The Chaos Bringer

Stryfe, the man who had teleported into the Clan Chosen's Grand Canyon base camp grabbed Tyler Dayspring dropped a thermite bomb and teleported out with Tyler while the bomb destroyed the camp and killed almost all within including Aliya Dayspring, she who was Cable's wife.
Stryfe, the man who had, when confronted by Cable and a squad of Clan Chosen volunteers, sent Cable's own adoptive son against them. Tyler slid in behind the group and neural linked to Dawnsilk. Cable was forced to shoot Tyler in order to save his clan sister.
Stryfe, the man who had eluded Cable for months. Even to the point of jumping back in time.
Stryfe, who now, finally, stood before him. Supremely even laughingly confident. Stryfe had reason, it seemed, to be in such good cheer. For Stryfe had a small army in this underground fortress in Afghanistan. While Cable had only five that stood with him. But Cable had been prepared for this day for months. He had decided that Stryfe would die by the same weapon that had taken his beloved Aliya from him.
Stryfe was totally unprepared when Cable popped a belt of thermite bombs in his face. He immediately teleported out leaving his men to die. Cable had the Professer "body-slide" himself and the pack to a nearby mountian top where they watched as the entire facility which Stryfe had maintained for Tolliver (Who is really Tyler, don't forget) was destroyed.
G.W. Bridge immediately demanded to know why Cable had destroyed a base belonging to the man that had hired them and warned Cable that if they did not get this squared away that all of them would be walking targets.
To which Cable replied,
"We already are..."
"...Stryfe is here..."

Eight months passed, eight long months in which the Pack was hounded at every turn by hired gunmen, mercs, mob hitmen anyone with an eye to cash in on the bounty placed on the Pack's collective heads by Tolliver.
Nathan payed scant attention to any of this. He still had only one goal at this point...to kill the armored demon Stryfe. Nathan taxed his every resource to the fullest. Chased down every lead. Stryfe would not excape him again. This Cable swore.
Then in a rugged mountain pass in Uruguay, they found another underground facility. Now that Cable was reasonably sure that Stryfe would not escape him once again, he gave some thought to his "Chosen" task. To stop the rise of Apocalypse and thereby prevent the whole timeline wherein he was raised and prevent the bloody wars that consumed the world after the fall of Apocalypse. Stryfe had more information on Apocalypse than Nathan could ever dream of obtaining. (Since Apocalypse himself had raised Stryfe from a babe thinking him to be the true son of Cyclops) Cable had to have this information. With it he could save untold billions of lives in the future.
So while the rest of the Pack planted the explosives he had Hammer to tap Stryfe's main computer systems and download everything.
The explosives were set on a three minute timer the info was downloaded to disc for once everything seemed to be falling into place. Then CHAOS, Stryfe himself teleported in and grabbed Kane before anyone could react.
This time with the future of the entire planet in his care Cable decided that he could wait another day to kill Stryfe. This information had to be gotten out. If he could get it to Blaquesmith, then he would come back for Stryfe. That way even if he failed and died Blaquesmith would carry out the mission. Nathan ordered the "Professor" to body-slide the Pack out of there.........and nothing happened.
"Did you think I would let you excape once I had you, Nathan Dayspring? I think not. This facility has shields to block your teleport wavelength. I cannot allow you to leave with the information you have stolen. Give me the disc and I will give you the boy." said Stryfe.
"Deal" Hammer told him.
Grabbing Hammer's arm, Cable said, "Hammer--I Need that diskette!"
Jerking away, Hammer replied, "Nothing thats in there is worth Kane's life"
Cable's mind raced. The lives of billions of innocents who would die, and worse, under the mad rule of Apocalypse, rested on what he did or did not do in the next few seconds.
"Hammer stop! Hammer you are clueless as to what's really going on here! HAMMER!" Cable shouted.
"Fifteen seconds" whispered G.W.
Cable thought of all the atrocities that he had seen, all of the senseless death, all the torment and suffering. He thought of Aliya and Tyler and of the uncounted billions of husbands, wives, fathers, mothers, children, brothers and sisters that could be saved by the information on that disc. And he raised his gun.
"HAMMER!!" he aimed his gun.
"Damn you for doing this to me" and he slowly squeezed the trigger.
"Damn me for doing this to you." and the gun fired.
Hammer screamed and fell. The disc went sailing through the air. Cable was there in a heartbeat, grabbing for the disc. But it was no longer there.
Stryfe had telekineticly snatched the disc just befort Cable could grab it, dropping Kane he teleported out.
"Ten seconds" G.W. said.
"Professor, I can't let him get away--Graymalkin Access Override--Timerip By One!" Cable shouted, to the dismay of the others.
The Pack tried to flee, but there was no hope. They were caught in the explosion. No one should have been able to survive the expolsion of so many thermite bombs. The only thing that saved the Pack was the presence of Domino. Her probability altering powers Her so called knack for having things fall her way, or in this case not fall her way.
G.W. Bridge and Grizzly, who were closest to Dom, escaped any serious injury. Kane who was the fartherest from Dom was not so lucky.
Thus ended, The Six Pack. Two were crippled, one by Cable's own hand who remains handicapped to this day. The other Garrison Kane would volunteer for Canada's "Weapon X" Program and have his ruined arms replaced with bionic ones.
Theodore Winchester aka Grizzly retired to the Austrialian Outback, where he found the peace and seclusion a welcome change of pace.
G.W. Bridge went private. Started taking jobs for the CIA, Britain's MI5, Canada's Dept. H and SHEILD where he remained. He rose fast and was put in charge of mutant affairs by Col. Nick Fury. Upon Col. Fury's apparent death he was placed in charge of SHIELD and is the current director.
Domino too went private working for many of the same clandestine organizations that G.W. had worked with. It was during this time that she met and befriended Eugene Judd aka "Puck" of Alpha Flight. She floated from one shadow op to another for a few years until she was kidnapped and held hostage by Tolliver aka Tyler who wanted to use her against Cable.

Now We Continue With The New Mutants
