well, I�ve done as you asked me to do and have everything in a couple of bags. Just let me know if you like what I picked out, or if there�s anything else you need�.

Philip says, �I�m sure it�ll all be fine so if you have the bill ready here�s my credit card�. She says, �I do�. They walk over to the cash register then she has him sign the receipt. She gives him a copy then passes him two very large bags. He thanks her then takes them in his hands and walks back over to Chloe.

She says, �My goodness! Did you try on that many things�? He smiles then says, �I don�t know, did I�? She says, �Something is up. You sure talked to that saleslady for a long time. What did you do Philip�? He laughs and says, �Who? Me? I�m innocent�! She laughs then says, �Yeah right�! She tries to look in the bag and he says, �Uh�uh�not yet�. She says, �Philip! You didn�t�! He says, �Well Miss Lane, I do believe I�ve peeked your interest. BUT you�re just gonna have to wait�! The saleslady is laughing then says, �Take care you two�. Philip says, �Thanks�.

He says, �Chloe wait right here and I�ll run back to the car and put these bags away. Then we�ll go to the bank�. She says, �O. K. I�ll look in the shop next door�. He looks around and has this feeling they�re being watched but sees no one. He runs to the car then puts the bags in it and locks it up. This feeling gets even stronger and his heart is racing. He�s thinking: My God! This is the same feeling I had when I couldn�t find Chloe. I�ve got to get back to her before something happens to her�!

In the meantime Chloe is walking around in the store looking at souvenirs. She has this uneasy feeling when she sees what appears to be a lady watching her every move. Her heart begins to race when she notices that this isn�t a woman. She decides to walk up to the cash register and tell the saleslady she thinks this may be the guy who attacked her.

Philip runs as fast as he can almost knocking down several tourists on his way back to the store Chloe is in. He makes it to the door then sees Chloe standing close to the cash register and notices this lady getting closer to her. He runs in really quick then says, �Chloe�Chloe Baby�are� are you ready to go�? Before she can say anything he whisks her off of her feet then carries her out of the store. She says, �Philip! That lady is..is that man that�I was�was so scared�.

Philip is running with her in his arms then quickly opens the car door and puts her in her seat. He closes the door then runs over to his side of the car then gets in. As they�re leaving Chloe says, �Philip! There she�I mean he is�. Philip says, �I know Chloe. I think we need to call the Police when we get back to your place. This guy is crazy�. She�s shaking and moves over close to him then lays her head on his shoulder. She says, �My God Philip! Why haven�t the Police put this lunatic behind bars�?

He puts his arm around her then says, �Well they�re looking for a man and this guy disguises himself as a woman. But don�t worry he�s gonna slip up and will be caught�. She says, �I sure hope so. You�re my hero Philip. What�what would I do without you�? His heart melts then he says, �You�re never gonna have to worry about that because as long as I�m alive I�ll always protect you and keep you safe/secure�.

He�s now on the Kaanapali Highway then turns onto Kapalua then stops at the gate and punches the numbers in the pad to gain entry. The gate quickly opens then he drives to the Armstrong Estate then parks in the circular drive. Chloe is still shaking and since her left arm is in the cast it�s really hard for him to hug her like he wants to.

He gets out of the car then goes over to her side and opens the door for her. He gently picks her up and carries her to the front door of the Estate. He sets her down then says, �Do you have the key or do you have the code to punch into the pad�? Chloe is shaking but manages to find it really quick. She says, �Philip! I�m sorry to be so much trouble. You may get tired of rescuing this "damsel in distress" all of the time�. He says, �Never�! He takes the key from her then opens the door.

Chloe looks as white as a sheet and Philip catches her just as she starts to fall to the floor. She has passed out in his arms so he takes her over to the couch and lays her down. He gets down on his knees and tries to get her to open her eyes with no success. He�s really scared and is thinking: God! How much is she supposed to take? Please God let her be all right�! He sees she�s breathing all right then takes her wrist and checks her pulse. It seems to be beating a little fast but after a few minutes it goes back to normal. He gently pushes her hair away from her face then says, �Please Chloe open your eyes so I can see how beautiful they are�.

