Drill Press Upgrade
I had so much success at converting the band saw to run slower for
metal cutting, that I decided to do the same to the drill press. I chose
a 1 3/4" pulley for the motor and a 8 1/4" pulley for the jack shaft. I
moved the switch from the back of the drill press to the front for safety
and convenience. Below is a chart of the calculated speeds and ratios. |
