During the period 1988 to 1990, a great occurrence was rumoured to have happened. This occurrence, which can never be truly verified, was the creation of a script for the third movie under the Rocky Horror Picture Show moniker. This script, which describes a movie called Revenge of the Old Queen, was written by Richard O�Brien himself. Featuring Frank-N-Furter�s mother, the Old Queen, the story details the title action.

In this sequel, some of the fundamental pieces of the storyline are thrown out the window, as ROTOQ describes Brad and Janet as never having married. The movie, which seems to directly follow and circumvent all events in Shock Treatment, features an illegitimate son that could possibly belong to Janet Weiss, Brad�s brother, and some other members of Frank-N-Furters family.

The movie seems to be one that is permanently on hiatus. This point is only made more clear from a quote that Richard O�Brien himself made on Rocky Radio, �By the time I got into the second draft, Joe Ross, who had commissioned it in the first place, moved on from Fox, I think he went to Disney, as I remember. I'm sure you're familiar with the scenario... when somebody has commissioned something and it hasn't actually got the green light, the new head comes in and looks at the desk and says, 'Well, we're not committed to that.' and that stack, and it is a stack, hits the floor�.

The only thing that RHPS and ST fans can hope for would be the buying out of the script rights from FOX and finding a new company to do that. Since over 10 years have passed since the script was written, it is widely accepted that Richard does not feel like the movie needs to be made.