He�s tried everything he can think of to get her to open her eyes and is thinking: If she doesn�t open her eyes in a minute or so I�d better take her to the Emergency Room. God please bring her back to me. I�I think I�m in love with her�no..I know I�m in love with her. I promise to love her, cherish her, and keep her safe/secure if you�ll just bring her back to me�.

Tears are running down his face and Chloe hears him say, �I need you Chloe. Please come back to me�. She opens her eyes then says, �Philip! What hap�happened�? She wipes his tears away then says, �I�I need you too Philip�. He�s so relieved then looks into her eyes and says, �I�m right here Chloe. Now and forever�.

He says, �How are you feeling now�? She says, �I�m all right but I could use something to drink�. He says, �Do you think you�ll be all right long enough for me to go lock the car? Then I�ll get you something to drink�. She says, �I�m all right. Go ahead�. Philip says, �I�ll be right back�. So he heads out the door and has that eerie feeling again then looks out by the gate and sees a dark blue Camaro slowly drive by. He�s thinking: My God! That looks like the woman..I mean guy�that attacked Chloe. I�d better take these things inside and call the Police�.

He closes the trunk then sees the car has turned around and is now parked on the other side of the street just outside the gate. He locks his car then picks up the bags then slowly walks back into the house. He sets them down then immediately locks the door. He runs into the kitchen then gets a glass of water for Chloe. He gives her the glass of water then lets her take a sip.

She does then sets it down on the coffee table on a coaster and says, �Philip! You look like you�ve seen a ghost. What�s wrong�? He says, �Chloe, I wasn�t gonna say anything to you about this but I don�t want to keep any secrets from you. But before I tell you about this I just want you to know that I�m not gonna let anything happen to you�. She says, �Oh my God! He�s out there, isn�t he? How did he know where to find us�?

She says, �Philip! Please give me my purse�. He gets it for her then she looks inside and can�t find what she�s looking for and says, �Philip! I can�t find that little piece of paper with the name of the bank and this address on it. I�ll bet I dropped it when I reached in my purse to get my wallet out. I was gonna buy one of those little spoons�you know the souvenirs that say "Maui" on them. But I felt uneasy and put my wallet back in my purse. He must�ve picked it up�. Philip says, �Well I�m calling the Lahaina Police Dept. right now�.

He sees a phone on the end table next to the couch then a Rolodex sitting next to it. On the first page are all of the emergency numbers so he quickly finds the Lahaina PD number then makes the call. The person on the other end says, �Lahaina Police Dept., Officer Stevenson speaking. What can I do for you�? Philip says, � �My name is Philip Kiriakis and I�m calling from the Armstrong Estate at 2264 Kapalua. I filed a Police report with an Officer Don Williams of the Kahului Police Dept. last night because the girl I met on the plane was attacked in the Kahului Airport terminal. I�

Officer Stevenson says, �I stopped you because I know all about this case. Did something happen�? Philip explains everything to him then says, �The guy is disguised as a woman and is sitting outside the gate on the other side of the street in an older dark blue Chevy Camaro. I�m guessing on this but I�d say it�s either a 1988 or 1989 . The Armstrong�s are really good friends of Chloe�s and are allowing her to stay here as long as she wants to. I live next door but will stay with her until this guy is caught. What do you want me to do�?

Officer Stevenson says, �Hold on a minute and let me talk to the Chief�. Philip says, �All right�. Chloe sits up and says, �Philip, please come sit by me. I need you close to me�. He smiles then sits down on the couch on the right side of her. He puts his arm around her then holds her tight and says, �Chloe I�m not leaving your side until this guy is caught�. She says, �Thank you Philip. I feel so much better about all of this knowing you�ll be here with me. I�m really scared to stay here in this big house all alone tonight�.

