On a horse, someone whose disability prevents them from walking has the legs to run. Someone whose disability isolates them from others has a friend to trust. Someone whose disability impairs their balance has a way to regain it. And someone-anyone-whose disability presents special obstacles has the opportunity to overcome them."ON A HORSE"![]()
In 1999, two good friends decided they wanted to share their dreams with others. Their shared dream is to make a difference in the lives of children, especially disadvantaged, disabled, or troubled youth. Their dream is to make the wishes of children come true. Both are experienced horsemen. Combined, they have experience in business management, supervision, and working with juveniles, the handicapped, and troubled individuals through corrections, law enforcement, and other youth programs. Both have worked in 4-H, scouts and High School Rodeos. On a small ranch in White Pine County, near Ely, Nevada, we will provide an atmosphere of individualism through the unity of Mother Nature, the great outdoors, and animals. The ranch will provide recreation and education through unity with horses and good country living.

There are many under privileged, disadvantaged, disabled or troubled youth who deserve the opportunity to experience life to the fullest by sharing the experience of unity with Mother Nature. Through love, respect, and admiration, the horse and the great outdoors can provide great therapy for the heart, mind, and soul. The experiences enhance one's self-esteem, love, and respect for life and fellow man. If we can help one child overcome the limits of a disabling injury or disease, make a terminally ill child smile, or stop a shooting on the streets or in a school, then we have accomplished something short of a miracle. Dream Catchers' Ranch wants to provide this opportunity to any young person, regardless of ability or income. Being a solely nonprofit organization, we need support from grants, fundraisers and donations from private individuals and corporations. In short we need your help!