Philip puts the speakerphone on then Officer Stevenson says, �Philip, we�re sending a couple of units your way and hopefully we�ll catch him sitting there waiting for a chance to drive in after one of the residents opens the gate. I�ll call you within the next 10 minutes to let you know what�s going on, all right�? Philip says, �That sounds good to me�. So they hang up and Philip says, � So what would you like to do while we�re waiting�? She says, �Can you just hold me and talk to me�? He hugs her really tight then says, �Sure I can. What do you want to talk about�? She says, �I want to know everything there is to know about you Philip�. Just as he starts to answer the phone rings.

Philip answers and puts the speakerphone on again. Officer Stevenson says, �Well, it looks like he�s abandoned the car so we think he�s on foot. We�re searching the area right now but haven�t spotted him yet. We believe he�s probably in another disguise by now and is going to make his move tonight. We were going to have an undercover Officer stay with you tonight so that when he makes his move we�re on the inside. BUT, the Chief seems to think it�s better for us to leave then come back into the community dressed as residents. Anyway, we�ve already talked to your neighbors and they�ve agreed to let us come into their home so we can keep an eye on the entire community�.

He continues saying, � So there�ll be a brand new black Chevy Tahoe with a male and female in it, as well as a white Porsche with a male and female in it that will be coming through the gate within minutes now. So we want you to stay put and try and relax. We�re going to catch him tonight one way or another�. Philip says, �I sure hope so. Chloe has had enough bad things happen to her in her life and we need this guy behind bars so she can sleep at night. Thanks Officer Stevenson. Please call us and let us know when you catch him�. Officer Stevenson says, �I will. You can count on it�. Philips says, �All right bye for now�. He says, �Later Philip�.

Chloe says, �Philip are you sure you want to get involved with me�I mean you have to rescue me on the plane from this guy, then in the Airport terminal, then you stay by my side in the Hospital and you even pay my bill, then rescuing me from him in the store, and now this. It seems like trouble follows me wherever I go. My whole life has been like this�I�I�m just nothing but trouble�. He gently runs his fingers across her cheek then looks into her eyes and says, �Chloe you�re no trouble at all. In fact this has only brought us closer together. I think everything happens for a reason and think we were destined to be together. I really believe in fate, don�t you�?

She says, �I�ve always believed that Philip. Especially the way it happened with us. You know, we just happened to be outside the Salem Airport at exactly the same time and we ran into each other, then everything that�s happened since then. You know I�ve never been able to talk to anyone the way I talk to you�not even my adoptive Father or my best friend Tammy. I�m not saying we weren�t close but it�s just different somehow. I don�t know�it�s like I can totally be myself with you. I�m so glad you came into my life Philip�. He says, �I feel the same way and�and I know we haven�t known one another very long but I...

He sees something then whispers in her ear, �Chloe, I think I just saw someone run by the window�. Her heart is racing and she says, �Oh my God Philip! Tammy said nobody could get onto the property and I�d be safe�. Philip says, �Well all of the homes in here are fenced and are electric but maybe one of the landscapers deactivated it and didn�t activate it again before he left. That happens you know�especially when these homes are left empty for months at a time. Let me call Officer Stevenson and let him know what�s going on�.

So he picks up the phone and calls. Philip says, �Officer Stevenson I just saw someone run across the back yard. I don�t want to leave Chloe by herself. What should I do�? He says, �Philip, we see him and he�s at the back door and I need the two of you to go upstairs and lock the door. We�re real close to him but want to catch him breaking and entering the residence. I don�t want you running out the front door because I don�t want the two of you to get caught in the cross-fire in case he�s armed and decides to run. Take Chloe upstairs NOW�! Philip says, �All right! We�re headed that way now. Bye�.

Philip says, �Chloe we need to get upstairs Now�. He quickly picks her up and makes his way up the stairs with her. They are now at the top of the stairs and he goes into one of the bedrooms then gently sets her down. He locks the door then pushes the dresser against it. He picks her up then lays her down on the bed and places a pillow under her cast to make her more comfortable. He wants to look out the window but knows it isn�t a good idea.

Chloe says, �Philip please come lie down beside me�. He does then holds her really tight. She�s shaking and he says, �I promise I won�t let anything happen to you Chloe. He kisses her forehead then the alarm goes off and all of the lights in the house start flashing on and off. Chloe�s heart is racing as well as Philip�s but he says, �We need to stay put and hopefully this will all be over in a few minutes. I promise I�ll protect you�.

They hear a lot of noise downstairs then Officer Julie Simms says, �Freeze or I�ll shoot�! The guy starts to charge Julie then her partner, Officer Tom Wong runs in back of him and says, �Do as the lady says�. So he stands still long enough for them to handcuff him. He�s wearing a really baggy dress and has high heels on. He has a long black wig on then false eyelashes as well as a really dark shade of red lipstick smeared all over his lips.

Officer Wong reads him his rights then starts to take him out to the Tahoe. Officer Simms goes upstairs to get Philip/Chloe and he yells, �You little bitc*. You haven�t seen the last of me�. Officer Wong says, �Shut your filthy mouth you animal. I�ve got enough evidence to put you away for a long time. I�ve just received a fax and it appears you have a wrap sheet a mile long�.

Officer Simms is now outside the bedroom door then says, �Miss Lane and Mr. Kiriakis it�s safe to come out now�. Philip looks into Chloe�s eyes then says, �Don�t worry about what he said because I�m never gonna let anyone hurt you, and especially not that scumbag�. He hugs her really tight then says, �Well, I guess we�d better open the door and talk to the Officer�. So he gets up off of the bed then helps Chloe up.

He moves the dresser away from the door, unlocks, then opens it and Officer Simms says, �I would have you come down to the station and give your statements and also to pick him out of a line-up but instead I want you to look at him as he�s standing outside with Officer Wong. I�ll also take your statements while I�m here because Miss Lane has certainly been through enough and needs to rest�. She starts walking down the stairs then Philip/Chloe follow her.

They are now standing in the entryway and Officer Wong made him take off the wig as well as the lipstick. Officer Simms says, �Well, is this the guy who attacked you Chloe? Philip holds her hand then she says, �Yes it is and everything he has on is what he was wearing when he was stalking me in the store�. Officer Simms says, �Philip, is this the guy who attacked Miss Lane at the Airport�? Philip says, �It is definitely him. No doubt about it�. So she goes over to the table and writes up a report then has them sign it.

She gives them a copy of the report and says, �Well he broke the back door and we�ve alerted the Security Guard to keep an eye on this place tonight�. Philip says, �I think I�d feel better if Chloe stayed over at my place tonight. I�ll talk to the security guard and tell him she�ll be with me�if�if that�s all right with you Chloe�. She says, �I�d feel much safer with you at your place Philip. I just want to make sure nobody gets in here and takes everything they own�.

Officer Simms says, �Don�t worry about it Chloe, I�ll talk to the security guard so you don�t have to Philip. We won�t let anyone in this house tonight. We�ll take care of everything. Take care you two and if you need us just give us a yell�. Philip/Chloe both say thanks then she leaves. Philip says, �Well, why don�t I grab our things and we�ll hop in the car and go to my place�? She says, �Thanks Philip for everything. I really appreciate everything you�ve done for me�. He smiles and says, �It�s my pleasure my beautiful angel�. He picks up their things then they make their way out the front door. He places them in the trunk then opens the car door for her then closes it. He runs up to the house and locks the door then hops in the car then makes the short trip to the Estate.

He drives up the long driveway and Chloe can�t believe how much of a difference there is in the Armstrong�s Estate and the Kiriakis�s Estate. On both sides of the road there�s nothing but beautiful lush green grass and all kinds of flowering trees, ferns, Sago palms, Palm trees, and a lot of other tropical plants.

She sees an olympic sized pool to her right as they make their way into the huge driveway. Philip says, �Chloe is everything all right�? She says, �I thought Tammy�s house was huge�this one is enormous. I�d hate to have to clean this place�. Philip smiles then says, �Well we have people come in every couple of days to do that. Tomorrow I want to show you something so remind me all right�? She smiles and says, �All right Philip�.

He parks then they get out of the car. He gets their bags out of the trunk then they both walk over to the front door. Philip has a remote that unlocks the door. Chloe says, �Wow, that�s a great idea�. He says, �I love it because you don�t have to remember a code or fumble to find your key to get in�. He opens the door then says, �Let me go in first to make sure everything is all right. Just follow me�.

She does then can�t believe her eyes. It looks like one huge room with a spiral staircase leading up to the second floor. The floor is all Spanish tile then there are long sofas with floral prints on them. The couches are situated to the left of the staircase facing one another. There�s a beautiful blue rug in the middle of them with a huge coffee table sitting on it. There are lots of windows and the largest French doors she�s ever seen. Everything is so neat and clean.

Philip puts their stuff down and says, �Chloe are you hungry�? She says, �How about coming into the kitchen with me and let�s raid the refrigerator�! When you were in the Hospital I called and asked Linda to stock the refrigerator with the stuff she knows I like to eat. We also have all kinds of ice cream in the freezer. What do you say�? She says, �MMM�I could sure go for some chocolate chip ice cream if you have some�. He says, �My favorite too. I can tell you that we do. Come on let�s go get some�. So they head into the kitchen.

Chloe can�t believe her eyes. This is the biggest kitchen she�s ever seen in her entire life. The island in the center of the room is huge. He takes her over to a huge refrigerator then opens the freezer to find a box of chocolate chip ice cream. He takes it out and places it on the counter, then looks in the cupboard and takes out a huge bowl. He then gets two spoons, as well as an ice cream scoop out of the drawer. He fills the bowl with ice cream then places the two spoons in it and says, �Well now all we need is a couple of napkins and we�re set�. She says, �MMM�that looks so good Philip. I take it we�re gonna eat all of that�? He flashes those dimples and that smile then says, �You betcha�!

He leads her into the great room then over into another area with a big screen tv. There�s a sectional sofa there and he says, �Well, first of all I�m gonna set this bowl of ice cream down on the coffee table because the ice cream is still a little hard. I have something for you that I think you�ll like. So let me go get the bag�. She says, �Philip what did you buy�? He says, �You�ll see. Close your eyes�. She does then he runs over to the two bags then brings one back with him. He says, �All right you can open your eyes now�. He hands her the big bag then says, �Why don�t you sit on the couch and look inside and tell me what you think�?

She has tears in her eyes because he bought the dresses she was looking at in the store in Lahaina that were on the rack. This bag is full of clothes that are really beautiful. She says, �Philip I�I can�t believe you did this. How did you know my size�? He says, �Well the saleslady is responsible for that. If you look in the bottom of the bag you�ll find something that you might like to wear now. It might be a lot more comfy than that dress you have on�.

She pulls out a light blue pair of what looks like pants with beautiful flowers on them. These pants remind her of something you would sleep in and the material is like silk. She then pulls out the top to it. It has buttons all the way down the front. She says, �Philip this is just so beautiful. The material is like silk�. But how am I gonna put it on unless�unless you help me�.

He says, �Well, I�ve been thinking about that and I can close my eyes and unzip your dress then it should fall to the floor. Then I�ll close my eyes but hold the pants out for you then you can put your hand on my back for support and slip your feet into the legs. Then I�ll just pull them up for you. Then for the top I�ll�Chloe says, �You don�t have to close your eyes when you help me with my top because the bra I have on isn�t anywhere near as revealing as the ones the girls out on the beach were wearing. I trust you Philip, so if you�ll help me I�d appreciate it�.

He closes the blinds then says, �All right now, I�m gonna close my eyes and unzip your dress�. She stands there and her heart is racing even more than it does when he holds her. She says, �My dress is on the floor. So he holds her pants out for her then she uses her right hand to hold onto his back as she places one foot in one leg then the other foot into the other leg. He pulls them up then she says, �Thanks Philip. You can open your eyes now�. So he does and his heart skips a beat and it�s really warm in the room. He takes the top then starts to put it on her and notices that her back has bruises all over it. He has tears in his eyes but quickly wipes them away because he doesn�t want to upset her. He places one sleeve over the cast then places the other sleeve over her right arm. He gently pulls it to the front and starts buttoning it for her.

He melts when he looks into her eyes and sees the love in them. He thinks she�s the most precious thing he�s ever seen. He�s thinking he�d gladly give up everything he owns just to be with her. He has now finished buttoning the blouse for her then says, �Now I have something else for you�. So he pulls a little spoon�the souvenir he saw her looking at that has �Maui� on it out of his pocket then gives it to her. She says, �Oh Philip! You didn�t have to do that�. He smiles and says, �But I wanted to�. He gently moves her hair over her shoulder then says, �Now that you�re comfy I�m gonna go change into something more comfortable. It�ll just take me a minute�.

So he runs over to the bag and pulls out a pair of light blue silk pants and quickly takes his other ones off then puts these on. He pulls a white muscle shirt out and quickly puts it on. He tucks it inside his pants then runs his hands through his hair and walks back over to her. He says, �Did I tell you how beautiful you look�? She smiles then says, �Thanks! You look�look pretty good yourself�. He smiles then says, �Well how about I help you down onto the floor and we lean against the couch and I�ll feed you�? She says, �Philip! You�re spoiling me�. He says, �That�s the plan�. So he helps her down onto the floor. He then sits on her right side and takes a spoon and starts feeding ice cream to her. She then feeds some to him. She says, �Philip I�ve never had so much fun just doing the little things like this with you�. He says, �I feel the same way Chloe�.

He sets his spoon down then says, �I�m kind of full. How about you�? She says, �Yeah. We ate a lot more than we thought huh�? He looks into her eyes then says, �Chloe will�will..She says, �What are you trying to ask me Philip�? He says, �Well..I know we�ve only known each other like a day but I was wonderin� if you�d�if you�d be my�be my girl�? She can�t believe what he just asked her then says, �Philip you want me to be�be your girl�as in girlfriend�? He smiles then says, �Yes! But you don�t have to answer right this instant. You can have as long as you like to think about it because I don�t ever want to pressure you into anything�. She has a tear in her eye then says, �I�d love to be your girlfriend�. He says, �MMM..I�m so very happy and want you to know that I want to take this relationship of ours nice and slow�. She smiles then says, �Me too�.

They look into each other�s eyes then her heart starts racing and she�s filled with excitement and is a little scared of what she�s feeling. She knows he wants to kiss her and that�s exactly what she wants him to do. She hungers for the taste of his lips on hers and wonders what it would be like. He wants to kiss her so badly and his heart feels like it could beat completely out of his chest. He can�t help himself then gently places his hands on her face then tenderly kisses her on her soft, warm lips.

This kiss is followed by a couple more really tender kisses then he breaks away and says, �MMM..I could kiss you forever. You make me feel things I�ve never felt before�. Chloe says, �I�I feel the same way Philip�. He gets up off of the floor then says, �I�ll be right back. I just need to push the button on the wall to secure the house. You know to lock all of the doors and stuff�. So he does then comes back to her.

He helps her up off of the floor then takes her over to a really big chair that looks like you could get lost in it. He sits down then spreads his legs apart then pats the chair with his hand and says, �Why don�t you sit down in front of me and in �your spot� and I�ll hold you for a while�. She�s so happy and feels so content then sits down in front of him with her back to his chest. He wraps his arms around her then places his head on her shoulder. He says, �MMM�this is what I call heaven�.
